What an awful experience. Service was abysmal - getting our drinks took over 20 minutes. Our waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Food was overpriced and bland. Table cloth was dirty, the windowsill we were by covered in dust and bugs. If you're looking for a nice meal and experience - run far from Cutters.

I wanted this restaurant to be better than it was. Unfortunately, it was rushed, the fish was over complicated, and the drink was too sweet and not very strong. I tried the clam chowder, and it was dryer than others I've had on this trip. It tasted okay, but just wasn't hot enough or filled with enough clams. I asked about what fish was freshest tonight and my bartender told me the Chilean sea bass. The entree I got was over complicated. The fish was decent, flaky, buttery, full of flavor. The additional items with it were too much. It was placed on a shrimp cake, not sure why that was selected, it was way too much. It also had a combination of sauces that were confusing and didn't complement the fish. The cucumber ribbon and mushrooms were just strange. I think some steamed vegetables or potato or rice would have done better to pair with the fish. The drink was at least served correctly with one single ice sure. But it was way too sweet. The entire service was strange - I know I was there towards closing, but was told the bar was still open for drinks and food. So I took a seat there. But the continued conversation with the bartenders about how they were now going to have to stay later due to the additional orders coming in and how they still had a lot to stock and clean. Then my bartender disappeared after he gave me the check and I had to wait until the other bartender finally checked me out. So as I said - it's a great location - I was hoping for much better quality food and service and I left disappointed. 3 stars would be the highest I could rate based on my personal experience.

Love the hot towels at the end of the meal.

Cutter's Crabhouse is a great spot for fresh seafood right next to Pike Place Market, with amazing views of Elliott Bay. We had an 8:45 p.m. reservation and were seated pretty close to on time, although we didn't get one of the coveted window tables. The views are still beautiful throughout the restaurant. We came here to redeem Landry's points, and that process was a little frustrating. We ended up about $12 short of using the full reward, and our server didn't really help us find a way to use the remaining balance, which was disappointing. The service was the biggest downside. The restaurant seems very understaffed. Our waiter was friendly, but he was clearly overwhelmed and we waited a long time to place our order, to get our food, and to pay our check. The freshly brewed iced tea was delicious, but the glasses are tiny, so I was constantly needing another one (and our server wasn't great about giving refills). The food, however, was excellent. The menu has a great Pacific Northwest focus with fresh seafood, steaks, and options for vegetarians and vegans. We shared the hot crab dip appetizer ($20) and loved it, but wish it came with more crostini for dipping! I had the wood grilled King salmon with crab cake special with vegetable couscous ($55), and it was really good and fresh! The crab cake was a total afterthough. It was burned, oily, and borderline inedible. My husband ordered the Dungeness crab legs and poke (both listed as appetizers), and they made a perfect light meal. He said both were outstanding and incredibly fresh. I also love that Cutter's has an open kitchen. You can see everything being made to order, and there were clearly plenty of people working in the kitchen (it just seemed like they needed more servers on the floor). The only other downside is the atmosphere. The restaurant feels dated, with older booths and a dining room that feels more focused on fitting in tourists than creating an upscale experience. For the prices, I expected a little more polish. There's no dress code, at least not one that's enforced, so jeans and a T-shirt are totally fine. They also have a great cocktail menu if you want to grab a drink. Overall, Cutter's isn't a tourist trap like many places around Pike Place. The food quality is genuinely higher than average, and I'd come back for the seafood alone. Hopefully they can improve the staffing and refresh the dining room because this place has a lot of potential.

We made a reservation and we were lucky enough to get a table overlooking the water. Jess was a fantastic server! Very friendly and accommodating. The food was good. The Manila clams were my favorite part of the meal. My daughter said the creme brulee is a 5 out of 5...which might be why I only got a couple of bites lol

Food was really great, Salmon awesome and Halibut amazing. The wedge salad was delicious, service and view beyond words.

Great food and drinks. Great service, friendly people and knowledgeable of the menu I really like this place because it is consistently great food and great place.

The new light rail service from the Eastside opens up a whole bunch of dining opportunities that were too inconvenient prior. Cutters is back in the playlist, and I returned for the first time in years, you can't recreate that view on the Eastside. First up, a heads up. It's a corporate restaurant, the waiter's are all schooled in the art of upselling. Just relax and let them do their routine, they are required to so don't get upset. We came in during Seattle Restaurant Week and they did a great job with their 3 course dinner. One chowder, one salad, one seafood pasta, one salmon, all of it excellently seasoned and prepared. And oh did I mention the view??

The location is perfect, and the views beautiful! We went on a Sunday in early Spring, and it was very busy, so consider making a reservation during peak times. The server was good, not amazing but solid, no complaints. The food was also pretty solid, benchmark for local seafood. We ordered from a special menu where we got to experience a little of a lot of items. I'd go back whenever in town.

This place was great! We wanted a waterfront seafood restaurant for our last night and this place did not disappoint. We booked a reservation, you need a reservation anywhere you go in Seattle. A great location and choice for dinner!

