    Tabbouli

The food at Hamsa is excellent. Their chicken is high quality and delicious, bursting with lemon and spice from their marinade. Their fries appear to be hand cut, skin-on and made in house (just going by their look). Their tabbouli is fresh and hits the correct balance of mostly greens to a small amount of bulgur. Even their falafel has a good flavor and texture. Their coffee drinks are also great, and I appreciate being able to adjust the sweetness level. The main problem I have is that I find them overpriced for the small portions they offer. Their chicken sandwich is a lavash with sparse filling; a lot of bread wrapped around itself. It is $17 and doesn't come with any sides, just a slice of cucumber, tomato, and pickle as garnish. Doesn't even come with extra sauce (it isn't needed; just trying to think of a way to justify the price for such a small sandwich). Fries are $5 but come with less than half a small box full. The $6 tiny plastic box of tabbouli had lettuce leaves underneath to take up space. Again, I believe this is some of the best Palestinian/Lebanese food around, no doubt. But because it feels like too little for the price, we will restrict how often we visit. But I urge you to try it and make up your own mind!

**vegetarian review** I did takeout from this place. I got the falafel wrap and the akawi cheese wrap. They are both delicious. Perfect quantity of stuffing to wrap, very flavoursome. It's more expensive than other Mediterranean places for sure - usually falafel wrap is 10-12 and here it's 15. But it also felt different than other places in flavour and quality. I definitely think this will be in my regular rotation now on!

I stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch. Street parking was easy to find. Upon entry, I was greeted immediately. Service was very friendly. The cafe was clean, well-lit, and inviting. The space wasn't too big, but there were a few empty tables. I decided to order the grilled garlic chicken bowl with half rice and half salad. In addition to the rice and salad, the bowl also consisted of white chicken meat and garlic sauce. It was so delicious! The chicken was marinated and cooked perfectly. The rice was aromatic and tasty. The salad had just the right amount of dressing. To drink, I ordered the mint lemonade with 50% sweetness which was refreshing. Highly recommended and I will come back in the future. They have a great brunch menu which I want to try next.

Omg! I'm so happy we got to try the food here. The chicken shawarma sandwich tasted so good love that it comes with tomato, pickles, and garlic (duh!). They have so many GF options on the menu too. The falafel bowl looked so good. They also have a Dubai Chocolate drink! Perfect treat!!(for next time) The owner and his team are super friendly and kind! There's street parking in the area (and some spots near the dominoes). The pale blue and white interiors are so inviting. Thanks Amro!!

Went here after a run with friends for coffee. They graciously opened an hour early for our group. I was hungry so I got the cauliflower falafel and hummus. Everything was fresh and tasted house made. The service was super friendly and they even allowed our group to sample some house made falafel. Would come here again!

The best restaurant I've tried all month! Wow I am so impressed. This cute restaurant offers a huge selection of items that range from wraps, bowls, to matcha and coffee. I got a handful of things to try their menu and each item did not disappoint! Everything was so simple yet sophisticated, involving different flavors and textures. I really liked the crispy cauliflower, fried cheese, and lemonade among the other things I got! The owner Amr is so friendly, he was very welcoming and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant and would come back!

Very good food! Loved the kuffta wrap. The tahini was nice and thick I don't like runny tahini sauces it always makes me sad and it tastes a little off this was one of the best I've had. The chicken is good to. The fried akawi cheese was super yummy they brought out some honey to top it off! Chefs kiss Highly recommend!! Loved the decor every part of it!

You're getting truly authentic Middle Eastern food here, Palestinian owned and loaded with generous portions. Every dish tastes like home with nothing lacking in flavor. The lemon refreshers are bright and refreshing, made with fresh lemon and mint. The owners are inviting and friendly, and the customers all seem genuinely happy to be there. A wonderful experience all around. I'll back for Turkish coffee and more food.

This is a VERY casual spot with counter ordering and eating from takeout containers at one of six tables. The food is tasty -- if not quite remarkable -- and the staff friendly. The food should travel well so takeout should be an option.

Hamsa is a new spot on the main 45th St drag in Wallingford that is a café serving delicious middle Eastern food alongside great coffee drinks. With its large windows and sky blue décor, the small space feels light and airy. Tried a couple of items on the menu - the falafel was honestly one of the best versions I have had in awhile. Its fried in avocado oil and was perfectly fried without being heavy or greasy in the least bit. The Za'atar, akawi and labneh sandwich was also very good, and it was my first time trying akawi, a brined cheese with a softer texture than halloumi. I had both sandwiches with a thin lavash bread which made it very easy to eat without making a mess. Nice selection of coffee drinks including a few with middle eastern twists as well as interesting soda choices too (ended up with a clear Turkish one that tasted like Dr. Pepper!). The owner is very welcoming and takes a lot of pride in his creations and it shows in the end product and service. Definitely a great spot to grab coffee or a meal to go or to dine in!

The food here was delicious! Came with a friend for lunch, we loved the grilled garlic chicken bowl & sandwich and all the appetizers we tried too! The service was super quick and everyone working was so friendly. We loved the ambiance and it was a relaxing cafe to get a lunch in!

I got the classic smash with an extra patty. There's an obvious focus on quality ingredients, and overall the burger was enjoyable. The meat itself could be seasoned a bit more, so I'd recommend going with one of their more adventurous options to add some flavor. My biggest gripe has to do with the fries. $5+ is steep for the portion they're offering. Overall: 3.75/5

We ordered a couple of truffle mushroom smash burgers and a spicy lover's smash burger, and every single one was fantastic. They delivered exactly what you want from a smash burger: juicy patties with perfectly crispy, caramelized edges, all tucked into soft, toasty brioche buns. The buns were a standout - they held everything together beautifully and soaked up the juices without getting soggy. The fries were crisp and satisfying, rounding out the meal nicely. This is definitely a spot we'll be adding to our regular rotation.
