Buckley's was within walking distance from our hotel so we decided to poke our heads in. No one greeted us so we walked up to the bar, looked around and then chose a table across from the bar. Finally a server approached us and offered drinks. We both ordered a drink. My friends ordered beer and I ordered a michelada with modelo. What I like was that not only did the server bring me a Michelada but the remainder of the modelo in a can. My friends dared me to down the modelo which I did lol We also ordered sweet potato tots and it was a huge portions enough for 3-4 ppl to share. I was eyeing the bbq ribs bucket but we were planning on going next door for dinner so I had to pass on the ribs. Dang! Shared a bunch of appetizers at this sports bar in downtown Seattle. It got very packed, and there was only one server rushing around trying to get everybody. What they're known for is their Thai Sesame ribs. Well, at least the sauce on these were decent. Unfortunately, the meat was bone-dry. It was tough, chewy, and a slog to get through. Ribs are supposed to have enough fat. I don't know what went wrong here, but if that's what they're known for, that's not a good sign. The only good food item was the pub wings. These actually had a good buffalo sauce, and the meat was relatively juicy. The cheese curds were not cheese curds. They were ball-shaped mozzarella sticks. There's a difference. The tots were at least fine. Although lacking some crispiness Pretty much all the appetizers here are over $15 - so the only kind of good value is the tots for how much you get. Overall, you're going to need to buy a lot of drinks to get over how below-average the food is. 3/10 read more

I love Buckley's! The pub food, large variety of libations, fun atmosphere and great service it's definitely a hot spot to be for a game or just getting together with friends! I've become great friends with Dan and Fran who are stellar bartenders & waiters. They are attentive (always make sure the glass is full), fun and outgoing. Never a bad time! The type of bar I wouldn't be surprised to find my dad in after he got off work. I snagged one of the few open stools at the bar. Monday is a busy day as it is ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR and there are real happy hour savings here. How about a cheeseburger with a generous side of fries for $8.95????? The fries were great, hot and crispy, with sides of ketchup and spicy ranch. The burger was real and honest, two of my highest compliments for a cheeseburger. Made to order exactly right. Bun was toasted and smeared with aioli and had a nice crisp. Solid toppings of lettuce, two slices of tomatoes, red onion, and several pickle chips. These were presented on the side so I could dress the burger as I liked. The whole thing was delicious. I had a well gin and tonic at the HH price of $8.95. Overall, a very good meal and a great deal. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, the busy bartender acknowledged me as soon as I sat down, and I was immediately drawn into conversation by the regulars on either side of me. As I often eat out solo, I'm used to striking up conversations with strangers, but I didn't have to make much effort here. Fun company! Solo eaters are welcome. My wife and I were staying just across the street from Buckley's and noticed the owners building a new railing for outdoor seating. We left for a few hours, and when we came back they had just finished it. We stopped to chat with the owners, who were incredibly friendly and told us we had to try their award winning ribs. They even gave us a couple ribs as a free sampler. All I can say is WOW! The ribs were absolutely amazing, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. They even had that perfect little crisp on the outside that made them even better. Some of the best ribs we've ever had. The hospitality was just as impressive as the food. If you're in the area, Buckley's is definitely worth a visit. Great people, great atmosphere, and outstanding food. Highly recommend! read more

