Really good food! Everything was delicious. The service was really great too. Our server was a lovely woman and very attentive and bubbly. The ambiance feels fancy and classic. This is located on the lower level of the Fairmont so it's on brand. Would definitely come back!

Food is a bit overpriced but service is good. We really like the complimentary bread.

A very classy restaurant with small outdoor seating area , and it located inside the fairmont olympic hotel. And this is my second visit , and would like to explore more food here. Came in on time for 5:30 pm reservation, greeted and lead to the seat. Inside it is really dimming light, old fashion restaurant set up. Service wise, no complaints, especially like the oyster recommendation the waiter provided. Totally 5 star towards the three flavors baked oysters, fresh, juicy and flavorful -- 5 star on it. The clam chowder is ok, the soup and ingredients separated after 10 mins consumption. Good with in house bread, ordered half ( $3 bucks) . 2-3 stars. The Apple crumble dessert , loaded with sugar and at a level that dessert cravings put off sadly, and I have to continue to drink water to take a small bite. Not recommended! So overall, the food i ordered for this trip only got 3 stars.

Visited in 2010 and looked forward to coming back again one day. Today's the day! We went for happy hour. Oysters were $2 each, ordered 38! Also had the Dungeness crab cakes with a couple of Forbidden Love cocktails. Oysters were so good, we just kept ordering them. The Dungeness crab cakes were probably the most delicious crab cakes we have ever had. The Forbidden Love was a refreshing drink. Loved the balance of flavors. Service was excellent. Rishi was personable and very helpful. The space has the wonderful old wood walls, carvings and nooks from the haberdashery from the 1930...so cool. This place deserves a better rating than 4.1. Until we visit Seattle again...good eats to everyone

A colleague and I enjoyed this place, reminiscent of a classic old school looking restaurant that you might see in DC or NYC. We started with the fresh local oysters on the half shell. One kind was so buttery and especially good! We both had the classic Caesar, one with shrimp, one with chicken. They were excellent and had the perfect amount of dressing a crunch, homemade croutons. My shrimp were a wee tad overdone, but barely. Good martinis per my friend. I wish there had been more wine options, but I had a nice Syrah. Service was friendly and personable. They checked on us regularly. My friend couldn't seem to get ice until maybe the 3rd go around, but did get it and my special request for no ice in my water was accomodated. Good experience, cozy and quiet enough to hear each other! The bar is nice looking also. Would return.

During our conference weekend in Seattle, a group of us decided to grab dinner at Shuckers Oyster Bar--and let me just say, it was one of the highlights of the trip. From start to finish, the experience was top-tier. We were lucky enough to be greeted by Mama, our hostess, who truly lives up to the name. Warm, funny, and in full command of the room, she made us feel like we were home--even with our large party. She told us she's only been there three years, but you'd SWEAR she runs the place. If you go, ask for her. Seriously. Darla, our server, was just as amazing--thoughtful with her recommendations, patient with our indecisiveness (ok... it was really just me), and attentive all night. We ordered a little bit of everything (because... why not?). Someone at the table had to get oysters--it's in the name, after all--and I even tried one for the first time. Shockingly not bad! Super fresh and briny in the best way. I went with the fish and chips and a side of coleslaw. The fish? Perfectly cooked and flaky. The fries? Meh, they were alright. But that didn't even matter because the vibe, the food, and the company were all hitting. 10/10 would recommend. If you find yourself at Shuckers, do me a favor--say hi to Mama and show her this review. Ask her if she remembers the big group of educators who left full and happy. I bet she will. She's unforgettable--and so was our night.

This oyster bar that's tucked away in the Fairmont Hotel is such a gem. We had a lovely meal after traveling to Seattle all day. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, the sourdough boule was a treat, the crab cakes were almost outshined by the Asian slaw that accompanied them & the finishing touch of the berry tart with sour cream onion was in perfect balance. The only issue I had was that the table next to ours refused to share their order of onion rings with us, the complete strangers next to them.

Food- I ordered half dozen oysters and the steamed clams. Both were very delicious. The oysters were fresh and came out quick. The clams were a good combo of sweet clams in a perfectly salty broth with 3 pieces of grilled bread. Later in the evening, I got the black and blue pie with the sour cream ice cream. Honestly, I got it to try the ice cream and it didn't disappoint. It was tangy like frozen yogurt. Only pictures I remembered to take were the dessert. Service- The service was phenomenal the moment we walked in. Everyone was welcoming, kind, and attentive. They took the time to explain the menu, took the time to get to know us and crack jokes, and checked in on us. We ended up coming back to order dessert for takeout later on in the evening and they went over and beyond again.

