Pretty solid bagel shop offering several lox and other loaded sandwich options. 10+ bagel types available including the standards but also some harder to find flavors like nori-sesame. The bagels were good, chewy and crispy. Priced around $3 per bagel. The sandwich options are numerous with different fish types. I opted for the Brooklyn which was loaded. The Brooklyn comes with an everything bagel as the standard, but next time I'll swap it out for something more neutral. Ambiance is bright, with seating available. Service was ok, ordering happens through a self serve kiosk. Every sandwich order is made fresh, so there may be a wait (unless you get a bagel only). Location is near the Beacon Hill light rail station, but hard to find as it is away from core foot traffic. Street parking in a residential area. Loxsmith bagels is definitely a gem to have in south seattle. I hope they continue to get more customers!

    Yummy 12 bagels

Bagels were fresh and yummy and staff was so kind and talkative!! Definitely will be coming back. The little store has so much life and the tables with little drawings is so adorable! COME GET FOOD HERE ITS FIRE!

Update: the owner called me and we discussed how there are different styles of bagels and bialys, and he was sorry we didn't like his. He also said the link for ordering online through Doordash is new, and they have kinks to workout. He offered to provide a refund. I think he tried to provide good customer service and appreciated that. This place is not going to make it. I heard they have bialys, which are hard to find here. I called and was advised to get a dozen I'd better order online to ensure they have them. I now see why. I went in to pickup my order and they had hardly any available bagels to buy, except a large basket of day old bagels. They didn't even have a plain. So I got an everything bagel and my other tried an egg bagel, and I got my dozen bialy. The bagels had a nice crust, but we're just big heavy rolls. The everything bagel was overloaded with "everything", which is normally a good thing. However, this mix had sooo much burned garlic in the mix it was all I could taste and it was really unpleasant. In the picture you can see it - AFTER I brushed off such as I could. Nothing special about the egg bagel at all. Other than the color. The bialys, the reason we came, were the biggest disappointment. Huge bready rolls. The only way they resembled a bialy was the big wad of onion in the middle. And the kicker? Because I ordered from the link on the website, I was charged $32 for the dozen instead of $28. When I complained I was told "I only work here" and if I wanted to discuss with a manager I could try calling or emailing. I do not recommend this place for bagels, bialys or customer service.

Long-time regular, both Delridge and Beacon Hill. I always get the Loxsmith. Stellar lox, chewy and crisp bagel, perfect schmear. It's a true treat. Seeing some of these other reviews, I'm surprised. Running a business is never easy, and people are only human, but I've never had anything less than a 5-star experience in my mouth. Facts.

Your business was so hot when it opened and it actually went downhill about 6 years ago and I am not sad to see you go. Josh - to respond to your comment. My note should have inspired some reflection with the business model but it didn't. Your level of greed was insane and that is not forgiven here. You started hot and decided to squeeze more than your share from this business and this is what happens. You messed around and found out. It's sad because I actually supported the business when it opened but quickly had to end my dealings due to the high level of greed. You did this to your own business by wanting more, more and more, so please don't play the victim here. I'm sorry that you're saddened by this but what you did to the community is far worse than what I said. Actually ripping people off with your product is not having humanity. I'm not the inhumane one here and let's get that straight. I didn't rip people off - you did! You got what you deserved and that's that. The salmon had barely detectable flavor if any, while most of the flavor came from the capers. Overall, I felt a bit like I had been scammed. The chocolate chip cookie was actually pretty good. Not great, but good enough. Note about the service: I walked up to the counter to order and asked if they would bring it out--the person i ordered from said yes--so I tipped accordingly. I took a seat in the main seating area on the patio and poured myself a glass of water from the self service station. After around 20 minutes of waiting and looking inside to see if anyone was coming out i walked in and asked one of the people preparing bagels if someone was going to bring my order out. He looked confused, pointing to a row of bags on the counter, one of which was my order. Now, I tip generously for service, but more often than not i don't tip when I order and pick up my own food at a counter. Again, I felt a bit scammed. A few things to consider: I've never had a bagel on its own here, only a bagel sandwich. So I don't feel as though I can give an expert opinion on the bagels. However, they do work very well for the sandwiches. The everything bagel is absolutely loaded with seasoning, and has an incredible saltiness (I'm a salty man, so this is a good thing). I feel as though this elevates the eggs to a new level. I was immediately drawn to a pastrami breakfast sandwich, because it's a top tier meat. This will feel more like you're eating thin roast beef because of the color, but it's still pretty good. I do think that this sandwich needs some acidity to balance out all of the fat, so grab some hot sauce at the counter. Overall this was a great sandwich, and I would get it again. That being said, I feel like the bagels are lacking due to a fault in a core ingredient. They all come with potatoes, and I think that they're either boiled or not quite roasted enough. Having to deal with undercooked potatoes dispersed throughout a mondo burrito is a battle that I'm unwilling to wage - but people seem to love 'em. The other ingredients and overall flavor is nice, though. Rachel's is a fun place with good coffee, too. And they let me bring my dog in which is dope.
