oh wowowow! ive had this place bookmarked for so long and finally got to try it this week. it blew me away! came in with two girlfriends and got sat in a booth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place was so cute, there were booths, bar seats, some patio seats, and i think a room in the back too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] menu had options for everyone, veg options, meat options, entrees, and drinks. it was a good amount to choose from, not so much that it got overwhelming. we got pretty much all the potato options, and i loved every single one of them. all the flavors worked so well with one another, some subtle, some packed a punch. the aioli thats featured in a lot of the tapas we ordered is to die for! i would buy it if they sold it. the chop salad actually was kind of an underdog. it surprised me, the vinaigrette that its marinated in is so delicious, i probably would have slurped it up if i werent so full. for entrees, we ordered the lamb skewers and meatballs. the lamb was heavily spiced and came with a eggplant dip. the meat was a bit tough but still tasted good. the meatballs were delicious, also well spiced, and came in a tomato red sauce with crispy bread. i think we ordered 5-6 tapas and 2 entrees, and it was enough food! and price was actually quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. read more

Terrible service in omitting the included gratuity for a party of 5 and then ignoring my refund request. I called Itto's 7 times and emailed them once to no reply. Below is my request. The purpose of this email is to request a partial refund of $40 for my friend and I each on our visit on May 23rd, 2026. The main reason for this request is that we did not know about the included gratuity in our bill. It was hard to notice this and consequently, after splitting the bill, my friend and I tipped an additional $40 each. First of all, imposing a mandatory gratuity is not industry standard. Just to make sure it's not me and it's you, I called six other restaurants nearby Itto's Tapas: Due Cucina, KinD, Pegasus, Lady Jaye, and Matador in West Seattle. None of them add a mandatory gratuity regardless of party size. However, when I called Shadowland they informed me they do add a gratuity for parties with 6 guests or more. We had only 5 guests and our receipt includes a line item for "large party." Five guests is not a large party and only requires one server. This demonstrates Itto is the only restaurant imposing a mandatory gratuity for groups of 5 in the area. We did not see this line item at the time and did not expect to have to audit the receipt for a practice that is not industry standard nor were we a large party. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Furthermore Itto's own website describes itself as "softly lit" making it hard to see the receipt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, we generously ordered many items from your menu making it even harder to see the "large party" scam line on a receipt with so many words on it. Finally, we were socializing and listening to each other's stories and not reviewing the bill with a fine tooth comb. Next, your server lacked the proper manners to inform us of the included gratuity nor did she thank us for the 20% we already paid for. She was not a mute and capable of using her voice to inform me that Itto does not accept the Discover credit card I originally tried to pay with and that Itto only accepts Visa and Mastercard. Therefore it's reasonable to conclude she was purposely omitting to tell us that the gratuity was already paid for when she returned with the second receipt. Next, we thanked our server several times when she took our order, brought our food and drinks, and when she refilled our water. It would behoove your staff to be as thankful as the guests they are serving. Saying "thank you for the 20% tip you already paid me" would be the right and polite thing to do. It's shameful and poor manners to omit gratitude for a gratuity paid. Minimum wage in Seattle is $21.30 and our included gratuity was $60.30, almost triple that. That is more than enough for a job that does not require an advanced degree and the student loans that come along with one. Instead, our opportunistic server with poor manners collected an additional $80 for a total gratuity of $140.30 for about one hour of work. Given a subtotal of $301.50, that amounts to 47%. Do you ever tip that much when you go out to eat? No, that is an absurd amount. The service did not amount to that. I've been to a restaurant where the silverware is changed and the servers scoop the crumbs from the white linen tablecloth before every course. We did not get this kind of 5 star service at all. Instead we were taken advantage of. Please return the $40 to my card and to the card that my friend used to pay the bill at