    Turkey Lunch
    Erika C.

So happy to finally try this Queen Anne staple! Came here with my parents the day before thanksgiving. The retro vibes were adorable and there was a lot of fun decor to look at. The booths were really cozy and we loved the coat racks on each booth. I got the avocado toast with hashbrowns, fruit and a beyond (meatless) sausage! It was all delicious. The egg was nicely scrambled, hashbrowns were very nicely seasoned, and the fruit was varied and fresh. Great drip coffee too. My parents got the Chilaquiles and the turkey lunch, both of which were enjoyed and pictured. Our server was helpful and attentive! Would totally recommend.

We visited 5 Spot Café on November 21, 2025, around 11 AM, and the experience ended up being a mix of great food and disappointing service. The place itself is lovely, very clean, bright, and welcoming, with that classic Queen Anne charm. It was also quite busy, which shows how popular it is. We ordered a Build Your Own Omelette, Avocado Toast and Farmhouse Scramble and we also ordered a coffee. The food itself was very good fresh, well seasoned, and nicely presented. Honestly, the kitchen did a great job. Where things fell apart was the service. For a place this busy, I expected a certain level of attentiveness, but our server seemed checked out from the moment we sat down. Zero attention, no real interaction, and extremely short responses. At one point, we were literally mid-order when one of us was still deciding, and the server simply walked away abruptly without saying anything. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially during a brunch rush when clear communication matters. Despite the great food and clean environment, the service brought the overall experience down.

Ive been wanting to try this spot since forever, but that insane line every weekend morning always never seemed worth it but THEN I got an Instagram ad for 10 dollars off 30 for this place- and thought it MUST be a sign! We showed up around 10 and were told the wait would be about 45 minutes, so we perused some neighborhood shops during the wait and were pleasantly surprised that the wait was only like 25 minutes (which did mean we had to sprint back to not have our spot given up lol). Our server was not the most friendly- and honestly so apathetic- which I get that you gotta turn over tables in the rush but dang we felt kinda unwelcome. We got country biscuits and gravy and a massive cinnamon roll- can't complain there. The cinnamon roll was the real star. Hot dog it was fluffy and giant and a meal on its own. But hot dog- you sure know you're in Seattle when even the diner food comes out to $40 even after your coupon! But, it is cozy in here for sure! When that giant coffee cup's steaming in the dead of winter, I may venture to wait again.

My friends decided to repay me with food after moving and of course, I did not decline. THEE Spot (pun intended) in Queen Anne. Due to popularity, I recommend making rezzies ahead of time. When we finally got our table, our host took our drink order and came back within 2 min to take our food order. We all decided to get a different dish so we could just go around sharing bites. Everything was delicious and the service was great! It was packed with a lot of groups having a fun time and celebrating something!

Santa Fe chicken sandwich and Onion rings

This is one of the best casual American diner spots in the Seattle area! The portions are huge, large enough to share for two people; I've tried a couple of breakfast dishes, and the Chicken fried steak is definitely one of the best items on the menu. I would also recommend the onion rings and the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, which is crispy and juicy. The omelet is okay; the flavor is good, but there is a LOT of oil, and the mix-ins are sliced large versus diced. I would skip the clam chowder soup and the tuna melt--both of them were overwhelmingly creamy and not savory enough for my taste. It will fill up on weekends and can feel chaotic, but the service is quick and no-frills!

Plenty of street parking. We were seated within minutes. I ordered chicken and waffle. The fried chicken grease soaked into the waffle so it was a bit soggy and greasy. My friend enjoyed their breakfast but I am a bit disappointed with the waffle

Breakfast, Bloody Mary's and coffee always good! As a local Seattle native, and living just a few blocks away, I've been coming to the 5 Spot for years. It's the classic breakfast spot that always satisfies.

