    Harissa Tuna Melt
    Ha Vi D.

They had a variety of bagels and sandwich options for both breakfast and lunch or you can build your own or just get some bagels and cream cheese. I had a hard time choosing but I ended up going with the harissa tuna melt which was new and limited(?). The tuna salad had really good spices (not spicy) and it was saucy, not dry. Overall very refreshing flavors, not fishy at all. The only thing is the bagel was a bit too tough for my liking so biting into it was a bit tough but it was not a tough chew. Service was great, love the staff and I got help with choosing a bagel. There was a lot of seating and everything was clean. They have takeout boxes out for leftovers and you bus your own table. Great spot for a quick breakfast/brunch.

Toasted is a great bagel spot with great service! They offer unique Mediterranean-inspired, halal bagels and drinks. They have three locations: One in the U-District, SLU, and Bellevue with a fourth on the way in Pioneer Square! Each location, except for the Bellevue location, has ample seating to do work or to eat a quick lunch. The Bellevue location is a cute little stand to get a bagel to-go. They offer a variety of sweet and savory bagels, available as a sandwich or open faced. The bagels can be a tad bit tough, but I also think bagel preferences are very subjective. They make up for it in flavor, and I found all the bagels I tried delicious. I'd highly recommend the bagel flight if you're sharing. The coffee on the other hand was a little lackluster and either only tasted like a plain coffee or you could only taste the flavorings. Toasted is an amazing small business to support, started by only two UW students. They're extremely passionate about what they do and wanting to share their culture with others. During Ramadan, they even stay open late for those that are fasting. I love everything they do, and I will continue to support them in the future.

The service is always great! The ambiance is nice and it's decorated very well! Their bagel are always good and they have a nice variety of sweet and savory! I highly recommend their bagel flight if you are sharing with 2 or more people! Their drinks are just okay but that's not their main thing. Parking is tricky but should be free since it's mostly street parking!

We ordered two flights between four of us. The bagels were a little dry but the portions are quite big. The bread itself on the bagel was quite heavy but the toppings were good. They were different but too much to eat as a whole. The ambience is quite nice and the coffee is pretty fresh. They served in Togo boxes and put them in bags even though we ate in the store itself

Stopped by in the early afternoon and really enjoyed their iced Americano -- clean and crisp and reasonably strong -- along with an outstanding open faced lox bagel with a generous amount of delicious lox, rich cream cheese, crisp sliced cucumbers, juicy tomato slice and outstanding pickled onions, all topped with lemon zest and parsley. Oh and the bagel itself was well toasted and high quality. A filling late lunch along with excellent and efficient ordering. Excellent coffeehouse atmosphere too. Will definitely be back

    Matcha Blossom Bagel

Got this limited time bagel for the cherry blossom festival! The strawberry jam and whipped cream were delicious. The matcha cream cheese was mild and I wish there was more. I got it on a poppy bagel that was only alright, the outside was kinda tough and a bit difficult to bite through.

Not a long line for Sunday morning crowd. Service was really friendly. The bagels choices are amazing for all sweet and savory options. Unique flavors. The Za'atar Turkey was very refreshing and LOVE it. Coffee is amazing too. Just very pricy. 2 bagels with 2 drinks for $50 is a lot....

Overpriced bagels and mediocre coffee. Service was great though! The bagel sandwich had too much BBQ sauce. Labneh & honey bagel was just cheese with honey drizzled. The bagels weren't freshly toasted. They tasted like they had been previously toasted. They weren't crunchy and were more chewy. Turkish coffee had too much ground coffee at the bottom. It didn't have the rich flavor (I've been to Turkiye). The lattes were way too sweet that I had to add a cup of water. I will not be coming back.

Wow, this place is delicious. I ordered online takeout and my food was ready right on time - the place was clean and bright and staff were friendly. I had a honey cardamom latte, which was a nice balance of sweet with a tiny bit of spice. I also had a turkey pesto peach bagel sandwich - which was delicious - the pesto and peach together with the soft yet firm bagel was amazing. The most amazing food item I tried was the date and labneh bagel - it felt almost decadent with how hearty and sweet and satisfying it was. I don't live near here but I will be finding excuses to go to this neighborhood going forward!

    Turkey BEC and Avocado Bagel

A good bagel sandwich is hard to come by in Seattle. There's no place that does it better than New York (in my opinion), but this place is definitely top 3 bagel spots in Seattle for me. I got the Turkey BEC (everything bagel) and my partner got the Avocado Bagel (sesame bagel) and this spot did not miss on the flavor, price, and quality. The service was quick and our bagels came out nice and warm! The place seems like a very popular place for students to study as it is very close to UW. It was busy when we got there, but we were lucky enough to snag a seat to enjoy our delicious post run bagels. The atmosphere was relaxing, clean, and calm. This place is also social conscious as they are donating 20% of their proceeds this weekend to the NW Immigration Right Project.

Really cute corner coffee shop with delicious bagels. They even have turkish and spanish coffee. Cute interior decor with lots of windows for natural lighting. You can order from the kiosk if you have social anxiety. There's the main area and another more private space off to the right; about 10 tables decent for working but no place to plug in except along the couch seats. Perfect for chatting with friends but will get very loud if it's a full house. WiFi slows down after more than 5 devices are connected.

