Good pastries in an upscale cafe. The flavors are very unique and all the desserts tasked good. Only some of the pastries are available by slice, we tried the trio which had matcha strawberry, chocolate and another strawberry pastry in it. All 3 tasted good and not super sweet at all. Coffee was good as well.
LeTAO feels a bit overpriced for the overall quality of its food and drinks. Their Mango Hokkaido Milk Tea is definitely delicious, but it's extremely sweet. I can never finish the whole drink because after a few sips, it becomes a bit too sugary for my taste. The desserts were a mixed experience. I really liked the Jersey Milk Roll, although it felt quite expensive for its size. I also tried the Trio Cake, out of the three flavors, the strawberry was my favorite, while the matcha and chocolate were just okay. The seating area was another disappointment. The seat cushions looked dirty with marks on it, which doesn't match the premium prices they're charging. If I'm paying that much, I'd expect a cleaner, better-maintained space and a more elevated café experience overall. Overall, I'd say LeTAO is worth trying once, especially for its signature milk tea and desserts, but it's not a place I'd find myself returning to often.
Le TAO has been on my bucket list for a while as it's gained popularity from social media. They use fresh Hokkaido milk and cream and are known for their Asian cake and soft serve. They are located in the Bravern across from HeyTea (don't forget to bring your parking ticket for validation at the cafe)! The cakes are beautifully displayed like artwork, but much smaller than I expected. Each cake is only 7" (for reference, a standard cake is 8" or 10") and the height of one layer. For $70 a cake (or $10 per slice), these cakes are priced like they're made from gold. My friend and I got a FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE ($9.99) and a SIGNATURE CAKE SET ($13.99) which includes one slice of cake plus latte of your choice; we got the MATCHA STRAWBERRY CAKE plus a ROSE LATTE. Note that the matcha strawberry and double chocolate fromage cakes are only available as whole cakes or sets and not slices (minus one star just for that). The FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE was rich, light, and tasted like fresh whipped cream (as the name suggests). It came with some dabs of strawberry syrup on the side, which my friend and I thought was definitely needed as the cake itself was relatively bland. At least it wasn't too sweet (I'd probably rate it as 25% sweetness). The MATCHA STRAWBERRY SLICE was better as it had very strong matcha concentration with a hint of strawberry. It also came with strawberry syrup, but unlike the Fromage, it wasn't necessary. With that said, this cake slice was half the size of the Fromage slice, measuring maybe 2x3 inches maximum or the length of half a finger. It was ridiculously small (like petit four size) for $13.99, even if it came with a latte. The ROSE LATTE was alright. You could taste the rose syrup and the coffee and milk were smooth, but nothing to write home about. The interior is meant to look like a fancy designer store with modern furnishings and lighting (which to be fair, it is located in the Bravern among the designer shops). They have about 8 tables indoors (honestly pretty tight together) or you can take your dessert to go. Service was decent and a waiter brought our food to the table within 10 minutes. TLDR: cake are overpriced for the small portions and their signature cake isn't that tasty. Maybe I'll come back and try the Mont Blanc with Hokkaido soft serve, but $13.99 for half a cup of ice cream is stretching it. Overall: 2.5/5 for food, 3.5/5 for service, 3.5/5 for interior
The mont blanc soft serve is really good. Though it doesn't fully capture the Hokkaido milk flavor, it's probably the best option here. They also sell chocolate, cookies and cake here which you can also pair with your ice cream or eat by themselves. I do like the chocolate. The store layout is kind of strange though and doesn't seem cohesive. There's a bar corner with not a lot of space to walk through, and the other tables and chairs are on an elevated platform. In general, there's usually more patrons than seating but luckily, there's a small amount of seating in the outdoor courtyard.
Super cute spot for desserts hidden in the bravern. The only downside is that you can only buy slices in shop otherwise you must buy a whole cake. The customer service is stellar and their cakes and snacks are so tasty and well flavored. They come straight from Japan and cakes are frozen so require some planning/ thawing prior to eating, Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area or on a date (or just to treat yourself)
I really like the atmosphere of this spot but maybe I'm just not a big cake person because the sampler wasn't my favorite. It was chocolate, strawberry shortcake, and strawberry matcha.