your restaurant on Saturday night. Zaalouk eggplant with tomato spread on baguette -- this one was ok, the spread was cold and the flavors were ok compared to the rest. stuffed dates -- outstanding. The creamy goat cheese and balsamic reduction paired very well. Maakouda sliced potato cake - star of the night. Perfectly fried with a little heat Spicy Harissa Vegetables - mostly brussel sprouts with the red peppers and harissa. The brussels really needed the red peppers. Chicken Bastilla -- This was a great entree. The phyllo crust on the outside was done very well. The cinnamon, honey went so well with the chicken and almonds. you could taste every flavor. Look for the list of wine specials on the chalk board; those will be $10 pours, the majority of which will be excellent. I love tapas and Itto's was amazing. I enjoyed the Moroccan style and could definitely taste the spices especially in the meatballs and lamb! We tried a variety of food from the dolmes to croquettes and all were exceptional. I had the foggy ras cocktail, which was served with smoke and although strong was super yummy! For food we ordered (1) scallops -- perfectly seared over a bed of corn salad. There were only 4 pieces so i would have still been hungry, had we not ordered more food. I remembered going to Itto's years ago when I was in the area with a friend. My partner and I wanted to grab food after checking out Atstra Lumina and I remembered Itto's wasn't too far away. This place is perfect for someone who is a carnivore dating someone who is almost vegetarian. The tapas menu is laid out in sections for vegetarian and vegan, seafood, and meat. He ordered the Spicy Harissa Vegetable, Maakouda (Moroccan spiced potato cake), and Khoudra Burger, and liked them in this order. The Spicy Harissa Vegetables were a big hit, the table next next to us even commented on how good it was when it showed up. The Maakouda was also very savory, the Khoudra burger was kind of a miss. The flavor was alright but not as savory as the other items and it was falling part and definitely needed a fork and knife. I got the tenderloin as an entree and requested the potatoes on the side so my partner could have them. I ordered rare, and this was definitely rare, it was almost blue. This tenderloin competes with the best steak houses in Seattle, it was perfect. Perfect temp, amazing flavor, and I was surprised the demi was also on the side but then I could dip the tenderloin in as much as I wanted. The portions were great too, not too much or too little. The bar has chartreuse and he ordered a last word. I usually stick to tea or water but went for an NA shrub soda and it was delightful. We're not in West Seattle often but after rediscovering this gem I would like to come back more often. read more

This place took me back to my Spain trip. Great ambiance - perfect for a date night. Food served in small plates for sharing and pretty amazing. Each dish was unique and so flavorful. I loved everything we got maybe with the exception of the chocolate ice cream, just not used to the texture and not the typical chocolate flavor I would expect. But everything else was perfect. The eggplant wrapped dates were excellent too, it was fun to try them since the dates I normally see (and make) are wrapped in bacon. It was very dark inside so the pic of the dates didn't work out. Great bar, lots of choices. They get very crowded, we couldn't call ahead or anything so had to leave a name and wait. Solid tapas place in West Seattle! I went here for a relatively early dinner, around 4:45pm, and the restaurant was not too busy. Most of the tables are dedicated to parties of 2 only, so any party of 3 or more will have a slightly harder time getting a table - we were sat at a booth next to the bar that is apparently 21+ only. We shared 7 dishes - Tortilla Española, stuffed dates, squid steak, Spanish paella, beef tenderloin (tapa portion), Moroccan meatball, and lamb brochette. We also tried 2 cocktails - Mai Tai and Sangre de Itto (their signature dry sangria). The Tortilla Española is a potato omelette which was a nice starter - felt more potato texture than egg texture here. The stuffed dates were hearty - the dates are stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped with a thin slice of eggplant which has a proper texture that goes with the mushier dates. The squid steak is nicely presented with thin slices of squid. The Spanish paella is one of my favorites here - the rice is slightly crispy and super flavorful, topped with generous amounts of seafood. The beef tenderloin is another one of my favorites, as the beef is prepared medium rare, juicy, and tender. I liked the hint of truffle as well as the potatoes that come along with it. The tapa portion was sufficient as we wanted to try more variety of dishes. The Moroccan meatball is good, nothing out of the