    Strawberry Matcha

Strawberry Matcha - 5/5 Strawberry puree stands out and is strong. In comparison to other matcha spots in Seattle, the strawberry puree overpowers the matcha, but it's still good! I really enjoyed the matcha.

This such a nice new cafe! I absolutely love the space inside with the high ceilings and minimalist decor. While the drinks are pricey, this is basically the average nowadays. They have both a downstairs and an upstairs which is really nice! I got the double matcha moment which was a matcha latte with a matcha cream top. Oat milk added an additional $0.75. The drink itself came out beautifully, and it was the perfect amount of matcha flavor and sweetness. The texture of the cream top was also spot on, as it wasn't too dense or too light. I'd be back to try the biscoff latte!

Fremont, the self proclaimed center of the universe, has quite the concentration of indie cafes. Ironically, Moment Coffee, the newest indie took over the former two story SBUX at the corner of N 34th & Fremont Ave. I happen to snag a 2 hour parking spot two blocks away and decided to check it out during their soft opening (4/30/26). Because this weekend, I didn't want to deal with Opening Day (sailing/boating season on Sat) & the Fremont Sunday Market, iykyk. However, if you're in the neighborhood as the first 30 customers, you'll receive a complementary financier. Moment Coffee has some outdoor seating, and ample indoor seating in their two story cafe. As I waited in line, I observed that they are well staffed, matcha properly whisked, and beverage orders made consistently. Not much left in the pastry & refrigerated cases since it was mid afternoon already. Sleek, modern, airy. Did not detect any music. Minimal decor because more windows than walls. I ordered an iced Einspanner to go. Not much available for seating, as the laptop crowd was out in force. Another viable choice in the ever evolving neighborhood.

I had already had a matcha earlier in the day, but as I was randomly roaming around Fremont, I came across Moment Coffee's soft opening. Perfect timing! The cafe is super spacious and has two stories full of seating not including outdoor tables. But it was so packed inside! The wait for my matcha latte and garlic thyme bun was a bit long, which I expected based on how busy it was. Definitely worth the wait though!! I think this was the best matcha I had while in Seattle. Super smooth, balanced matcha flavor and the drink itself wasn't too sweet. The warmed garlic thyme bun was delicious and buttery. I can't wait to come back when I visit Seattle again!

I went on their last day of soft opening on May 1 at around 2:50pm to an extremely crowded interior where pretty much every seat was filled - on both floors of this area. It's very minimal inside with upbeat yet chill music and completely fresh walls given they're in soft opening. Top floor has larger tables for larger (work) parties and a restroom that isn't locked by a code despite having a keypad on the doorknob, and main floor has more seats for 1-2 people. This is the Fremont area, so parking is rough. I've had better luck in general finding spots closer to the Fremont Troll, like when I came to Fremont for the likes of Kin Len and 19 Gold. Oh, those days when I drove and even walked a little farther to get some good food around there! Their soft opening menu is limited so they serve mostly coffee and matcha, along with a handful of pastries at the front that were almost out when I went since it is the afternoon already. Staff were pretty efficient in getting everyone's orders, and lines pretty much kept forming throughout my visit. They have a pretty good system with calling people's names when their orders are ready, and noise doesn't reverberate throughout the inside including the really noisy Fremont traffic during an odd 3pm rush hour, so that makes hearing names easier. Better yet for service, staff were also proactive in letting me and everyone who ordered drinks know to stir them well if needed. I was lucky to be able to snag a seat of my own so I could chill and enjoy my iced strawberry matcha with oat milk. The layer of matcha is huge and the oat milk layer was almost nonexistent when I got my drink, so I could taste the ceremonial matcha's floral, earthy notes... and a lot of it at that even after stirring the strawberry purée at the bottom of the drink. Not complaining though, I love my matcha and this was one of the strongest and most concentrated I've had in a while! I downed my drink quickly since it was really good, and saw ice filled about half my cup. Pretty decent first visit here, and the perfect place for a neighborhood that matcha hasn't really touched much of yet. Can't wait to see what they have for their grand opening!

1hr parking in front of pcc, cute interior, two floors. simple menu, some food, and baked goods--croissants, basque cheesecake in cases. they whisk the matcha but squeeze the matcha out of a bottle when making drinks. opt for glass cups in cafe or plastic to go cups. two drinks we got were in different size cups? double matcha moment - matcha cream top very sweet, matcha is nutty strawberry matcha - super sweet, overpowers matcha, real strawberry flavor with seeds

I tried the fall seasonal Medici mocha with an apple cinnamon pull apart and my husband tried the cortado and a latte. The quality is great and it's one of those places that doesn't make overly sweet drinks so if you like a mocha that is very coffee forward in flavor, this is a great option. They also have vegan friendly breakfast pastries and burritos so you can accommodate multiple people of varying diets. Baristas are friendly and make conversation while you wait, even when it's a little busy. It has a few tables and the typical noise of a cafe, so feel free to if into their WiFi if you want to work from somewhere other than home if that's your style. Overall great experience and I think the seasonal specials are worth a trip if you're looking for a little more fun!

And a shoutout to the server for toasting my scone. It came out warm, not dry, not too cheesy, just how I like it. Matcha latte w/ almond milk was alright, knowing this can't be compared to what I can get at tea cafes. I love how they make this place green w/ all sorts of indoor plants. Plants do light up the area and mood given that Seattle can be so gloomy around this time. Def coming back if I'm in the area again.

My friend got a black sesame latte and she enjoyed that. I also tried their croissant but that was just ok, I did appreciate that the warmed it up for me! They have a few other pastry options. It almost feels like they're in the middle of a move-out. Even the seating was reduced to tiny little stools. Our coffee was also incredibly disappointing. My partner and I both got hot Sesame latte's and when we got them the cups were only filled up maybe 3/4 of the way! Not to mention barely ANY sesame foam. And to add to all of that, the workers kept playing the same song repeatedly with horrible language and laughing about it every time it restarted. I don't mind if a cafe plays a few songs with the occasional bad word, but this was like a parody song of the "f-word." Not a great look guys.