One of Seattle's BEST bagel spots! Toasted is a 100% halal, Mediterranean-inspired bagel shop with three locations: U-District, SLU, and Bellevue. Founded by two first-gen UW students, they're serving up incredible bagel flights, loaded sandwiches, and unique drinks! What I ordered: Open-Face Flight Turkey BEC Sultan's Roast Beef Lavender Honey Latte Spiced Rose Chai The staff was friendly and atmosphere was great for studying! I really liked the turkeyBEC!

Poppy bagel with sun dried tomato & basil cream cheese
    Vanessa P.

I've been waiting for Toasted to open and I'm so happy it finally did! I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich, a bagel with the sun dried tomato & basil cream cheese, and a cappuccino. I was a little worried the sandwich wouldn't be filling as a meal, but they don't skimp with their ingredients. It was stacked with turkey, arugula, and tomato. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. They also put a generous amount of cream cheese on my other bagel. I got a poppy bagel for both of my items and loved it. Their coffee is also very good; the cappuccino tasted strong and not too bitter. I really appreciate that they don't charge extra for nondairy milk! Their interior is modern and simplistic with a lot of tables/seating options. It's a cute ambience if you need to study or meet up with friends, although it can get crowded. Service here is also great. The employees were very friendly, and when I went to use the bathroom I noticed they had a sign that said to ask the employees if you're in need of any feminine products. Although it's kind of a random thing, I thought that was super considerate and not something I've seen at many other places. All in all, I highly recommend Toasted and can't wait to go back!

Ambiance is awesome! Lots of people so make your reservations like us. We ordered a shared appetizer - pita bread and all 6 kinds of toppings hummus, tzatziki, and all they offer. This is a lively place, always filled with a lot of upscale looking customers. So the atmosphere is quite loud, but fun in a buzzing way. We were seated quickly, as we had reservations. Our server Charlie, was engaging, friendly and on top of things. We ordered the shared dips---olive tapenade, eggplant, hummus, tatziki with some warm pita triangles. They're all good and a fun way to start the dinner. We each had kebabs---lamb, chicken and mushroom. All good, moist and tender all poured with a jig of ouzo on a hot skillet. The onions in the bottom get browned and crusty, so good to eat. One had a lamb burger which looked juicy and served with delicious mound of fries sprinkled with rosemary. Food here has always been awesome. Skipped dessert as we had homemade cookies to eat at our next stop.

However after we expressed that we didn't want to wait that long, we were told that if we wanted outdoor seating they could actually seat us in less than half an hour. We chose the outdoor seating option and took a quick stroll in the quiet neighborhood before coming back. Our server told us that Homer's plates are meant to be family style and shared so their general recommendation is 1 large plate or 2 small plates per person. For us, we ordered the Set of top 3 spreads, lamb ragu on tahini and we were served with 5 pieces of warm pita. We also ordered Grilled Pork with Stinging nettles, raw albacore tuna with taramasalata, and smoked and shaved kohlrabi. Our server warned us that the pork was going to be on the fatty side but we were still surprised by how fatty it was. The spreads for the pita were amazing as usual-- their seasonal flavors taste amazingly fresh. Our table wanted to order more pita and when someone came by to take the empty plate they asked if we wanted more which we did let them know but even by the time we finished all the plates, we never got the additional pita so we just took it off. The Kohlrabi was an amazingly refreshing palette cleanser before the pork-- super light and refreshing. After we finished our meal we grabbed some soft serve from the window and wow, for 7$ it's quite a lot of ice cream! The flavors that were offered when we were there was Dark Chocolate and Kettlekorn. I sampled the swirl and the fusion of the saltiness of the kettle korn, the slight bitter and sweetness of the dark chocolate was immaculate. Final thoughts: very cool experience, inside I could see the open kitchen and the stone wood fired oven and the ingredients tasted amazing. However it is a little inconvenient that it's walk in unless you're a party of 6 since the lines and wait can get incredibly long. It's also difficult to find parking in the area. Very neat experience!

This…read morewas exciting to me as I enjoy food from the Middle Eastern part of the world, and the entrees do look very enticing! We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.

Yalla is a walk up window, and there are just a couple of benches right outside where you can eat, and according to other reviews you can also go to Montana Bar next door with your food. The menu is posted in a couple places right next to the ordering window, and it's pretty easy to parse. Almost everything there is what I'd consider a "portable food", meaning something you don't need a plate, fork, and knife to eat, which makes sense given that it's not a sit down restaurant. They have veggie saj, meaty saj, mezze, a few sides, and a dessert. I really like their concise menu. We tried the baba ghanoush ($9.5), which comes with saj on the side, a batinjan and labneh saj wrap ($12), and a halloumi grilled cheese (halloumi grilled inside saj, $13). As you can tell, the saj underpins everything at Yalla, and their saj is excellent. Warm, soft, flaky, and tearable, it is perfect for both dipping and wrapping and grilling. The batinjan and labneh wrap is bursting (literally) with tender grilled eggplant, a rich sauce, and tangy, creamy labneh. It is truly one of the most delicious eggplant dishes I've ever had. The halloumi grilled cheese definitely hits the spot, and is more filling than you think by looking at it. Baba ghanoush is so smooth and flavorful, and I love the pomegranate seeds on top! The folks who work there are super nice, very friendly, and food comes out quickly. Prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely be back to try some of their meaty saj! This place is going into my regular rotation, for sure.
