Greatest location - in the hearth of Pike Place. This place just scream "Fresh Fish Market "..... Vibe is cool - everyone eating and enjoying... -Clam Chowder- wOooW, delicious..Complex flavorful clams in every bite. -Fresh oysters- a must. Every half-shell was fresh and delicious PRO TIP: order food and sit at the food stall next door, get a few Mexican Beers. It's a must w/ da oysters......yummy -verdict: place is a must check out when visiting Pikes Market. Will definitely be back for more oysters and beer.....

Seemingly touristy spot but what isn't in Pike Place? Nothing special about the food but service here is friendly and efficient. Popped by right when they opened so no lines. Ordered fish & chips and the smoked salmon cocktail. The fish and chips were decent. The smoked salmon was a little dry but perhaps fine with the salad and dressing - more like a smoked fish jerky. With that said, I was in and out in no time decently satisfied. Nothing like a fish breakfast to start your day at Pike Place.

I visited jacks fish spot earlier in the day and they still had some seating available. This seems like a cheap, easy, no nonsense type of place. I got the 1/2 dozen oysters and they were alright. Briny, hit the spot, and only $14.. Staff were friendly but I probably wouldn't go back for oysters. One of them had a bit of shell in them, and they weren't that memorable.

Stopped here for lunch because their waiting area was packed with people. We ordered the fish and chips and a cup of their chowder. The chowder was a little disappointing. Hardly any clams were found. It did come out really hot tho which was nice for a cold day. Their fish for the fish and chips was really good. The breading was perfectly crisp and fresh flavor. Pretty small sitting area but if you can squeeze in, it works!

Found this gem inside the market! Limited seating available but vibes were immaculate. We ordered fried oysters and clam chowder and it was just what we needed on a cold day. Had to dock off a star for the fried oysters because they were very undercooked but think it was just a one off. As we were eating, we saw a lot of people order their salmon plates and steamed dishes and I'd definitely be back to try other menu! Great place located in the market and shorter lines than pike place chowder! Prices are also very fair

Best fish and chips in Seattle. I like going here in the off season on cold days...it's covered but in the open market so you're kind of exposed to the weather. The seating is pretty dive-y...stickers all over the sticky stainless steel chest high bar. Only have seating for maybe 10 if you're all cozy. But...market ambiance, and quality of product make this an all around Seattle experience. This is a regular spot.

Thick chowder and great fried fish. Fries could be crispier. But a totally no frills solid spot to get a quick bite

While shopping around pike place, I had stumbled across jacks fish spot. I was intrigued by the fresh fish and smoked fish at first. Then the signs of fresh steamed Dungeness crab drew me in to try. I had ordered 1 steamed crab and decided to pair it with garlic fries. The wait was only about 10-15 minutes but we got lucky there was a super short line. The line started to grow tremendously once my sister and I got seated. The crab and butter were so delightful and delicate. The meat was so tender, slightly sweet and had the perfect firm bite. The fries were on the salty side but the garlic was so good. Luckily we were able to get over the saltiness by just wiping/ tapping the excess salt off.

This spot has small menu but good quality seas food! I was there before a couple years back and was excited to come back this time around. I really enjoy their oysters and creamy clam chowder. Everything comes out super fast and looks great overall! They have some counter space to have your meal at, but it's crammed and gets crowded fast. Especially annoying when a group of people hold the space while eating food brought from a different food stall (a bombastic side-eye if you do this)

Well in Pikes Place, what can you do but eat! I stop by here for the steamed clams, fried oysters, and clam chowder. They had a decent line, but were able to knock it out. The staff are cool and chill. I been here a few times, things are becoming a little weathered. I get it, it's the ambiance, but having unwrapped forks in a container that looks it has rust. Cmon, at least change it out. But anywho, the food came out fresh and delicious. The clam chowder had decent chunks of clams in it. The fried oysters were nice and thick. Then the steamed clams were great, it had chunky clams too. Overall, I been coming back, it has what I need. Yummy and consistent food!

A thick creamy and flavorful clam chowder. The smoked salmon cocktail was served cold on a bed of lettuce and smoked just right. The fried halibut, delicious!

In Pikes Fish Market....this place is a good option for lunch. You see that shrimp cocktail...sure...they're dinky little shrimp. But it was cheap cheap cheap....the shrimp were a great taste. Then the cocktail sauce: the best I've ever had! Chowders are decent...not best ever by any means. The place was busy as all get out...but they get the food out to you quick enough.

Foodie road trip through Seattle and lucky to cross the pike place market off the bucket list. After taking a lap to narrow down my spots, I started with here for the crispy fish and chips. Really enjoyed the fish and the texture of the batter. Fries were fine. Good value for the area. Enjoyed how it reminded me of the strip district and oyster house ambiance back in Pittsburgh.

And that poor dead fish that keeps getting tossed--it must be mush by the end of the day! We didn't go to the gum wall this time. Saw it the last time we were here and I didn't need to see it again. On this day it was super busy! I think mostly because of the cruise ship in port. So, if you are okay with the crowds, give yourself some time to walk and explore all that there is to offer here. Note that the traffic all along Alaskan Way was a log jam! We took the Hop On-Hop Off bus and didn't have to deal with traffic and parking.

What immediately caught our attention (for obvious reasons) was the bold sign: LIVE KING CRAB. We walked in and were instantly impressed. Large water tanks filled with live Dungeness crab and live king crab, crystal-clear water, and absolutely no fishy smell--always an excellent sign. The space feels more like a clean, well-run warehouse set up for both wholesale and retail, not a typical seafood market. A gentleman working there quickly came over and started chatting with us about crab. Super knowledgeable and friendly. They offer a wide selection: live, fresh, and frozen crab, Japanese scallops, fish, and a variety of shellfish. We considered the live king crab, but it was honestly too big for the two of us to handle in a hotel kitchen--and definitely would've been a splurge. So, plan B: I called my sister-in-law to see if she'd like some frozen king crab legs. She said yes immediately. The gentleman showed us the frozen options, and the king crab legs were long, meaty, and impressive--similar in size to what Costco carries, but priced better. We ended up negotiating a great deal and purchased a box of their Party Pack King Jumbo Crab Legs for her. Later that evening, she surprised her daughter with a king crab birthday dinner, and they reported the legs were super meaty and absolutely delicious. Safe to say, we'll definitely keep Seattle Seafood Center in mind for future seafood splurges. If you love high-quality seafood and especially crab, this place is worth a stop--even if it's an unplanned one.