My family is obsessed with this cute retro diner in Queen Ave. Despite coming on a Saturday morning just after ten, we were seated immediately. We loved the lively atmosphere and there was plenty of place to sit. Our server Kenny was friendly and polite. He really went above and beyond. I even saw him pick up a jacket and pacifier off the floor for another large party (with four toddlers) and that's the kind of care and consideration from the staff that makes these local places feel like home. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and loved how fluffy they were with just the right amount of crispy crunch. The berries were fresh and I loved how unlike most pancakes, you could eat them plane and they were still I also ordered the Queen Anne Ave cocktail and loved how incredibly the refreshing blueberries paired with the huckleberry vodka. I just wish the blueberry skins had been strained out, because it was pretty disgusting to chew my drink and the skin doesn't taste that great. My parents shared the Chorizo Scramble and loved it. When I tried a bite I loved the chorizo and my dad appreciated that they didn't skimp on the portion size and included a lot of protein. The spicy red jacket potatoes sounded incredible on the menu but were a disappointment on our table. I have a pretty low spice tolerance and even I found them flavourful but mild. I don't even think white people would find the spicy red jacket potatoes spicy. While I was expecting something different, I've never met a potato I didn't like and these were no exception with a perfect crispy crunch. My only qualm was how gross the restaurant was. I'm not a huge fan of booth seating in the first place, but booth seating covered in mysterious sticky spots and crumbs is enough to make my stomach turn. Not to mention there were multiple mini puddles of water on the floor throughout the restaurant; like no more than a quarter cup of water in each puddle, but why is it just being left on the floor and not cleaned up? It seems like a slipping hazard. Thank you Kenny for being literally the sweetest, your service made our day!! We really appreciate how you went above and beyond for us.

Love this spot! The hostess greeted us and she was stellar. Like, if I owned a restaurant I'd beg her to come work for me. She was friendly, kind and inviting--PLUS she greeted us when we walked into a super crowded spot. We ordered biscuits and gravy, red jacket potatoes, a stack of pancakes and goats and garden--everything was spectacular. Our server greeted us pretty quickly and you could tell he was very busy and not up for any small talk or indecisiveness. So, no pleasantries, let's get to it. I was like, "I'll have a Bloody Mary." He was all, " What to eat?" But he never confirmed that he heard the Bloody Mary, which is a Saturday morning must have. So I said it again. And he also said again, "What to eat?" I was like, "I'd like a Bloody Mary, and ..." He was just looking at me like I was either a crazy lady or a Saturday morning drunk, lol. Anyway, he was fast, efficient and everything came out delicious. We would recommend!

Voted one of the best breakfast spots in Seattle. The 5 Spot delivers a classic diner vibe--cushy booths. They offer delicious food portion sized home style servings. My go to is over medium eggs home fries ands coffee- a must. The veggie patty I ordered a a side was better than beyond meat or impossible brand ! The staff is very attentive and friendly. But the star for me? The cinnamon roll. It's huge, gooey, perfectly spiced, and the kind of treat that makes you want to come back just for one more bite!!! Over loved the charm and food of this diner !

The place was packed! Strongly recommend you make a reservation! We did and still had to wait for a while, but did make us priority! The food menu was large and loved that they have a good kids menu!! They have not too big portions, so loved that a lot!!! The waiter was awesome!! He was extremely happy and catered to the kids! Everything was nicely decorated with photos and art on the walls. The restrooms were a bit dirty because they haven't been checked on in awhile. That was my only negative for me. Street parking all around.

5 spot ultimate breakfast with hash browns
    Calvi N.

Food - Got the 5 spot ultimate breakfast with a side of hash browns. It was a lot of food but I finished it all. The eggs were correct to order and pancakes were fluffy. Hash browns were crisp and so were the hot bacon strips. The fruit rounded out the french toast and I had no real complaints about the food overall. Service - Immediately greeted and seated within 5 minutes of arriving on a pretty busy Sunday. Servers were fast and efficient, easy to modify dishes. There are hooks for your coats and rainjackets, essential for seattle! Ambiance - Bright and large windows for natural lighting. Has a more rustic diner vibe which fits the cuisine category well. Overall pretty busy and loud but you'll still be able to hear friends.

A pretty little place in Queen Anne Ave which we tried for a Saturday brunch. The place was full and really busy but we were lucky to get a seat and the service was pretty fast. The place has a lot of parking outside on the street. I ordered the omelette with hash brown and toast. The omelette was good but not the best I have had. I have had better breakfast experiences in Seattle. A bit overhyped but worth giving a shot maybe it was just not the day for me.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).
