It's a cute lil coffee shop and seems to have a lot of loyal customers that the barista remembered their name and their orders. We thought the interaction was a bit weird because the barista didn't know the drink I ordered when I first asked even though what I ordered was the menu and asked me to read the ingredients to him off the menu and when I asked for a breakfast sand-which he confirmed with me 3 times that I said bacon. The hot chocolate was a bit too sweet and a lit artificial tasting to me but the sandwhich was actually pretty good. read more

Don't mind if I keep the high rating up for Copper Tree! I got the London Fog with oat milk and it was very yummy. They have about 4 different variants of a London fog! I hope to try them all very soon. They don't over sweeten their drinks, which is always a good sign. My partner got a spinach breakfast burrito and loved it! I'm always drove past this indie cafe on 10th Ave E headed elsewhere. Two Yelp Elite friends Maria and Elizabeth vetted it, which was duly noted as a bookmark. Finally, I pulled over and checked out Copper Tree Cafe on 1/16/21. Again, you know the pandemic routine - mask up and queue up in the socially distanced line. When it was my turn, the barista (perhaps the owner?) was very upbeat, friendly, and welcoming. Someone worthy of a longer conversation, but I noticed the people lined up behind me. I received a well crafted mocha and a pain au chocolat. Copper Tree Cafe partners with another indie bake shop for assorted baked goods. I also started a stamp/punch card. This is a lovely gem located in North Capitol Hill. Sometimes slowing down and pulling over is a worthy endeavor. read more

Tiny coffee house serving excellent coffee at reasonable prices. My tasty 16-ounce soy latte (they also have oat milk, vegans and dairy-allergic folks) cost $5.50 which is a great value for Seattle. There's usually a long line out the door here but when I went on a Thursday morning there were only two other parties and I was able to sit inside at a table. They use powdered cocoa to make mochas and they come out great. Friendly attentive service in my experience. Very few seats in the house.

I ordered n iced ameriano with milk, and it was superb. The server was very kind! Cozy atmosphere as well. Would return in a heartbeat!

The coffee and the food were great-- we tried a bunch of different pastries and they were all delicious! The empanadas are really good too. The people working there are so nice and friendly. We were visiting family nearby but we went most mornings because the whole experience was so delightful, and we look forward to returning. read more

Copper Tree cafe is a small North Capitol Hill neighborhood cafe tucked on the most north side of 10th Ave along a group of other local shops in the area. It's a small space with just 8-9 seating max bit the people in the cafe are sure friendly and try to make engaging conversation with you. I actually stopped by to get my watches fixed at a shop right opposite of this cafe, so this place serves as a convenient spot for me to come chill and wait while the watch shop gets my watches fixed. I got an Italian soda and a pound cake and the prices and the taste were reasonable. Wouldn't mind stopping by this place again if I'm in the area, especially given a friendly service. read more

We visited this location on Mother's Day as we had a two hour wait across the street for brunch so we decided to walk over there and warm up with some coffee. We were greeted a friendly matter . We placed the first two copy orders. The gentleman gave us various milk options. We are the first two copies with oat milk when he gave us our first two coffee he announce they were with regular milk within told him it was supposed to be with oat milk. That's when his whole demeanor changed he tossed the copies and started making the new ones in a very aggressive way slamming around the equipment we instantly started to feel very uncomfortable. His coworker seemed like she was trying to ease the mood, but he was even being rude to her and very sarcastic. We immediately felt uncomfortable for her and ourselves at that point, my sister wanted to leave immediately. She didn't wanna order her coffee. I explain we were already there without asking any questions about our order because at that point we were scared to even ask him anything. Our plan was to sit there and enjoy the coffee, possibly a pastry as we waited for our brunch. We decided to just cross the street back to where we were having brunch and just stand out there we have never experienced such a aggressive or horrible service. We were never rude at all. We were having an amazing day as we were visiting from out of town and enjoying the start of our Mother's Day we honestly did not finish our coffees. We just tossed them. read more

I stopped here for the first time last week and there was a long line of people from UW. When we finally got up to the counter to order, the owner thanked us for our patience as he had an unexpected rush. I ordered a tea latte and he helped me pick which one to order. He only charged me $2 for a tea rather than charging me full price for a latte and again thanked us for our patience. The latte was great and we had a positive experience in this adorable cafe. The cafe certainly has a charming personality to it and it's in a great location. Good customer service is hard to find these days, but Copper Tree can't be beat. This little neighborhood jewel was a welcome sight on a dreary day. I like their walk-up window, which is great for pandemic safety. The barista was friendly and cheerful which made the gloomy day bearable. They have amazing coffee (the honey lavender latte is delicious), and reasonably-sized burritos that you don't have to name and diaper. Parking was easy on an early Thursday morning and I liked the general vibe of the neighborhood. I found Copper Tree Cafe by aimlessly wandering north down Broadway and then not stopping once I hit Roy (it's actually on 10th). Copper Tree gives me old fashioned Seattle-back-in-the-day vibes, and indeed, I was strolling down memory lane along Broadway prior to finding it. Don't be fooled by the Seattle Freeze. I was planning on going to Starbucks but this place seemed cute. Parking: Street. Pretty good. I walk in and it's a very small place but it's cute, quaint and intimate. Loved it. After a few minutes I was helped (if you're a group of more then five there is only one barista so please be patient and kind!) and the barista was so sweet. I got three drinks. 1. Iced White chocolate mocha triple shot 2. Iced americano with vanilla and creamer 3. 8 oz cold brew All three drinks were delicious. The cold brew a bit strong but still yummy. Overall great service and it's a perfect pit stop while one your way to a good sunny Seattle summer day! The only con was that my 8oz Cold brew was out in a paper cup with no lid and to had to drive so I spilt it on me. Would have preferred maybe just 8oz in a 12 oz cup! But we live and learn! The guy who works as a barista at Copper Tree is a real rock star: he gave me a good discount on my drink just because he ran out of breakfast croissants. They also make their own pastries which taste amazing, I really loved the one with a huge chunk of peach on top for only $3.75 or so. They do have cold brew but Caffe Vita though didn't come up in my search. I love this little cafe. Tiny and peaceful with some local art on the walls. Other espresso drinks I've had here were good and served fast and politely. Limited selection of pastries but there's at least a few good choices. Good tea selection too. read more

This is a hole-in-the-wall-sized coffee place in the northern outskirts of Capitol Hill on the border to Portage Bay. I have only been here once, but the place is cozy and nice, and my espresso macchiato was good. The wifey approved of her caffe latte. The beans come from Vashon Coffee Company. The dog's name is Hobart. I'm giving the place the benefit of the doubt and four stars. It's so close to home that I'm sure we'll be back to calibrate the rating. read more

I stopped by Copper Tree Cafe while I was waiting for the bus (bus stop right outside the entrance) and was so surprised by the warm atmosphere! The little coffee shop with a few tables was completely packed with both people and a couple friendly pups :) Great customer service! I ordered a green tea to go which the barista made from loose leaf tea. Excellent coffee and tea selections! There were probably 10-15 different varieties of loose leaf tea. A great place to meet people, work, or wait for the bus. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area! read more