Okay, I am not going to say anything about the pastries here except you have to come see for yourself! I bought one of everything on the menu and I came o the determination, they are all great! Parking is valet, but you can also find structure and street parking nearby. The service is by younger servers who know what they are selling and treat you like family. Come check this place out! I promise, you will not be disappointed!
This store is impeccably clean and well maintained, which creates a great first impression when you walk in. I tried the Mango Hokkaido milk ice cream along with the fromage cheesecake, and both were definitely tasty. The flavors are authentic and the texture of the cheesecake is as smooth as expected. However, the overall experience felt subpar for a few reasons. The pricing is quite high, and while the food is good, it does not feel like the quality fully justifies the cost. Additionally, the staff members were a bit rude and did not provide a welcoming atmosphere. While the treats are enjoyable, the combination of high prices and lackluster service makes it hard to give a higher rating.
Huge fan of basically anything Japanese. Their philosophy of things is unparalleled, in life, in car making, electronics making, food making, anything. Much of that process, philosophy comes from China - Confucius, Buddhism and they improved up on it incorporating not only into mindset, but technology - "Kaizen." Their Fromage Double, bestseller cake is delicious. Not sweet, airy, decadent. Not cheap neither, haha. Worth it, yes, when you wanna treat yourself for sure. Latte was mid, tasted almost more like an Americano, but really appreciated the beautiful glass it came in. Parking validation is included. Can't wait for another Fromageeeee :)
Another family member's plans to visit LeTAO was cancelled. I happen to be in Bellevue and decided to make this my third stop before heading back across the lake (3/20/26). Got to make use of that round trip 520 toll! My gps brought me to the valet circle at The Bravern. I took my chances, parked off to the side, and threw my blinkers on. I headed into the sleek dessert boutique to seek out a slice of the Fromage Double. I had to patiently wait for two other customers to be served. This gave me an opportunity to look around. I realized that the unshielded dessert displays were not real, but replicates to consider. I wished there were some samples available. If there were, I clearly missed out. Finally, it was my turn to place my order. The counter staff person only would sell me a whole cake (totally out of my budget). I only wanted a slice, plus I was having visions of my car being ticketed and/or towed. She continued on that for a single slice this would have to be served and consumed in the dining area. At this point, I told her that this was my first visit and drove all the way from Shoreline on behalf of a family member, thanked her for her time, said no thanks and was ready to leave. At this point, she acquiesced to allow the one slice. She went into the back kitchen area with a box. I declined a bag, paid, and raced back to my car with my prized purchase. Pro tips: I recommend to first open their website and look at their detailed menus to learn what items are available ahead of time. I posted screenshots from their website. Understand that these desserts are flown in from Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan. It is their preference to serve them under optimal conditions and presentation, hence the suggestion to dine onsite versus takeout. Unless you specifically want valet parking, do not leave your car there. Unnecessary stress plus expensive if one was ticketed and towed. Cheaper than airfare to/from Hokkaido, but still. Stupid move. Use the public parking at The Bravern, LeTAO is located on the first floor. I also posted a screenshot from The Bravern website about parking. Well this was very interesting, I wanted to try the cheesecake with my youngest who absolutely loves Japanese style cheesecakes and these guys know what they're doing. BUT They had no cheesecakes, no you don't understand they had nothing the only thing they had was their mini cheesecakes which you could only get with the sundae or the flight (and that was entirely their fruit flavored ones) Guys I was shook, they fly their cheesecakes in so we had gotten there 2 days before the next shipment. Now look I'm not docking points because a) The guys there were trying so hard to keep people happy in an impossible position. b) On their menu (online) it said a lot of things were sold out, I had just assumed that they meant their whole cakes, not that their café was no longer functioning lol, my bad So now you know. They are still amazing BUT check that menu before going
I visited LeTAO after going to the Dolar Shop nearby. I liked the presentation of the cakes - my friends and I ordered a slice each and enjoyed the treats at the store. The cheesecake looked small but turns out it was just enough. I'm not an obsessive fan of cheesecake so I didn't love it, but it made a nice dessert and a nice place for us to hang out. Service was attentive and the server explained how the ordering worked to us in a kind manner.