ordinary. The lamb brochette was delicious - nicely marinated and prepared slightly under medium and juicy and comes with an eggplant dip. The Mai Tai is strong. The sangre de itto was not sweet at all so the flavors brought forth are from an infusion of wine and their selection of fruits. I enjoyed the orange wedge but the dried apricot was very bitter from the infusion of the alcohol. Food was strong 5 stars. The reason I took off a star is because of service. Food was delivered promptly and water refills are consistent, but for a restaurant of this caliber and price point, I expected dishes to be cleared whenever they have the opportunity, when we are finished. Even if they are unsure, simply asking if we are done with the dishes and clearing them if so, will make the dining experience less overwhelming. Otherwise, this place is a solid restaurant to check out if you are in the West Seattle area - parking is street parking but ample as we are out of the city. read more

We arrived at 4:45pm and were seated next to the door, and the summer evening made it feel quite warm. Quality - 7/10 -- Okay food, very tapas vibe. Not particularly savory. In fact, I found myself craving my homemade steak+eggs neat the end. While the meat slices were well cut, presentation was good, and meat were juicy, the holistic taste experience did not match up. Perhaps it was the heat from being in the warmest part of the restaurant. Service - 7/10 -- Great, dishes delivered in a good order and good timing. Took a while to take order initially and check at the end. Only physical card, Visa and Mastercard accepted! Value - 5/10 -- $31+tax+tip/per for the food alone (we also ordered drinks). Final bill made this the priciest non-AYCE dinner I've had this year. Overall - 6/10 -- Overall experience felt uninspired, especially at this price point. Absolutely fabulous experience! We moved to Washington four months ago from California, and this was the best food I've had since being up here. Such a fun experience with the tapas plates, so many unique and delectable flavors and incredible spices. Very memorable experience and am already planning our next trip back. Next to Itto's Tapas is Itto's Vino wine bar with a more selective menu. Really like Moroccan food and this was overall good although somewhat hit or miss. The prawns were one of the best things we'd had in a long time, and made the meal. The octopus was too heavily laden with rosemary and oil, for our taste. The fusion take on harcha, similar to English muffins, was good. The peppers were forgettable as was the tortilla, though certainly not bad. I've wanted to try tapas for the li fest time. We, well, I arrived a little after 5 on a Friday evening. Good thing because it filled up quickly after that. But there were no crazy lines or anything. I differentiate when I arrived vs the rest of my party because they did not make me wait until everyone was there before seating me like some restaurants do. The service was fast and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I gave it it 4 stars (I would give it 4-1/2 if I could) because there's no padding on the seats and that's pretty uncomfortable for me these days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But I digress. The food was very good. We started with the spiced olives (absolutely necessary to go with your Spanish wine), croquettes and Moroccan meatballs. The meatballs were a little tough, but so tasty! Stuck with an hour long wait for another restaurant Friday night and called ahead to see if there was a chance for a spot at Itto's. The matron was super professional; told us that they took no reservations as their restaurant was quite small but the evening was quieting down so they should be able to get the three of us seated no problem once we arrived. We were hungry when we got there from Ballard; got seated right away. We started with the Potato Croquettes. They were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside, not too runny or cheesy but soft and so satisfying. We followed up with the Zaalook, an eggplant based spread served on baguettes. The eggplant was cool and refreshing and the baguettes were perfectly toasted; crispy but soft, moist, and warm on the inside. For mains we got the Squid Steak, Scallops, Beef Tenderloin, and Lamb Shank. I ordered a glass of cava to go with everything. Everything was delicious and succulent and perfectly seasoned/cooked, but most differently so DIFFERENT in flavor profile. With a lot of restaurants the first couple of courses would wow us but as the courses wore on the flavors just become repetitive. Not here; each course was delicious in there own unique way. The cava was also cool and refreshing and helped cut some of the richer plates. All in all ten out of ten; we're already planning our next trip to order the other half of the menu ;). read more
