On our first morning in Seattle, my daughter and I found this little coffee shop nearby with excellent reviews, and it turned out to be a wonderful start to our day. My daughter ordered the June special, the Fruity Pebbles Cold Foam Cold Brew, while I chose the Brown Sugar Latte. The special drink was beautifully presented, and my daughter loved both its unique flavor and refreshing taste. My latte was made with Stamp Act Coffee, and I really enjoyed its clean, smooth, and naturally rich flavor. You can definitely tell they use high-quality beans. For breakfast, we paired our coffees with a croissant and the pumpkin nutty bread. Both were decent and convenient for a quick breakfast, though the coffee was definitely the highlight of our visit. Cute cafe tucked in a quaint Ballard neighborhood. I've been to their Bellevue location and have always loved their coffee concoctions. Service was quick, no line at all. And a shoutout to the server for toasting my scone. It came out warm, not dry, not too cheesy, just how I like it. Matcha latte w/ almond milk was alright, knowing this can't be compared to what I can get at tea cafes. I love how they make this place green w/ all sorts of indoor plants. Tried this place on a whim while running errands in Ballard. The sign outside is a little small so it might sneak up on you, but hopefully the street parking is open in front so you don't have to trek far for it. I tried the fall seasonal Medici mocha with an apple cinnamon pull apart and my husband tried the cortado and a latte. The quality is great and it's one of those places that doesn't make overly sweet drinks so if you like a mocha that is very coffee forward in flavor, this is a great option. They also have vegan friendly breakfast pastries and burritos so you can accommodate multiple people of varying diets. Baristas are friendly and make conversation while you wait, even when it's a little busy. It has a few tables and the typical noise of a cafe, so feel free to if into their WiFi if you want to work from somewhere other than home if that's your style. Overall great experience and I think the seasonal specials are worth a trip if you're looking for a little more fun! read more

I've been to Woodland Coffee twice now! They have more hours than other cafes in the area. I was happy that they opened early. This time around, I ordered a 16 oz matcha with oatmilk as well as a sesame/poppyseed pinwheel. I was surprised that both items cost ~$17 before tip. Both items were just fine in flavor. There is plenty of seating in Woodland Coffee, so it's a great spot to go to to meet with people. read more

Just a heads up this review might be a bit biased since I'm personally not a fan of Olympia Coffee or Vita Coffee. Unfortunately, this ended up being one of my worst coffee experiences. The wait time was brutal, and the coffee itself was meh I wish I had done a bit more research beforehand, as I would've seen that they serve Olympia. As for drinks, they have a pretty extensive menu including seasonal drinks including PSL, but also more creative drinks that I can't recall exactly but maybe a salted caramel and other fall-type drinks when I went in last in Nov. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte (half sweet) and it was perfect! I'll have to go back to try the other drinks! Wi-fi is free and there is also a nice outdoor (covered) space to sit on nicer days. I love exploring small coffee shops but this one just did not hit the mark. When we entered, the two college kids working at the front counter hardly greeted us, too busy in their own chitchat. I ordered a normal latte to judge their basics, and it was seriously lacking in flavor. It tasted extremely watered down. I didn't even substitute the milk like I normally would. The only thing that makes this 2 stars instead of 1 is the latte art. I wish I got a picture of it, but it was a bird/phoenix like art that was very intricate.
