Brewed coffee

Visited with a friend for a coffee. This place a top notch team that is focused on service and making good coffee. Customer after customer came in and was greeted with familiarity and kindness. They remembered so many customers it was lovely to see a sense of community there. Inside is cozy and comfortable. The coffee was well made and delicious.

Dani was the most kind and friendly barista! Came here for the first time looking for an Italian soda, but even though they were missing some ingredients, the drink turned out delicious! Great breakfast sandwich specials and quite cozy space in the morning.

This was a lovely little community spot. There was a very warm and friendly vibe here. The staff seemed to know a lot of patrons by name and it was a dog friendly spot with both inside and outside seating options. The drinks and food were good too. Very cute cafe!

Interesting spot! I've driven by this place a hundred times and never knew it was here. Coffee was good, and they have lots of pastries and baked goods as well as other kinds of food as well. Ambiance was clean and fairly basic. I loved the retro dining chairs, brought me back to my childhood! The barista was very pleasant and he ran everything as smooth as silk. Good experience.

What a special little place so full of character and charm! Coffee was much needed and just the perfect temperature for instant sipping. You can taste the love from the breakfast sandwiches! Thank you thank you! Sending Birthday love to you! Love from Shorty & gang

Went here twice and would return next time I'm in town! Street parking was relatively easy to find but I believe some areas had 2 hour parking limit. Fun to see photos and art throughout the space! Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was mostly friendly and knowledgeable of the offerings. I got the "blendy" which I thought would have a smooth texture but it's more like crushed ice, milk and coffee. The ice chunks were mostly too big and chunky to fit through the straw until they melted which watered down the drink. The vegan chocolate berry muffin was sooooo good! Loved that it wasn't overly sweet. I didn't noticed if the taste was "vegan." I'm not vegan but it was super delicious and I would definitely get it again. Appreciated that there were wall plugs and WiFi to do computer work! One bathroom and it was clean.

So glad I finally tried Monkey Grind. Decadent espresso, wonderful service and vibe in the cafe. I got an extra-ice Oat Honey latte (my go to order anywhere) as well as a bacon/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich. Coffee was perfect, just enough sweetness and the espresso was obviously high quality. 10/10. The breakfast sandwich was delicious too. :)

Very cute spot! We stopped in for some chai and London fog tea and both were very yummy. Friendly staff and different grab and go items for lunch. Street parking available and decent prices.

This place was adorable! From the people to the location to the service to the drinks to the price- it was an all-around win for me! My sister and I are new to Seattle and just signed a place in Greenlake, so we were looking for a spot that wasn't too far from where we were living. We found this place on a quick search and headed over for a day of productivity. This spot was located right across from a senior center, and though there were a decent amount of young folks walking in, we noticed a handful of what seemed like elderly regulars coming into the café. The barista was super kind and talkative with her customers, and seemed to have people's regular orders! We got an almond milk hot chocolate and an oat milk chai latte, both of which were delicious and great big sizes for the price! Also of note is that this place is dog friendly and even has a jar of dog treats at the entrance for people to give their dogs! We got to pet so many puppers while we were working all day. The ambience is warm and friendly with yellow accents and cute art in the bathroom, and the barista made sure to stop us on the way out to ask our names, hear about our recent move here, and make us feel super comfortable! For the ambiance, the taste, the environment, and the friendly staff, we will absolutely be back!

If you are looking for a good local coffee spot Monkey Grind is the spot to go. Visiting on a trip here and I am pleasantly surprised with how good the drinks and food are. It was walking distance from our place in Greenwood and the service was lovely. I got a a vanilla oat milk latte and it was very tasty with a nice layer of foam, my boyfriend was recommended the Mexican mocha which had cayenne pepper and had a remarkable kick to it that he enjoyed! The egg & bacon Swiss croissant was really yummy and tasted very light. Perfect delight in a bite! Definitely will be here the next time we are visiting in town! :)

They have a couple outside tables with chairs, so we opted to sit outside. The staff was kind and efficient and the service was quick! Especially appreciated since I had my dog with me. To eat, I got the spicy bacon breakfast sandwich. It definitely has a kick! I would recommend it warmed; they get the bread extra toasty which made the sandwich even better! To drink, I got the seasonal Slice of Heaven iced. It's a vanilla latte with lavender and lemon, with the prominent flavors being the vanilla and lavender. It's creamy and not too sweet, a perfect coffee drink to start the day. Good menu with rotating seasonals. Pastries & snacks sold. CONS: Shockingly overpriced for what it is! Makes no sense. They've turned a $3.50 drink into a $10 extravaganza. Nothing you get in this store is unique, all of the add ons are very common all over Seattle. You'll get cheaper & proper Viet coffee in International District. Everything tastes like a milkshake. If you want a thick fancy shake with overpriced toppings go for it. Servers are not always friendly. Pastries look tired and stale. I'm sure they are good I haven't eaten one from the looks of it. Bad parking - you have to pay some random person to park now for what used to be a nice community pedestrian area with free parking. If you're local and can walk down, no problem. If you're driving, look for street parking behind the shop. Overall I bring tourists and out of town folks for a milkshake experience. If I'm pressed for time I go for a drink here and then curse myself every time for doing so. I never get caffeinated no matter what I order and it's always $10 gone. I expected this store to have some parking options for their customers but they don't even do that.

Sometimes I come here while my car is across the street in the shop…read more I have always thought that their food items were HELLU overpriced. Their breakfast sandwich is literally $13 for a $5 sandwich. Today I had a simple drip coffee. This was $5.77 Then, you notice a jar for tips, and it has a sign that says, "You have already tipped, but jar is for more tips if you want to" So, yeah.... This means already damn expensive items having tipping built on top of the pricing, and the biggest issue is that you are tipping without your own choice, AND it is done before you have even received ANY service. Wait a minute.. there actually IS NO SERVICE. You order at counter. You operate the card reader yourself. The woman behind counter lifts a coffee pot, and pours it into your cup. That is literally all she does. Then you... go to the other counter to add your own cream. Nobody has come to my table to ask me if I want anything else, or how is everything, etc. Don't correct to clear your own table, because they have it set up for you to do that to. I forgot to mention the creamer was spoiled, so the coffee was not drinkable.

It's a decent amount of biscuit with large chunks of ham and there plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the morning that isn't hustle and bustling like in downtown. I walked further to the metro bus stop down the street and was tempted to check the local dispensary on the next block but ran out of time. Will come back with friends, plenty of coffee dates and conversation were happening within but this solo adventure was just as enjoyable.
