    Pastry case

I only popped in for a quick bite and WOW check out this pastry case! So many delicious options it was honestly hard to choose, but I ended up going with the almond croissant and it did not disappoint. Flaky, buttery, and sweet. I'll be back!

Great vibe, good coffee and breakfast sandwich, and a fair amount of seating. I'm also a fan of a lot of windows and garage doors that allow you to see outside the shop. Only knock on the place is that it's on the pricier end of coffee shops. Worth checking out for sure if you're in the Ballard area.

What an excellent place!!!! The lady who was working was the sweetest:) their chai is to die for !!!!! If you love a good sweet chai this place is for you. Also the almond croissant! Wow!!! I've never tried one before but this hit the spot. The filling was delectable, and not too sweet. The ambiance is quaint, and warm. I felt super comforted by this place, and believe many others can too!

I just have to come right out and say, holy hell, this coffee was bangin'. Like, worth-drinking-every-day-of-our-vacation-bangin'. If you know me, or you at least see my photos in your feed, you know that I go out to eat and drink. Like, a lot. For me, it's like filling a never-ending void up with as many new experiences as possible. So obviously, with only so many hours in a day and only so many calories to be consumed, my thought process is to limit the amount of times you find yourself in a situation you've already been in before, good or bad. If not always a place you've never been, then at least an item you've never tried. Enter Venture. In planning this trip, despite Venture being literally like two blocks away from where we were staying, it somehow flew under my radar. We had just picked up our bagels nearby and my partner asked if we could get coffee from somewhere else, and I did a quick Yelp search to see if there was a coffee shop in walking distance. When I saw Venture, I was like, huh, guess there is, guess we could go here?? When we stepped inside, I was enthused to see their menu options being as weirdo yummy as they are: rosemary infused syrup? Peach latte? Cardamom rolls and spanakopitas? Uh, hell yeah. We ordered, took a seat on their very comfy couch, and literally within seconds our drinks were already done. We decided to drink them there because the ambiance was so cozy, even with all the windows and doors open and the draft blowing in. And after we tried the first sips of our coffees, my partner and I gazed into each other's eyes, brimming with love. Not love for each other--no--but love for our drinks. We returned on the other two days of our trip, and have reminisced about "probably the best coffee in Ballard" many times since.

I liked the unique options they had but I loved how flexible they were in letting me customize my drink even more! I can't have coffee so I was able to get the elderflower one in a matcha with oat milk instead. I appreciated the baristas friendliness and willingness to do that. The other thing I loved is that they're dog friendly. We sat outside enjoying the sun and the vibes here were so lovely that I will definitely be back. Great spot for peaceful reading or working or just soaking up some nice weather with your pup.

Loved this cute cafe/coffee shop in Ballard! We went on a Sunday during farmers market time and it was busy, but we were still able to get a spot quickly. Coffee, pastries, and sandwich were all fantastic!

Not sure why it has taken me this long to check out this charming cafe in Ballard but I am very sad I didn't figure it out sooner. I love their scandi themed baked goods, drinks, and general atmosphere. I tried the københavn latte which was sweeter than I usually like a flavored latte but the cardamom flavor was perfectly strong I would get it again. I'll be back very soon to do a fika as their sweet baked goods looked incredible. I found out this is the same baked goods as freya and what is served at Hagen which totally jives with the scandi vibes from the other two cafes. Can't wait to be back and try out all their pastries and seasonal drinks!

A great neighborhood coffee shop! Love that they have a bunch of specialty and seasonal drinks vs. just a vanilla latte, for example. I enjoy the rosemary brown sugar latte (half sweet) and a number of their seasonal drinks! They also have a pretty big selection of pastries (have tried a few and have enjoyed!). The space itself is smaller and seats do fill up pretty quickly. My only minor complaint is that the staff could be a bit friendlier (they're not rude, but in my experience they don't go out of their way to smile or greet customers -- usually I'm the one saying hi first and asking how they are doing). Also, the space does get crowded and a little hectic at peak times when trying to wait for your drink (and it's basically blocking the walkway, etc.). Overall a great place and glad they are in the neighborhood.

    Iced Mocha
    Rose S.

This is the best coffee I've had in Ballard so far! If you love smooth coffee, this is the place to go. However, I've found the mocha to be slightly inconsistent--some days it's not as strong or chocolatey as others. One small issue is the lack of a good spot to stand while waiting for your coffee. I always feel like I'm too close to the people sitting down. That said, I've never had to wait long for my drink. I haven't tried the food yet, but they have quite a few options. Unfortunately, the seating area is a bit too loud and busy for my liking.

I always seek out coffee shops wherever I go and Venture did not disappoint. Located within the Ballard neighborhood is a cozy shop , a great place to relax or work while enjoying a coffee. I tried a Brown Sugar and Rosemary Latte. It was excellent! The brown sugar added just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee was smooth and not bitter. I highly recommend.

They were out of chocolate chip cookies when we arrived, but the barista said they had a new batch in the oven if I could wait 30 minutes. I waited, and boy was it worth the wait. The cookie was warm and gooey, while still crispy on the edges. There are pools of dark chocolate and flakes of sea salt, and undertones of anise, making it a delectable cookie. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be back to try some drinks!
