You're definitely paying for the location when you come here. We ordered 2 beers, 2 chowders, and 2 fish tacos. They actually forgot our drink orders until we asked about them. The server said they bar misplaced the orders. Did I mention, the place was pretty empty. The chowders were pretty good, loaded with chunks of crab and flavorful. The highlight of the visit. The fish tacos, not so much. Both the taco shell and the fish were dry. I'd expect a bit more for $11. The decor was nice & the views were beautiful. 2025-31

Food is okay. Food took awhile and service was a bit slow but they did check in with us. Just an overall okay experience:

Dungeness crab for happy hour only $15. Best deal around for 7 days a week. 10/10

We sat at the hightop tables in the bar area. Happy hour available here. I think the bartender was Aubrey? Her first day working and she greeted up was a happy face and was awesome. My daughter has gluten issues and she had questions that she said she would look into. Next thing we know the Chef came over and explained the things she could make gluten free. That is awesome service!!! She went with the lingcod that was absolutely awesome. Thank you to the bartender and Chef! You guys were great!

Lingcod in Tempura batter, slaw and fries

Great service! My 3-piece lingcod entree $29 was perfectly cooked. It was served with a generous portion of French fries, which were crispy and hot, just like the fish. The slaw was a bit too sweet for my liking but the ingredients were fresh and crunchy. The Caesar salad and bowl of chowder were pitch perfect too. If there is one complaint it is the very limited dessert options. Only 3 choices but no chocolate, no caramel... only 3 rhubarb desserts: sorbet, cheesecake, slump w vanilla ice cream. That's a big miss by the executive chef IMHO. I eat out often, several times a week, and I'll put this place in heavy rotation.

Anthony's pier self service cafe very good for quick bite or drink. We took 2 taco 1 x mahi mahi and 1 x salmon taco. Salmon was very yummy but mahi mahi was a bit dry. It needs some salsa or sauce. We got only ketchup for fries. Unfortunately with virus there is no more salt or pepper on the tables anymore and there is nowhere individual small salt packets. Everything you have to ask for. Even straws or utensils. It's a bit annoying. I wish they just kept individual plastic utensils. Margaritas were mediocre but it's only $6 so I don't expect anything fancy. Vanilla ice cream was very good with very good taste and texture. ------ Overall had a nice quick bite with nice fancy view. Place could be much cleaner and staff could be more friendly.

Classic seafood spot. Next to the ocean view. The service was great and food were very fresh. We ordered Cod fish & chips, clam chowder and steamed cheesy clams. Good portion of the course.

Half Dungeness Crab

I tried to find some fresh seafood on the waterfront and other places in Seattle. I saw some good options but the restaurant was closed or busy due to Mother's day. I had a 1/2 chilled Dungeness crab which was good and reasonably priced. The staff and bartender seemed like sometimes they were overworked and short-staffed but they tried hard.

It was my first night in Seattle, and it happen to be my birthday, so I wanted to go somewhere that was a local favorite. The service at Anthony's was great, and timely. I had just missed happy hour, but the drinks weren't badly priced, and they were mixed perfectly in terms of alcohol volume. The food was a little bland, especially because I'm coming from the south, but it was nothing some hot sauce couldn't fix. The portion however was small, & not worth the $22 price.

Anthony's Bell Street Diner is located by the water and is not too far away from Pike's Place Market. If you crave the exercise, you can walk from the Market to here. But if you had a toddler and a senior citizen with you like we did, driving would save you a lot of time and... other stuff. There is no parking lot or structure on Alaskan Way, the vehicle thoroughfare on which Anthony's Bell Street Diner is located. The closest one we found was on Elliot Street and we had to use the pedestrian bridge to reach the water side of Alaskan Way. There is no other crosswalk nearby. Ordered the mixed fresh oysters and was glad that it came with a picture "oyster guide". The Fisherman's Basket had a selection of battered and fried seafood as well as fries that tasted really good. The Salmon dish was seasoned well and was cooked perfectly. Kids Menu is available. We had a great view form our window seats and we relished the time to sit comfortably and have a large, clean and well-stocked restroom during our wanderings.

