Aziz was so friendly and welcoming! We loved the food and the cozy atmosphere. We'll be coming back again for sure

All dishes are amazingly good. Very good cost performance. Nothing is too salty, feel healthy afterwards.

We were visiting from out of town and this place was close to our hotel (about a 10 minute walk) We were walk ins and were promptly seated. We all opted to do the feast, which included lentil soup, the house salad, the Bastilla, an entree per person and dessert and mint tea. Really good value for the amount of food you get. The interiors were cute, but yeah the lower seating does hurt some butts if you're not used to it lol. The soup was perfect on a cold rainy Seattle night. I enjoyed the Bastilla (whole party shares one) and it is odd to say it's a sweet meat pie but it's delicious. For my entree I got the lamb shank with couscous. In my opinion it was slightly underseasoned and I am used to getting a side of sauce/broth when I get couscous at a Moroccan restaurant .. this place didn't have that. The other diners in my party thoroughly enjoyed their dinner. It was Saturday night so we thought may be belly dancing but not that night when we visited.

We chose a variety of main courses, including lamb, vegetarian, chicken and kabobs to go with the rest of the courses. Everything was absolutely delicious. The pacing of the serving was perfect. Each course was great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. An absolutely wonderful dining experience but be forewarned that the seating is traditionally a tad low to the ground.

    1. Loved how the interior looked, really set the vibe for everything and made everything feel casual and comfortable 2. Yummy Lemon and Olive Chicken, my friends and I were just scooping spoonfuls of just the seasoning to eat. The couscous marrakesh lamb was also very delicious! Then we ended it off with their baklava and rice pudding which were very very yummy. We looked forward to the Turkish coffee the most and it was absolutely addicting. We drank three at 7pm lol 3. Okay service, had to time perfectly to catch a server's attention. But they're very kind nonetheless. 4. We made it just in time for the performance and the dancer was incredible! 5. Definitely recommend reserving for parties of 4+

ucked away in Belltown, Marrakesh offers an authentic Moroccan dining experience that's hard to beat. The moment you step inside, the dim lighting, traditional decor, and plush seating transport you to a vibrant North African setting. But it's not just the ambiance that impresses--the food is truly the star. We sampled the spicy lamb, the lamb rack, grilled lamb kebab, all standout dishes that exemplifies Marrakesh's expertise. Each bite was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with a blend of spices that highlighted the meat's natural flavors. It's served with a side of fluffy couscous and vegetables, which complemented the dish well. If you're a fan of lamb, this is a must-try. The experience doesn't end with the food. The live belly dancing performances add an extra layer of excitement to the meal. The dancer we watched was incredibly talented, captivating the room with her fluid movements and vibrant costume. It's a delightful way to immerse yourself in the Moroccan atmosphere. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a unique dining experience in Seattle, Marrakesh is a wonderful choice. Great food, lively entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere make it a memorable night out.

When you walk in, the ambience makes you feel like you stepped into a tent in Morocco. There is no window in the restaurant, and I would've never thought it's a such a different world inside. The server brought a kettle to wash your hands before meal. We got three free appetizers when we ordered the daily special. We got lamb shank and assorted kebabs, and they were delicious. There was even dessert and tea after the meal. The server was very attentive and respectful. Overall, it was a great experience!

A fantastic Moroccan restaurant in Belltown. The staff are very friendly and the ambiance is fantastic. To start, they wash your hands and then the 5 course dinner begins. The first course is the salad which was fresh and served with bread. Next was lentil soup which was flavorful. Then came B'stilla Royale which had a phyllo dough crust stuffed with ground chicken and spices topped with powdered sugar. I had the special of the day which was kababs, kofta, and basmati rice which all were very flavorful and perfectly cooked. The last course was a milk pudding served with mint tea. Every dish went perfectly with the next and it was a fantastic dinner. Overall, this is a great place to come for dinner and they also take reservations. I can't wait to come back soon and try more dishes.

This is an excellent Moroccan Restaurant. The ambience makes you feel like you are in Morocco, and the food and service are incredible. I ordered chicken, spicy lamb and CousCous, all the food was incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I came here for Valentine's Day and it was an amazing experience. The food was delicious and the service & decor was spectacular. They started off with hand washing at the table by pouring rose water into your hands. There was a set 4 course meal and we made a reservation. 1. Salad with unlimited bread 2. Phyllo meat pie 3. Choice entree 4. Baklava I got the lamb for my entree and my bf got the chicken with pear. Both entrees were very good we just wish it came with rice or potatoes. My favorite dish was the phyllo meat pie, I've never had thin flaky crust like that before and it was delicious! There was also a belly dancing performance during our dinner which was a delightful surprise!

