I stopped at this place a month ago and this is a cute litte coffee shop with all things sustainable and environment friendly. I really like their coffee and the owner was very considerate in helping me understand different coffee flavours.

First visit...thanks to Maria and Elizabeth, I finally detoured on 10th Ave E! (1/16/21)

I'm always drove past this indie cafe on 10th Ave E headed elsewhere. Two Yelp Elite friends Maria and Elizabeth vetted it, which was duly noted as a bookmark. Finally, I pulled over and checked out Copper Tree Cafe on 1/16/21. Again, you know the pandemic routine - mask up and queue up in the socially distanced line. When it was my turn, the barista (perhaps the owner?) was very upbeat, friendly, and welcoming. Someone worthy of a longer conversation, but I noticed the people lined up behind me. I received a well crafted mocha and a pain au chocolat. Copper Tree Cafe partners with another indie bake shop for assorted baked goods. I also started a stamp/punch card. This is a lovely gem located in North Capitol Hill. Sometimes slowing down and pulling over is a worthy endeavor.

Total seating: Three small tables, three counter seats, a few outdoor tables on busy 10th Av E. There's a bathroom out of photo at left.

Tiny coffee house serving excellent coffee at reasonable prices. My tasty 16-ounce soy latte (they also have oat milk, vegans and dairy-allergic folks) cost $5.50 which is a great value for Seattle. There's usually a long line out the door here but when I went on a Thursday morning there were only two other parties and I was able to sit inside at a table. Nice vibe with music and live plants.

Raspberry Italian soda and a (thick) slice of pound cake! ($7)

Copper Tree cafe is a small North Capitol Hill neighborhood cafe tucked on the most north side of 10th Ave along a group of other local shops in the area. It's a small space with just 8-9 seating max bit the people in the cafe are sure friendly and try to make engaging conversation with you. I actually stopped by to get my watches fixed at a shop right opposite of this cafe, so this place serves as a convenient spot for me to come chill and wait while the watch shop gets my watches fixed. I got an Italian soda and a pound cake and the prices and the taste were reasonable. Wouldn't mind stopping by this place again if I'm in the area, especially given a friendly service.

Honey lavender iced latte with oat milk and a chorizo breakfast burrito.

The coffee and chai were absolutely amazing. I've never had chai so well made. The barista was awesome, he gave my partner and I a discount when he found out we were touring apartments nearby as a "welcome to the neighborhood". He knew everyone's name and the atmosphere was so home-like. 10/10 would recommend coming here, if not for the drinks, then to feel like you're talking to an old friend.

A bright light on a dreary day--from the coffee to the barista.

This little neighborhood jewel was a welcome sight on a dreary day. I like their walk-up window, which is great for pandemic safety. The barista was friendly and cheerful which made the gloomy day bearable. They have amazing coffee (the honey lavender latte is delicious), and reasonably-sized burritos that you don't have to name and diaper. Parking was easy on an early Thursday morning and I liked the general vibe of the neighborhood. I found Copper Tree Cafe by aimlessly wandering north down Broadway and then not stopping once I hit Roy (it's actually on 10th). Copper Tree gives me old fashioned Seattle-back-in-the-day vibes, and indeed, I was strolling down memory lane along Broadway prior to finding it. Don't be fooled by the Seattle Freeze. This is Northwest Nice at it's finest!

I didn't catch the barista's name, but he was wonderful! Very kind and helpful when answering questions. The snickerdoodle latte was tasty!

They use powdered cocoa to make mochas and they come out great. Friendly attentive service in my experience. Very few seats in the house.

Best coffee blend hands down and their croissants are out of this world. They are so flakey.

But honestly? The energy worked. The staff was moving with that calm, unbothered flow only seasoned baristas have. Friendly, attentive, and somehow keeping the line moving without making anyone feel rushed. Respect. Light was flooding every corner; that soft Seattle glow that makes you want to pull out your journal and pretend you live inside a cozy indie film. Ventilation was perfect. Temperature was perfect. Seating options? Abundant. And not the awkward wobbly kind either. This spot is built for lingering. I grabbed a latte, sat down, and immediately fell into an art journaling trance. There's something about being surrounded by curated shelves of books and cute little treasures that just unlocks your brain. It's the kind of place where you look up after ten minutes and somehow an hour passed. This was my first visit, but it's already on my list of "places I'll actually come back to and get work done." A rare category, honestly. If you're looking for a café that feels like a creative reset button; this is a great one.

I looked up their yelp page as well as their Instagram and knew I had to come just to get one of their lattes with their amazing foam art! They have a variety of waffles and sandwiches on the menu that seemed appetizing however because I got here after 3:30 the kitchen was closed but they have a variety of pre-made burritos and sandwiches that you could still buy. I love that they have a huge variety of non-dairy milks including soy which is my favorite. I wanted to get the turmeric latte however I mentioned that I couldn't wait to see the foam art and the Baristas told me that due to the light color of the latte, it would be difficult to see the foam art so I instead ordered the red velvet latte with soy and it was as delicious as it was cute! I also got the egg and sausage cheese burrito and it was chock full of eggs and sausage... very filling. The decor and seating options are plentiful upstairs and downstairs. They also have free pineapple infused water for guests to drink which I appreciate. Seems like a popular spot for UW students to do work as there are lots of outlets for their laptops.

I was surprised that the cake was so cheap around $4 but after the first bite, it tasted like it was from a Safeway bakery, which made me feel a bit scammed. The latte was a very light roast, so the coffee flavor was barely noticeable and it felt more like drinking hot milk. On the positive side, the servers were sweet and friendly. It took about 5-7 minutes to get our drinks, and the place was packed around 1:30 pm on a Saturday.