I really enjoyed my dinner at Cutters Crabhouse! My dad and I ordered a lot of meals to share because we wanted a taste of iconic Seattle dishes, and everything was great. I have to give a special mention to the clam chowder, chipotle shrimp, and the sea bass - they were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The resturant itself is in the iconic Pike Market and is on the waterfront, so created a truly stunning, calming and authentic dining experience. Our server was so friendly and helpful. This was a great first meal to introduce us to delicious Seattle food!

Walked over from a nearby hotel for an early dinner during their great happy hour. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and inviting. We grabbed two spots at the bar and ordered a few drinks and multiple appetizers to share from their happy hour menu. I really enjoyed the spicy margarita and the ahi tuna tacos. I was intrigued by the thin cut French fries with old bay seasoning and enjoyed them. I'm a sucker for thin/crispy fries and love old bay seasoning. The edamame was average at best. Luke warm with some salt shaken on them. This was the only dish that we didn't love. We would definitely come back again.

    Is there a kids menu?

I didn't see one. IMO, it's not a place for kids.

What is the dress code like?

Was there for a weekend lunch and it was casual. I would say more tourists than locals so all different types of dress.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

We got lucky, it was 4th of July weekend, so it was busy! We ordered pizza for the table and for my toddler. It was really good! He loves the pepperoni. My order was the salmon burger. They used a good slab of coho, nicely seasoned with a aioli. The fries were crunchy and nice. I shared with my husband and it was just right, since we had a bunch of apps at the market. We also got a round of beers. Or in my case I got their hard seltzer, which wasn't too bad, I would probably just get a light beer next time. Service was great outside! Also you get the nice breeze, they also had heaters on top. Picnic style tables and quick service!

WOW! Our server, Antonio (Tonio), was professional, attentive, kind, patient, and fun. He was incredibly accommodating, especially to the member of our party who had a gluten and red bell pepper allergy. He was a major part of making sure our experience was a very memorable one. Even without a reservation, we were seated right away. Our server came by quickly, and I ordered an Arnold Palmer because I'd been drinking way too much all week and needed a break. Let me tell you--that was hands down the BEST Arnold Palmer I've ever had! For lunch, I ordered the clam chowder and the NY Strip Frites, served with fries and two dipping sauces. Do I remember the names of those mysterious green sauces? Absolutely not. But what I do know is that I'm not usually a sauce person, and by the end of the meal, I was scraping every last bit off my plate. They were that good! Everything was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was welcoming despite our very casual appearance. I'll definitely be back on my next trip so I can experience even more of the menu. And one last thing: as we were leaving, they handed us these tiny candies that packed a surprisingly huge punch of flavor. I'm still kicking myself for not getting the name of them--or any of the sauces, for that matter. If the staff happens to read this, just know that when I come back, I'm heading straight for that candy bowl. No shame whatsoever!

Zigzag Café tucked away…read moreon a terrace right beneath the Pike Lake Market is probably one of the best secrets of Seattle. When you come to town you want to visit this place... Maybe because of the vibe, maybe because of the mood lighting which is a sultry red, maybe because of the fresh signature roses, maybe because of the outstanding bartenders... Maybe because there's a patio outside under the stars and the lights, but the outstanding cocktails are always past of the experience. But you never get less than outstanding service when you walk into the ZigZag Café. Starts from the top with the owner and filters all the way through the bartenders, servers, and the hostesses. I tried the passionfruit colada and shifted to a whiskey sour with egg whites. Outstanding was the Burrata with yummy fried garlicky lentils, sweet heirloom tomatoes garnished with a generous springy of micro greens and drizzled with a glorious balsamic reduction...and chewy, thick slices of grilled sourdough. Perfection. Bartenders Eli and Ricky were top-notch de rigueur-- this place only has the best bartenders (including the legendary Murray ruled the bar for an era ) -- and Hannah was the hostess with the mostest. Every time I left my seat at the bar I would come back to the folded napkin. Simply amazeballs when the place is so packed. Because it was a Sunday night there was an amazing jazz trio. They started at eight and went through 1030. Not too loud so we couldn't speak but sultry and rich and soulful with joy. No cover charge -- just all part of the extraordinary hospitality that exemplifies the iconic ZigZag.

I think they have a room for shows and dinner too if you're into it. I had fried chicken and beignets that come with a spicy honey butter that was excellent. Spread it all over the chicken and you'll be happy. The beignets were a lil too firm for my liking but powdered sugar and syrup cures all. Definitely an interesting spot to hit if you're staying in the pikes place area. I'm sure it's fun to see a show too.

We were served appetizers and drinks before the show. The coconut shrimp were fantastic, and large. I found the Clown Car almost impossible to drink because it was so sweet, but honestly that should have been expected. The absinthe is also fantastic. Now to the show! I was impressed by the caliber of entertainment. The announcer brought so much energy and humor, and brought in the crowd in just the right ways. The dancers were fantastic; basically the entire 3 hours was choreographed down to each step. My favorite number was the mermaid and sailor one. The singers were also good. A lot of fun and great for an event like a birthday or bachelorette.