I stopped by on a Sunday evening to try their cakes. I ordered their trio seasonal cake set, which consisted of the Yuki Matcha Ichigo, Berry Rose, and Sylvie. The seating area was pretty full, so I initially sat on the stools near the back entrance. The stools were wobbly and not sturdy at all. I immediately moved to a chair and table once one opened up, which was much more comfortable. It took almost 15 minutes after ordering to receive the slices. They were presented nicely, but the taste wasn't very memorable.
two words: fromage sundae!! One of my favorite places to get a cheese ice cream sundae. The Hokkaido milk is SO good too -- if the fromage is a bit too much, getting the mix is a great balance of both. The ordering experience is super easy and straight forward. LeTAO is a Japanese dessert shop founded in Otaru, a city in the northern island of Hokkaido. This location, on the first floor of the Bravern, brings their famous cheesecakes to Bellevue. All of their cheesecakes are frozen and shipped in from Japan, using Hokkaido dairy products, and the prices reflect the shipping costs from importing the cakes this distance. The cafe is bright and inviting, and there are several tables and seating available for dining in, where you can enjoy a single slice of cake, or Hokkaido milk soft serve, or enjoy a cake set with a tea or latte. You can also order whole cakes to enjoy at home. I had the seasonal blueberry cheesecake, the Floraison de Myrtilles, which was a delicious double layered cheesecake, topped with blueberry jam and pistachios. Overall, had a great experience at LeTAO. Would recommend stopping by for a special occasion. read more
One of the best things about this place is that the staff are happy to let you sample the incredible cheesecake desserts. ($50 for a 6-inch cake). We tried the peach Earl Gray, as well as the double fromage. The space was clean and spacious and bright. A nice place to walk in for a break. Service by staff was excellent. read more

Worth checking out and the cakes are amazing, but be aware that this place is $$$. We got the trio cake sampler ($35), and were shocked by how small each cake slice was. (~4 in diameter?) Our favorite was the mango cake read more
It was our first time here. Inside was clean and all of the desserts were nicely displayed which made it easy to browse and choose what to try. We ordered the trio cake selection the desserts were pretty and well presented, but not memorable in flavor lolll. After reading other reviews, we learned that the cakes are imported from Otaru Japan, which helps explain the pricing. We'd still love to come back and try more items from the menu! read more
This is a cute place to come for a bday. They give you a little happy bday sign and have a trio selection for cake. The lady at the counter was confusing though so service wasn't the greatest. we tried some cake samples and I asked if I could have a slice and she said no.i thought it was odd you Could only purchase the $50+ dollar cakes but then she corrected herself later when I saw the menu and asked he about the trio cake selection and she said oh that's done in. If I hadn't mentioned anything I would've assumed letao doesn't serve slices and wouldve left. The cake slices were good: peach, blue berry and mango. Peach earl gray was the best then mango second. Small but refreshing and light. And so cute with the happy bday sign. Would come again on a friends bday. read more
A modern simple upscale cafe. Hokkaido inspired desserts and drinks that were all delicious. Tries the soft serve sundae with half milk and half fromage with a slice of fromage and the otaku rue iron fromage cookie for the sides. Lychee & rose sparkling water is so refreshing. Service was great, very helpful at explaining what things were and samples were given which was nice. Definitely coming back to explore more from there menu. read more
I love visiting cafés in Bellevue, and this is a great spot if you're looking to enjoy a sip of matcha, coffee, or other drinks alongside slices of cake. The cheesecake was delicious, not too sweet and not too bland. The staff were welcoming, and I loved that you can request service directly through your phone instead of walking back to the counter. The ambiance is clean and inviting, with seating for up to four people per table. read more

Although I think the cake is not as good as the price, but the overall experience is always great. If you eat dine in, they provide good service and fancy food serving style. I just don't like the idea of the take home cake is frozen. Free parking. read more
With a location at the Bravern, the prices aren't surprising to me but I probably won't be a frequent customer here. The 2 of us got the seasonal trio of cakes, which were light and just the right amount of sweetness; Mont Blanc ice cream, which was so creamy but still delicate; and each of the hot tea options. Our total was $45 but we stayed for about 3 hours and were able to get parking reimbursement. Our server was lovely and helped guide us through the menu, and everything came out quickly. I'd drop by for a cake on a special occasion. They also have cute gift sets. read more
