Walked by and when I saw fried chicken livers, I had to stop. It's $11.99/lb so we ordered half a pound. We mainly asked for livers and gizzards, hard pass on the heart. Next time, I will only order the chicken livers. The liver to me had more taste, the gizzards were tough versus the liver is soft. The lady didn't really weigh it either, she essentially kept adding to the bag until we noticed that she wasn't stopping and asked if that was half a pound. It was more, but we were good with it. It's not common to have access to fried chicken livers and gizzards. If we ever make a trip to Seattle again, I'll be back! read more

Breaded and fried to perfection I got a half a pound of each and proceeded to cruise around the market snacking and enjoying my fried chicken giblets. OMG t'was soooo good. I wish I lived closer because I would be eating there all the time. Unfortunately I didn't try the chicken meat but if it is the same quality as the hearts, gizzards and liver I would guess it is awesome! And believe me I love fried chicken. Walked by this place captivated by the novelties in the glass case, which led to a huge disappointment. We got the gizzards and it was not edible. The gizzards were not crispy AND overly chewy. The food is great here as well as the service. The ambiance is a bit noisy and can be crowded since it is near the entrance to the Pike Place Market. I love their gizzards and hearts. Their shrimp is good as well. The only concern I would have is the cost. They a very pricey. For example, $3.50 for wing, and $3.36 for a drumstick, and $9.99 per pound of gizzards. While he was looking at the chicken offerings, I spotted a side cabinet that had deep fried chicken gizzards, livers, and hearts. My brother and I we love these things, so we got a combo order of all three. After devouring the combo order we ordered another pound of gizzards and hearts. We both agreed that these were some of the best food we tried during our entire 5 day trip in Seattle. Perfectly cooked and the batter reminded me of a KFC-like flavor. We loved them so much that we came back the next day to get more! My brother tried a chicken stick and said it wasn't too good. My recommendation is to not even waste your time on anything else they offer, just stick to the hearts, gizzards, and liver. Tasteless and the squid had weird texture. The chicken stick was the worse part. It made of super fatty chicken tight and lack of seasoning. I took a bite and thrown away the rest. The service was bad. The lady at the counter barely speaks English and I'm fine with it, since English is my second language too. However that lady was not friendly at all. No smile, no greeting and no thank you to customers. She also fought with another man(staff) and kept arguing in their language. I just stood there, waiting for my food, and felt completely being ignored. 13$ for a little bag of fried seafood and a stick of fried chicken was a completely waste of money. I have a feeling the display model was fried that morning and I'm not exactly sure why she didn't give me a fresher batch. Everything was tasty but room temperature. Chicken Thigh - ~$3. Similar to the chicken parts, the vendor looked at various chicken thigh pieces and ended up giving me one that was all the way at the bottom and in the front. One of my favorite parts of Pike Place Market is the fried chicken you can get here. It's in one of the more touristy parts of Seattle, and you'd think fried chicken is the kind of stuff you get at fast food restaurants. But this is far above fast food quality. The food here is cheap and greasy, so I always feel like I'm putting on a lot of weight by eating food from here. But it's definitely worth it! It appears to be a mom and pop store, but they make food better than restaurants with lots more employees. They also have a better selection; much of the appeal here comes from fried chicken organs that you don't normally find elsewhere. The fried chicken gizzards here are some of the best treats for your taste buds you'll ever find. They are priced according to weight, but are not terribly expensive. Since they are so greasy, they tend to make a mess in the white paper bags they come in, as well as your fingers if you pick them up with your bare hands. But wandering through the market while munching on gizzards is one of the greatest feelings in the world. I don't suppose they're the healthiest choice considering how deep-fried they are, but if you've come to Pike Place Market, you're probably there to have fun, right? read more

I have been jonesing for some chicken wings for awhile now. I was not in the mood to bus it up to Wing Dome in Greenwood so I relied on my trusty Yelp app for some ideas and that was how I discovered Chicken Valley Farm Stores. As much as I frequent Pike Place Market, I have never notice walking by this place. It's easy to miss it since there are swarms of people walking through the area on a regular basis. I ordered 3 chicken wings, which roughly came out to $3.25. Sadly, I was not very impressed with these wings. The skin was alright but the meat was lackluster to my taste buds. Perhaps I would have enjoyed them more if I had some dipping sauces and rice? It's a nice option for a cheap meal at the market but I don't think I would go out of my way for these wings. read more

To start off - the people who run this stand are great. The woman at the counter is sweet as can be. And the guy who fries up all the stuff is a master of his craft. I normally go here to get gizzards for my boss. Today I was craving chicken fried rice, and I knew they had it here. I was pleased to discover they've branched out from chicken. This is the diamond in the rough, picture a bag of fried chicken bits in a crowded market place where the floor is slippery. Less than 5 bucks can brings me back to grandma's fry where she brought together the magical combo marinade of sugar, soy sauce, Chinese rice wine, ginger and green onions, dredged in the slightest bit of flour and fried to total happiness.
