My friends and I came here while staying at Warwick Hotel to start our night out with a cocktail before heading out for a night on the town. Place was pretty empty. They serve food as well. Our bartender was nice and really made our drinks strong, which we appreciated. He chatted us up and gave some recommendations for the area. We had drink tickets, so our drinks we luckily comped. It was an easy first stop. But check out the other bars in the neighborhood too.

Went to Margaux because it was connected to the hotel and we really didn't feel like walking anywhere. Customer service was great. Everyone was soooo friendly. The restaurants looks like an older dim restaurant for an older crown. The food was basic. The French onion soup was good , the bolenese was good but definitely lacked a lot of flavor. Again I think because they are used to only having older customers. We also paid $50 for a steak that ... looked like it was $25 Would I come back... no but if you are staying on the Warwick hotel ... does it do the job.. yes definitely

We ate breakfast every day during our 4 day trip. The food was very good tasting. The executive chef came out to meet us and get feedback on the food quality. Took constructive criticism very well, and very proactive to adjust the menu. We did dinner one night here and I thought the chowder was excellent, the salmon cooked excellent, and was visited by the executive chef again at our table. Would recommend everyone staying at the Warwick to eat here, they wouldn't regret it!!

Staying at the hotel saw that they had a happy hour, decided to grab a drink before our dinner reservation. We had wing appetizers and whipped feta and a few drinks. The bartender was friendly and the chef came out to ask us how we liked our appetizers. The ambiance was welcoming.

The fish and chips were surprisingly one of the best I've ever had, and the server, Demetria, was very patient and friendly! Overall a great experience

We were staying at the Warwick and I have to say don't waste your time. All we had was a glass of water after waiting 45 minutes we left. It's a little over priced according to the menu and the hotel staff agreed. There were people working and our server kept walking by our table but never took our order. We really would have liked to try some of their food. They have a happy hour 4-7 but we left very unhappy! As we walked out the lady at the desk just said sorry

Tbh idk how this place got this much hate cause our experience was more than solid. Our server Paolo took care of us well and were sat immediately despite being in the middle of dinner rush time. Food came out fast and the portions were huge. The berry portion of the club hit different and made it all worth it. Probably wouldn't have been able to finish the single dish by itself so glad I had the Mrs to half with. The carbonara was amazing as well and for most places we go to skimping out of the proteins the dish was stacked with chicken and mushrooms. For desert we had the raspberry chocolate lava cake and never has a cake like that been so fluffy and just melty as this. As a berry Man U really have to nail the flavor bending and this had it in spades. Definitely a return for me when I come back to town.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic, the service was friendly and attentive, and the bar offered a great selection of cocktails and spirits. The Dutch baby was the real winner: chewy, and puffy golden edges, blackberries, candied nuts, and a fruit drizzle. That was the most memorable thing on the table. The fish sandwich was fine but a little underwhelming. Crispy bacon and a generous salmon fillet, but the bun came out cold, which threw off the whole bite. At around $25, that detail matters. The most disappointing thing were the Fries, which were on the harder side. Tables are tight, so plan for elbow-to-elbow seating. Worth it for the Dutch baby. I'd order differently next time. Food was 3 stars, but 1 star for our server.

I ended up getting the Dry Aged Steak Frites from the Happy Hour menu and OMG!! The steak, cooked medium, was incredibly juicy and tender!! I was so sad when I got down to the last bite lol As for the Russet French Fries, they were perfectly seasoned and just the right size. I especially enjoyed dipping them into the Fermented Chili Aioli. To which I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't actually spicy, given that I do have a pretty low spice tolerance lol. I genuinely don't know what to do with that explanation. The food took so long. I ordered my steak medium rare and it arrived overcooked. I thought this was a steakhouse and yall can't even cook a steak medium rare? One person in our party never received their salad despite asking multiple times. Their stupid steak dish is $50 entree with zero sides. I added cauliflower for an extra $17 charge and received something I could have made in five minutes. Finally, we tried to order dessert and were told they were out of the item we all wanted. This place is a ripoff with terrible service.

UPDATE 2/22/26 I see that Vince U (Yelper right before us) deleted his comments about not receiving a rose and thought maybe it was Violet being possibly biased against gay couples. I understand why it was deleted but wanted to give context around my first paragraph above. We were very underwhelmed by the prix menu for Valentines dinner. I noticed Vince U did not take a picture of the lamb, which was about the size of a half-dollar coin, if anyone remembers what those are LOL. Yes the two bites of lamb was decent but nothing to write home about. Agreed, the Risotto was very delicious indeed, salmon was great, chocolate desert was very, very good, otherwise the rest was OK. But I wouldn't agree to understanding the assignment, for us. I had the wine flight and I love a good wine. These were all OK wines. I get it, you have to watch your costs and make a good profit, to which I totally agree. I wish we would have tried Violet our first time for the regular menu. I'm guessing we would have rated 4 or 5 stars more than likely. For a bill of $400+ (including a great tip because we love to support) we felt like we were almost ripped off. I get it, it's a special occasion and lots of work goes in to these things but walking out of there $400+ poorer really made us feel bad, from a value perspective. We never mind paying for value, but this was not it and did not hit the mark for us.

Dinner for two ended up costing nearly $350 -- meanwhile, last week in Toulouse I had a far better dinner for less than 100 euros. To make matters worse, you poured butter mixed with anchovies over our steak, completely destroying the natural flavor of the beef. The "au poivre" sauce on the side ($5 extra) was honestly terrible. And the steaks are charred and bitter. The final insult came when the manager walked over and very rudely told me I needed to put my feet properly inside my new $1000 Louis Vuitton sandals. When I said there was a nicer way to speak to customers, he replied, "I'm just being honest." Well, honesty without manners is simply rudeness.