Was realllly good but definitely expensive was ~$7-8 for this. The fromage was like cheesecake which was evident in the ice cream and overall I did really enjoy it! Service was very kind and the atmosphere feels luxurious and clean. read more

I have been wanting to come here for the mont blanc soft serve alone, and I finally was able to try it. I went with the Hokkaido milk flavor and it was delicious. The taste of the chestnut topping reminded me of sweet potato and although I feel that $13 was a bit steep for a soft serve, I would probably get it again. I also tried a sample of their fromage double cake and the flavor was very light and not too sweet. The cafe itself is very spacious and has seating for you to dine in. It was nice that they also validate parking. read more
LeTao is a Japanese cakes shop that is very popular overseas, and it's great to finally see one open in the Seattle area. And they certainly opened in style with a minimalist, stark white space at the Bravern. The cakes are beautifully displayed and work of art. OK, they are small (6 in diameter) and pricey, especially compared to prices in Asia. But the cakes are delicious and they are packaged well to go. Appreciated the samples while waiting in line to help decide and ended up getting their fromage double, which is their best seller and was not disappointed. My daughter loved her tea drink too. So while the cakes may be a bit pricier, they are worth the splurge and the shop is worth a visit to dine it or takeout. read more
Really enjoyed everything we had here! Next time maybe we will get one of the cakes. This time we just stopped in for a small dessert with the mont blanc and a small tart with boba. The servers were very friendly and helpful. They gave a good recommendation for the Mont blanc. The ambiance feels very high class in a way being near all the high end shops and with the decor, but there's not really much seating inside. Maybe 8 tables total? I'd come back for the ice cream again and to try their cakes! read more

It's expensive but worth it in my opinion. The original cheesecake was my favorite, I liked that they were so nice and let us try samples of everything before we bought the desserts. The lady behind the counter was very helpful. There's not too much space to sit but still decent seating and the place is very clean and aesthetic. read more

I shared the Mont Blanc soft serve with a friend and it was very tasty - the chestnut pet on top was extremely dense and very strongly flavored, which was great. The soft serve (I got milk-flavor) was very smooth and creamy, which went well with the chestnut. The workers were very helpful and let us sample the cake and both types of soft serve, which was useful for deciding which item to get. The sample cake was really tasty too! Two negatives - the price is quite high (except maybe for the milk tea, which seemed surprisingly cheap, though I didn't order it so maybe it's small?) They need more chairs / tables. With how sparse the seating is (despite the space) it feels less like a cafe and more like an airport-type drop-in store, where they don't expect you to stay and eat. read more
I got the Mont Blanc soft serve to go They were fast so my hubby waited at the turnaround while I went in and ordered. They asked me if I needed parking validation and I said no. The dessert is delicious. Chestnutty with creamy soft serve. Docked a star for the price. Total was around $14 for a small cup, which I guess for the area is okay but still lol. read more
So expensive but so cute and so good. My bf got us this cake because he felt like it. Apparently he got to try it in store and thought the yuki akari was standout. It's a small delicate cheesecake with an orange sauce, whole entire mandarins, all wrapped in a soft delicate mochi layer. The whole thing really is just beautiful and even though it came frozen (supposed to defrost in the fridge a bit before eating) it didn't have the crystallized freezer burn taste at all. Even the mandarin retained a soft sweetness. Speaking of, idk where they got these mandarins but they were the most vibrant shade of orange and just perfectly sweet. Really delicious dessert! The sundae seemed like a good option to be able to try a few things. The swirl soft serve was not too sweet but had such a milky delicious flavor. I also really liked the cake but the salty cookie was the highlight. The texture was crunchy and so yummy. definitely would come back for a box of those. I think a cake or box of cookies from here would be an amazing gift. Excellent service - they offered me two samples before I bought anything. All the servers were lovely, you can order at the table or the counter and they'll bring your items to you. You can also get samples as soon as you walk in the door lol awesome set of people
Can I order a cake in advance or just walk in and buy a full cake?
Is reservation needed. We are planning to come on December 26 around noon?
No. It's walk in cafe style (not a reservation type of place).
