I don't come to Washington often but the times I have visited I make sure to visit Seattle. One of my must stop spots in Seattle is meowtropolitan which is a cat cafe with some friendly and adorable cats which you can spend time with and they also serve up some good drinks like their matcha which I enjoyed with their cat shaped shortbread cookies. Was $19 for a hour session and most of the cats were happy to have the company, there was only 1 shy cat thankfully so the rest were eager to say hi. Staff was nice and allowed me to use the lobby to work on my laptop as well since I was on a road trip and needed a spot to work remotely so this was truly the perfect spot. Highly recommend a visit and highly recommend adopting a cat :)

cats are super friendly! just keep in mind the time of day, as if you go around noon the cats are sleeping. could get pretty crowded, so make sure you make your reservations. drinks are super yummy (some are a little sweet though) and a good price as well!

A fun place, a place to interact with the cats. I didn't think that's would be the case. I think cat cafe and think sit and let them chill with me. There are seats and table if the cats come to you, but the point of this to enjoy their company and play with them. They have lots of toys and very active cats. They also have ones that were sleeping if you wanted to chill with them. There is staff in there to help excite them and help you with their personalities so you know how to interact. It was fun. I would go again.

Great cafe to spend the afternoon with kitties. We arrived for the 3pm session. Enjoyed delicious coffee and Italian sodas. PURRFECT way to spend a rainy afternoon.

We had such a great time and the food is also good which was nice. I got a hot chocolate and macrons. Very cute and delicious. We were served by two desperate young people who were absolutely professional and kind. The cats of course were fabulous to be around and play with.

Love the catnip tea! Such a great experience! The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and caring. I had been years ago when they first opened, so when I went recently it was great to see all the upgrades they made. The cats seem to be well cared for, which is evident through the design. There was a great info wall with photos and names of all the cats. All the tables had cat body language signs at every table. Also they had one with a bright collar on to indicate she didn't like pets as much as playing. While I was there I found out they take volunteers and I'm tempted to apply.

First time at a café and was blown away. Friend who teaches yoga classes at the cafe brought me in -- who knew there was such thing as yoga with cats; beats hot yoga anytime! -- and introduced me to the bar for humans. We secured tea -- their offerings includes a specialty tea with actual cat nip, espresso drinks, iced coffee, hot chocolate, sparkling drinks, including some alcoholic beverages -- before going in. Their retail game is strong: crystals carved into cats, earrings, tea pots, headbands, tea towels, everything a cat-loving guest would want to peruse while waiting for their appointment. Beverage of choice in hand I walked in and was struck by the wondrous number of playful cats roaming in very spacious surrounds. They have high ceilings with lots of shelves for them to climb and move, and literal cat walks/bridges across the ceilings if they prefer to travel in the sky, rather than on along the floor. They were even some cages that permitted cats to be in their own protected area if they were not ready to be out with others. Excellent sensitivity calibrating to the needs of the cats, which is echoed in the limited hours humans can visit each day. Usually noon to five, though longer on weekends. There were about 20 cats -- roaming around curious about the humans in their space. Some were playing, pouncing and chasing bell balls and climbing seemed to be the preferred. There were several cats that were more introverted or taking their naps and looked perfectly content in fabric caves and furry rugs. I've returned for two more visits since and during my last visit one of the cats named Rosemary came to climb up into my lap and decided to sleep there. She's the one that is curled up and looks like she has white socks on. They have an adoption program; very cool bc the cafe seems an ideal place to get to know a cat before deciding if they want to be adopted. I appreciated learning that most of the cats are rescue cats who are helped to acclimate and enjoy human company before being adopted. The cat café is open from noon to five most days, and on the weekends longer. Extended visits membership is only $100 for a year. I don't know how long that special will last but decided to sign up. It was clear there many of the visitors were regulars visiting because they knew the names of apparently every single cat. I aspire to that. Also appreciated how friendly, and knowledgeable the staff and volunteers were, maintaining the space, often dusting hair and vacuuming when they are not busy helpfully interpreting behaviors of particular cats and reminding us of their names.