Came in on a Friday night and learned that Old Stove Brewing gets busy for a reason! All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

They gave us these post cards to write down our individual drinks. FYI - this place requires using your smart phone to scan a QR code for the menu. We ordered 2 apps (salmon dip with pita chips & chips and cheese dip) I ordered fish and chips. Buddy got the meat loaf. Our beer showed up quick. Waiter always checked on us often. Our apps showed up and they were both delicious. Then 5 minutes later our main dish orders showed up. Wasn't too happy with that because we wasted time to taste our beers and snack on the apps. They need to work on their timing. Need at least 10 minutes in between the beer and apps. The food overall is admittedly top notch. Fish and chips FRESH! The fish was juicy and the fried crust was perfection. Pieces were large. They will ask if you want 3 or 4. 3 is enough. If they can work on timing the drinks and food this place would be a 5 out 5, but will deduct a star because of that. The overall vibe of the place was nice. Huge layout with wooden picnic style tables. Outdoor tables if you're lucky to get one. Large tanks to brew beer surrounding the room and a merch table.

My daughter accidentally became a seafood lover here We…read morestopped here while visiting Seattle, and honestly... this place had our whole family in a chokehold lol. My 10-year-old daughter is usually very suspicious of fish. Like, if it even smells "too ocean-y," she's out. But somehow this place turned her into a seafood enthusiast for the afternoon because she absolutely demolished her cod fish and chips. Not a crumb left behind. We were all staring at her in disbelief I ordered the 16oz clam chowder, which was rich, creamy, and hit the spot perfectly because Seattle weather basically demands chowder. My husband got the salmon fish and chips and let me just say... the salmon absolutely showed up the cod. No offense to the cod, it tried its best lol. Also, can we talk about the fries for a second? I don't know what kind of magical potato situation they have going on back there, but my husband and I could not stop eating them. Crispy, salty, addictive little things. Overall, the food was amazing, we left full and happy, and my daughter discovering she actually likes fish might've been the biggest surprise of the trip. Would definitely come back!

I even realized I could order before hand so we were able to pick up our order as soon as we got there. This location is on the fourth floor of an otherwise pretty dead mall. It's located next to Din Tai Fung and has seating but there was barely anyone there. They did a great job bagging everything to go including a well wrapped sourdough bread bowl. The clam chowder is definitely some of the best. The bread bowl is okay. I didn't really care for the market chowder which was a smoked salmon chowder. The chowders come with a piece of bread and a bag of oyster crackers.

Wow, this review is 8 years old! I want to share my experience with Some Random Bar…read more In 2017, my mom and I visited Seattle for me to look at apartments and interview for jobs. We came here to eat because it was near our hotel. I was OBSESSED with the crab nachos. 2 months later, I moved out here all on my own. Now, 8 years later, I live nearby. Whenever someone is visiting, we come here. Whenever I run into a stranger visiting, i say they have to come here. My friends know if i'm celebrating anything, "are you getting crab nachos?!" It's become a part of my personality at this point. I have so much respect for the owners, the way they run their business and their honesty online. No one I've brought here has had a bad thing to say regardless of what they ordered. My go to is: Pull apart bread, crab nachos (with their hot sauce!! which, btw can i buy that by the bottle.. cause YUM) + whatever drink is calling my name (they rotate, but if you can get the pina colada you won't regret it). tldr; you'll regret NOT coming here.

Some Random Bar is a very popular bar and restaurant in Belltown. I read they have good food, so we…read moregave them a try. We arrived at 4:45pm on a Saturday, figuring we can avoid crowds. I underestimated the attractiveness of Happy Hour where many drinks are $1 to $3 off. The place was full and became even fuller (and louder) by the end of our meal. This bar is hopping with many regulars, alcohol-filled, with multiple screens televising sports. When we went in October, the food menu says the food is discounted 25% off during certain late hours. The current online menu doesn't say that anymore. Not sure if that deal is still available. Our server was easygoing. Note they charge 3% for credit card use. The Food: SRB Burger, $22 - 3 Stars Menu: Painted Hills beef, burrata mozzarella, basil aioli, arugula, pickled onions, hand cut fries Per the menu description, this burger sounded great. Unfortunately for hubby, this burger has the exact pet peeve that he dislikes the most - where the patty is small and tall (he calls it ball shape) compared to the bun. The patty diameter is significantly smaller than the bun. He literally hates that. I had to tilt the camera much lower to see the patty inside. On the plus side, the fries are great. Grilled Shrimp Club, $24 - 3.5 Stars Menu: bacon, lettuce, tomato, house made guacamole, roasted chipotle aioli, hand cut fries This club sandwich is very good except for the one thing that the menu didn't specify - the bun. They use ciabatta bread, which I find doughy, thick, and overwhelms a sandwich. That is my pet peeve for a sandwich. Neither of us is betting well on this night. They are probably more of a 3.5 Stars overall. We find their prices to be high, especially since they additionally charge a credit card fee. When we went, the cost was $21, $23 respectively. The prices are now $22 and $24 per online menu. I would not return for food only. I would return for a bar vibe.