After a long day and a hurt knee my 13 YO Grandson and I went to this wonderful and beautiful place. You do wait a few seconds on arrival because they are doing such good service with the other guests. The staff was so friendly. Gave us great ideas. The dinner came with salad, appetizer, dessert. The mint tea was comforting and good with just the right sweetness. I have not eaten Moroccan food much everything we got was delicious I recommend the mixed grill. I don't normally eat a great deal I ate everything and cleaned the plate with the bread. Price was very reasonable.

so-so in terms of flavor and texture. Writing this as a non-Moroccan myself, but I only somewhat enjoyed all the dishes. They were all consistently bland in flavor, lukewarm in temperature, and nothing much to speak of in terms of texture. Was told that the ambience looks exactly like what a restaurant in Marrakesh would look like, so I'm glad I got to experience that.

I was beyond delighted by the service, food, and experience here. We just stumbled across this place. Firstly, there's a gorgeous tiled piece on the front facade of the restaurant. When you enter, the ambiance is dark, cozy, and homey. You're seated at low tables on small pouf/cushions. There's a 5 course meal option and a La carte menu. At first they only give you the 5 course meal option which honestly sounds like a good deal (all we're around 28-30 bucks). We grabbed a couscous dish and this dish that ended up being like a gourmet Moroccan hot pocket. All dishes were delicious. We shared two aka carte items between 3 people. Before we were served the server, a really kind person, washed our hands. We all put our hands over a beautiful silver basin looking thing and he poured water over them. Was truly looking for a quick dinner and had delightful immersive experience instead.

This is a lively place, always filled with a lot of upscale looking customers. So the atmosphere is quite loud, but fun in a buzzing way. We were seated quickly, as we had reservations. Our server Charlie, was engaging, friendly and on top of things. We ordered the shared dips---olive tapenade, eggplant, hummus, tatziki with some warm pita triangles. They're all good and a fun way to start the dinner. We each had kebabs---lamb, chicken and mushroom. All good, moist and tender all poured with a jig of ouzo on a hot skillet. The onions in the bottom get browned and crusty, so good to eat. One had a lamb burger which looked juicy and served with delicious mound of fries sprinkled with rosemary. Food here has always been awesome. Skipped dessert as we had homemade cookies to eat at our next stop.

However after we expressed that we didn't want to wait that long, we were told that if we wanted outdoor seating they could actually seat us in less than half an hour. We chose the outdoor seating option and took a quick stroll in the quiet neighborhood before coming back. Our server told us that Homer's plates are meant to be family style and shared so their general recommendation is 1 large plate or 2 small plates per person. For us, we ordered the Set of top 3 spreads, lamb ragu on tahini and we were served with 5 pieces of warm pita. We also ordered Grilled Pork with Stinging nettles, raw albacore tuna with taramasalata, and smoked and shaved kohlrabi. Our server warned us that the pork was going to be on the fatty side but we were still surprised by how fatty it was. The spreads for the pita were amazing as usual-- their seasonal flavors taste amazingly fresh. Our table wanted to order more pita and when someone came by to take the empty plate they asked if we wanted more which we did let them know but even by the time we finished all the plates, we never got the additional pita so we just took it off. The Kohlrabi was an amazingly refreshing palette cleanser before the pork-- super light and refreshing. After we finished our meal we grabbed some soft serve from the window and wow, for 7$ it's quite a lot of ice cream! The flavors that were offered when we were there was Dark Chocolate and Kettlekorn. I sampled the swirl and the fusion of the saltiness of the kettle korn, the slight bitter and sweetness of the dark chocolate was immaculate. Final thoughts: very cool experience, inside I could see the open kitchen and the stone wood fired oven and the ingredients tasted amazing. However it is a little inconvenient that it's walk in unless you're a party of 6 since the lines and wait can get incredibly long. It's also difficult to find parking in the area. Very neat experience!

Yalla is a walk up window, and there are just a couple of benches right outside where you can eat, and according to other reviews you can also go to Montana Bar next door with your food. The menu is posted in a couple places right next to the ordering window, and it's pretty easy to parse. Almost everything there is what I'd consider a "portable food", meaning something you don't need a plate, fork, and knife to eat, which makes sense given that it's not a sit down restaurant. They have veggie saj, meaty saj, mezze, a few sides, and a dessert. I really like their concise menu. We tried the baba ghanoush ($9.5), which comes with saj on the side, a batinjan and labneh saj wrap ($12), and a halloumi grilled cheese (halloumi grilled inside saj, $13). As you can tell, the saj underpins everything at Yalla, and their saj is excellent. Warm, soft, flaky, and tearable, it is perfect for both dipping and wrapping and grilling. The batinjan and labneh wrap is bursting (literally) with tender grilled eggplant, a rich sauce, and tangy, creamy labneh. It is truly one of the most delicious eggplant dishes I've ever had. The halloumi grilled cheese definitely hits the spot, and is more filling than you think by looking at it. Baba ghanoush is so smooth and flavorful, and I love the pomegranate seeds on top! The folks who work there are super nice, very friendly, and food comes out quickly. Prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely be back to try some of their meaty saj! This place is going into my regular rotation, for sure.

This…read morewas exciting to me as I enjoy food from the Middle Eastern part of the world, and the entrees do look very enticing! We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.