My daughter had a day off from school, so I took the day off as well to have a mom kid date. She absolutely loves cats and I thought I would be fun to take her to her very first cat cafe. This place was about 40 minutes from us, but the drive wasn't too bad. The worst part was finding parking because the streets are narrow and there was a ton of construction going on. Thankfully, we found a spot and ran just in time to make it to our reservation time slot. They did say to get there 5 to 10 minutes early, but they didn't mention it when I arrived so they appeared to be pretty flexible about it. They also didn't seem to be extremely busy, with maybe 20 people in the cat room and maybe four people inside the cafe. The cafe portion is quaint and cute, full of cat tchotchkes, cat macaroons, and other cat themed goodies. They did also serve beer, which I appreciated. After paying for our $16 tickets, we were guided into the cat room and given very specific and clear instructions to not pursue cats that clearly had no interest in us. They had toys that we could use to play with the cats too, but all the cats were fast asleep pretty much the whole time. That is, except for one, but of course all the kids flocked to that cat. So there was literally a line of kids waiting to play with one cat. This isn't the first cafe I've been to, and I have noticed that sleeping cats are a prevailing theme. Are they just very rigorously exercised before every session? Do they just use a lot of catnip? It's interesting, but it made for nice and calm petting session. It was pretty fun towards the end when they brought out dishes of food for all the cats. This is the only time we saw all the cats moving out of their beds and jumping down to the floor to eat. They do bring the drink that you order inside to the cat room so you don't have to wait. Except that everybody's drinks had been delivered and I had to ask for mine for them to make it and bring it out. I can't recall what seasonal flavor I ordered because the latte unfortunately was not very memorable. I do remember it being warm and comforting. Not too sweet and well balanced. All in all it was a nice experience and we will likely be back once or twice a year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and just being around the kitties as we missed our five babies at home. The kitties were super relaxed and lazy, doing what kitties do best! Hubbs had the salted caramel and I had the pbutter milk. Both delicious. They have plenty of feline merch and you're bound to leave with something from their shop. Hubbs nearly ended up taking them all home. Thank goodness they're not all available to adopt!

Cute cat cafe with lots of cat merch- I had to restrain myself from buying more than 1 thing. Got a BOGO deal from their instagram so that made it more affordable! The cats were sleepy but still calming to pet and play with. Our favorite cat was Mateo, the Bewildered Baron. The drinks were also cat themed! Staff were super friendly!

I always have the best time at Meowtropolitan! The space is so large compared to other cat cafes that I've been to. It doesn't feel overcrowded and cramped. You can tell how much the staff cares about the cats. The space is very well kept and the cats seemed so comfortable. The food and drink is a huge bonus to the experience. The vanilla latte I had went so well with the cute cat themed pastries that they offer. They also serve beer and wine!

They are located in the Bravern across from HeyTea (don't forget to bring your parking ticket for validation at the cafe)! The cakes are beautifully displayed like artwork, but much smaller than I expected. Each cake is only 7" (for reference, a standard cake is 8" or 10") and the height of one layer. For $70 a cake (or $10 per slice), these cakes are priced like they're made from gold. My friend and I got a FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE ($9.99) and a SIGNATURE CAKE SET ($13.99) which includes one slice of cake plus latte of your choice; we got the MATCHA STRAWBERRY CAKE plus a ROSE LATTE. Note that the matcha strawberry and double chocolate fromage cakes are only available as whole cakes or sets and not slices (minus one star just for that). The FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE was rich, light, and tasted like fresh whipped cream (as the name suggests). It came with some dabs of strawberry syrup on the side, which my friend and I thought was definitely needed as the cake itself was relatively bland. At least it wasn't too sweet (I'd probably rate it as 25% sweetness). The MATCHA STRAWBERRY SLICE was better as it had very strong matcha concentration with a hint of strawberry. It also came with strawberry syrup, but unlike the Fromage, it wasn't necessary. With that said, this cake slice was half the size of the Fromage slice, measuring maybe 2x3 inches maximum or the length of half a finger. It was ridiculously small (like petit four size) for $13.99, even if it came with a latte. The ROSE LATTE was alright. You could taste the rose syrup and the coffee and milk were smooth, but nothing to write home about. The interior is meant to look like a fancy designer store with modern furnishings and lighting (which to be fair, it is located in the Bravern among the designer shops). They have about 8 tables indoors (honestly pretty tight together) or you can take your dessert to go. Service was decent and a waiter brought our food to the table within 10 minutes. TLDR: cake are overpriced for the small portions and their signature cake isn't that tasty. Maybe I'll come back and try the Mont Blanc with Hokkaido soft serve, but $13.99 for half a cup of ice cream is stretching it. Overall: 2.5/5 for food, 3.5/5 for service, 3.5/5 for interior