We were visiting Seattle on the weekend that Tennessee was playing Georgia in football. My honey is a TN fan so I googled places that TN fans congregated and found this place just a couple blocks from where we were staying. It was busy when we walked in but found a high top table in the bar area right in front of a tv. It was meant for us! There were plenty of TN fans so we were in good company. We had a boat ride and dinner at Elliot's later so I didn't want to eat too much. I got the fish sandwich with tater tots and my honey got the steak sandwich and tots. Tots were nice and crispy. There were close to well done which I like. My fish sandwich was good. It was fried fish with coleslaw an tarter sauce on it. I got extra tarter on the side because I like tarter sauce. The bun also contributed to how good the sandwich was. It was like a brioche bun and it was soft in all the right places. I didn't try the steak sandwich but I was told it was really good. I got the cheese burger with an upgrade to onion rings! The cheese burger was pretty big, well seasoned patty and I liked how they kept some ingredients out for you to add to your liking. Stopped in for some bar food and football last week with out of town friends. Loved the vibe, lots of TVs, plenty of sports choices, and a drink / tap list as long as my right arm! We were promptly greeted, grabbed a booth with its own TV, and got the first round of drinks going. While service lagged a bit through the stay I have a hard time complaining too much. To be honest we were a bit slower drinkers compared to some of the patrons, so I can see why were left a bit to our own. The food was outstanding. My wife crushed the quesabirria tacos (such bright and floral tasting shredded beef) and I had an incredibly tasty and overly filling Cod fish and chips. The only complaint I can really lob is towards the restroom space. Forgive me a minutes for getting on a soapbox here - but what is it about sprots bars and restrooms? I get that guys (and gals) can be pigs. I also get that this is a low priotity / non revenue generating space. But could you please spend just a little time / money on bleach, paint, and some decent fixtures? I know people are AWFUL and are always destroying things, no matter how well built and durable it is. But I just hate it when bars and resturants fail to update restrooms. Buckely was no exception. The excellent food quality sticker on the doors, the service and drink choice (and the outstanding meal on my table) speak to your ability to put together great quality and safety processes in the kitchen. A good sports bar to eat some food and enjoy watching some sports. I have went here in the past and I've loved their burgers, however, this time I did not enjoy my burger as much. The buns and patty were dry which completely changed the experience. The patty wasn't that flavorful. The fries were still good, as it was crispy and tasty. I also had their mini corn dogs which I enjoyed, but nothing out of the ordinary. It wasn't on their menu for some reason ($10). The service was good, however, it's always so short staff. In the beginning, the place wasn't busy, so the server was nice and attentive. When the place got busy, the server had to run around a lot, and it would force us to great her attention to request for additional stuff. Buckley's really needs to work on their staffing. We stopped in after doing some shopping in the area. It was a Sunday afternoon and they had all the games on. It is seat yourself like most bars. We came towards the end of the football game schedule so we easily got a table. I don't know if there is a bad table in terms of view because there are so many tvs. But we had views of every game from our high top in the bar area. They also had labels on the tvs so you'd know which games would be played on each tv. I loved this added touch and it showed how they cater to their customers and try to make things easy to navigate. The bartender was our waiter and he was very friendly and helpful. He greeted us right away and was instantly welcoming. We ordered drinks and food and it was all great. I loved that tater tots were a side option like fries. I had the veggie burger and tots and I'd get it again. They have lots of beer on tap and a full bar. I'm sat writing this after some time unattended after they took my plate away. When my server bussed it my beer was on its last leg, I've been waiting long enough that I might not get a second. While my burger looked delicious it was severely overcooked. For a patty that should have been medium rare it was fully congratulated. Had it been at the happy hour cost I might not complain, but Sat/Sun are full price. That and the smallest side portion made for a less than stellar experience. If you're looking for a bar on game day and this place is walking distance from you.... Just got my check and I'm dropping off a star. Their burgers are not nearly worth 20+ dollars. The cashier told us about this place and it was only a 5 minute walk. It was during happy hours so they had a bunch of deals going on! Our first stop after arriving in Seattle. My husband really wanted to catch the second half of the Michigan game, but we were also hungry after traveling from the Bay. This place was perfect for the sports fanatic. Hella teams were represented, among them some of our favorites: Michigan, Raiders (his, not mine), and the Warriors. Lots of beer, breakfast and "blunch" options. We got spicy bloody marys, breakfast tacos, and the two eggs dish. The sausages were delicious and the hash browns were McDonald's style. Everyone was nice and welcoming! The ambiance was fun and lively without being super crowded. Great way to kick off our trip, especially with the Michigan win (go Blue!). read more

My friends and I came on a Tuesday night, in time for happy hour and trivia night. Happy hour here is super worth it, but the food was average. My friend was a fan of the mozzarella sticks, but I thought they were mid. The jalapeño poppers had too much cream cheese, the sweet potato tots were pretty soggy, and the pretzels were too salty. We also saw a lot of reviews on how the wings weren't that good here, but we got them anyways, and the buffalo sauce wings were pretty standard and what you would expect from any other place. The ribs however, were REALLY GOOD. I would 10/10 recommend getting them. Trivia night was really fun. It's two hours long, which sounds like it would be too long, but it actually went by in a flash.