Classy, beautiful old school bar and restaurant. We have been here several times before, but it's been awhile. Good to be back! We stopped in for their "Oyster Hour" Tuesday-Thursday. 4:30-5:30 and had a dozen oysters (just $2 each) - delicious; and the steamed clams with white wine, butter, capers, garlic, fennel and dill); wow; great flavor Tried the Pearl Diver cocktail; excellently prepared by the "newest" bartender, Brent - he's only been here 6 years! Had friendly banter with him. Will be back! I'm

We had a small hiccup with our reservation being accidentally canceled, but the staff handled it quickly and easily accommodated our party of two. The oysters were fresh, local, and delicious -- and the wait staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the sourcing and preparation, which made the experience even better. I ordered the scallop special, which was cooked well and very enjoyable. We also tried the mushroom side, which featured a nice variety of different mushrooms, though I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, a great spot for fresh seafood with excellent service! Very convenient if you are staying at the Fairmont Hotel.

I'll be back! The ambiance is cozy and upscale. The staff is welcoming and friendly, especially Brent! The drinks were on point - Brent even suggested an alternative gin for my French 75 and it was delish! The oysters were divine! We had cascading and sapphire - both with fresh. Adding this to my return list.

5-stars! Truly exceptional food. Fantastic at their specialty: oysters. You MUST try the smoked oysters if they have them!!! They are soo tasty (of course, only if you like the Smokey flavor). They offer oysters several different ways: fresh, smoked, and baked (baked is done three different ways). I also enjoyed my black cod with the lemon sauce and couscous, and baked sourdough loaf. Mmmmmm good. The apple crumble was okay. The service was impeccable. I really appreciate the ambience and that they serve wine out of the bottle rather than only bringing you a pre-poured glass.

So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Whatever they're doing back there, it's working. The brine was full and present in every shell, and the mignonette hit that rare sweet spot of light but actually seasoned. The Winter Old Fashioned? Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. Was eyeing the bottle with the piglet on the label, but it was bottle-only -- a distinction I find increasingly arbitrary as a former server and bartender. One day that policy will be a relic. Not yet, apparently. Best brunch I've had in Seattle in two years. Highly recommend.

We ordered some of our go-tos -- hamachi crudo, tuna tartare, and calamari -- and everything was spot on. The vinegar dill fries are exceptional: thin, super crispy, and loaded with seasoning (honestly hard to stop eating). We also tried the loaded fish sandwich and the cornmeal-battered lingcod -- both solid choices. Spicy margarita lived up to its name with a nice kick. It was pretty dead when we arrived around 5pm, with only one other larger table seated, which made for a relaxed, easygoing happy hour. Always a dependable spot when you're craving seafood done right.

Upon walking in, we noticed the server was pretty quick to take the initiative to push a couple high tops together since most of the tables only sat 2. We also had a child with us so he offered us a booster seat. I feel like that was the last time we were treated pleasantly. Our server was very dry and direct when he approached us. I told him my husband has celiac and his response was "Ok." I followed up with so can you tell us what options we have that are Gluten free friendly? (Didn't think I needed to ask after mentioning a severe allergy) He just stepped away and looked like he was trying to find out from someone in the kitchen. He came back shortly after and gave us our options. We ordered a few different things to share, oysters, the fish dip and mussels tostada. The vibe we got was that he did not enjoy serving us because we had a child with us and I seem to be asking him too many questions. That is the impression he left with us. I will say the oysters were very fresh and enjoyable. We also got the crab Mac n cheese which was cheesy and tasty. We asked him for some more chips since we ran out quickly for the smoked oyster dip. He seemed annoyed but got us more. I could overhear that he sounded more pleasant with the other guests surrounding us. The mussels tostada flavors were nice but I didn't love the texture of them which is totally just my preference. He dropped off the check shortly after and noticed there was a 18% gratuity which I found out is standard for downtown Seattle. Being in the industry I do think it's a courtesy to mention it when dropping off the check to a guest. On another note, I did think the seafood tank in the center was cool because you could see all the geoduck and oysters they were offering. Overall, I think we wanted to enjoy our experience more but the servers attitude and demeanor towards us was off putting and we just tried to eat quickly and leave. Don't think we'll return to this location.
