Family style :)

Perfect location, wonderful atmosphere, and incredible service. This wonderful brunch place is located right near Maple Leaf park which makes it a great place to go before or after a park visit. There is no parking lot but street parking, especially a couple of streets down, is quite easy to find. My friends and I came in for Sunday brunch and were seated quite quickly and easily. We loved to colors of the restaurant which were bright and fun. Our table decided to do family style and shared everything that we ordered. As a table of four, we shared one entree, one sandwich, a salad and an appetizer which was the absolute perfect amount of food and variety. We decided on the El Pepito Ranchero, The Ensalada Caribena, and entree that I have since forgotten and an appetizer. The sandwich was amazing and so juicy which was a pleasant surprise. The salad was a great addition and allowed for light and fresh option. The entree was also amazing, the meat was seasoned incredibly and added great variety to our spread. The owner of the restaurant was also there and encouraged the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday to a customer which was very sweet. I will be back for sure!

lechon asado

got the Lechon Asado plate along with the Chicken Empanada here Before I even talk about the food, I have to mention the environment here. This restaurant is really small - only room for a few tables in the indoor seating area, with very few staff on hand. However, it has an incredible feeling - like you're stepping out of Seattle and directly into Colombia, or Venezuela, or Cuba, or other similar places The music playing from the speakers, the art and pictures on the wall, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is quite literally perfect. The owner (whom I recognized because there was a giant painting of him on the wall) even came in and took my plates when I finished. This is all a preface to say that this may be the most perfect Latin food I've had in my life (and I've been to Mexico and the DR) Starting off with the Chicken Empanada, I can't start without mentioning how crispy it was. The crunch on this thing was absolutely incredible - biting into the breading was so immensely satisfying. The inside was also great - a mix of chicken and cheese. This empanada was done Colombian-style, which meant it had cornmeal, which combined to be really good. I additionally loved the guacamole - so much so that after I finished I was just eating it with the few pieces of greens I was given Moving to the main dish, the Cuban black beans and rice (congri) were basically perfect - the beans were sweet and immensely comforting, and the rice was well-cooked, slightly wet with the sauce, and just overall fantastic. I ate this by mixing it with the pork. Speaking of the pork, it was absolutely the highlight of the meal. There was a TON of it on the plate, and it's hard to put into words how juicy, tender, and astoundingly flavorful it was. The roasting and marinating process worked to absolute perfection here - as it was so satisfying to eat. The flavor profile of mixing the pork, rice, and beans was just all-time good. It was difficult to eat the last piece of pork, because then I knew I'd be done with the meal Lastly, the two other things this came with were the fried yucca and tostones. These were both an interesting complement, and I really loved the sauce that was slightly sour and slightly mayo-like that came as a dip with this In terms of price, I would say this was a pretty good amount of food, although the total was slightly on the expensive side at around 28 dollars. Still absolutely worth it, in my opinion

Parilla Mojito with no rice

The restaurant is clean and has a chill vibe to it. The service was great as well. However got a togo order and it was a mess. Ordered the Parilla Mojito with no rice and it was packaged poorly to start. Though the beans were flavorful, the needed a container separate. The citrus-marinated steak was tough and a small portion for the price. The fried yucca and tostones though were cooked well to a golden brown. Based on this experience it's not worth it for the cost.

Cool mural (10/1/25)

I had visited the OG site albeit infrequently. So I had been anticipated their move, renovation, and grand opening at the former Art Tile location in Seattle's Maple Leaf neighborhood. Tried twice with no luck. Finally The Homie & I had mega parking & seating karma on this rainy Wednesday 10/1/25. Third time's the charm, indeed! Our waitperson was super personable and at the ready for any menu questions. The Homie selected a refreshing batido and well crafted El Cubano. I opted for the Bistec a Cabello...perfectly grilled steak topped with an egg, congri (beans & rice), yucca, tostones, and delicious house salad. Packed full of flavors, textures, and at a terrific value! Wrapped up the meal with a pair of cafe con leches and shared a slice of tres leches cake. The only thing that can be improved upon is sound proofing. The din was so loud that it was at times a challenge to have a convo or hear our waitperson. High ceilings and concrete floors amplifies collective lively convos from the entire dining space. Kudos to Luam Wersom, owner & community leader and his entire team at Mojito for continued success!

Hidden gem but iykyk. Before we get to the food just a quick shout out to an owner who deeply cares about his clients and fantastic service. Expect every table to get a warm greeting and laid back conversation with the man himself. You really can't miss with anything on the menu so I won't direct you towards anything specific. A big shout out to their salsas however. Big kick and incomparable flavor combinations.

This is a neat little place in a good location. It is right across from maple leaf park. The service was quick and friendly. The food was pretty tasty. I got a milk based smoothie also which was made of fresh fruit, not just a syrup.

Latin American place that specializes in Cuban and Venezuelan dishes! I got the vaca frita and the bartido smoothie in the guanabana (soursop) flavor. Delicious! Portion sizes aren't huge though so don't expect to be filled. Meat is also on the dryer side but the plantains were well cooked. The bartido was slightly sweetened which is perfect for me.

Milanese de carne, empanada and sauces

I had not been to this place in many years a found they had moved to the Maple Leaf neighborhood. Place is very good size, bright and airy. Service was very good, though not lot a of people when I first arrived. Menu looked great. I got a chicken and potato Colombian empanada that was excellent. Main dish was Milanese de carne, breaded fried steak served with fries and rice. Meat was excellent. They provided two very tasty sauces , both creamy, habanero and garlic, house made. To drink I had A Jasper's Rum Punch, very good but bit too sweet for my taste, and Pisco Sour that was very good. All in all a very good meal and I will definitely be going back.

Had a great family dinner here. The service was great throughout, the food and drinks were all amazing, and the atmosphere was lively and friendly all night. The whole snapper was perfect - lightly breaded but perfectly seasoned and cooked. And the house salad goes great with it for the freshness. I'd love if they added a Happy Hour menu since I live down the road.

The food is delicious! I ate from a catering order but definitely dining in the restaurant next time! I got the cheese, beef and chicken empanadas which were filling and flavorful. Then I had their Congri which is seasoned rice and vegetables. I could eat this everyday! It's sooo good. I didn't think I'd like it with the carrots inside but I was surprised by how much I liked it. I added some hot sauce to my rice and it was perfect. Lastly, I got some Maduros which are roasted plantains. These were the perfect dessert. I'm excited to try more items in the menu!

Parilla mojito. Very, very good. Tender flavorful meat. I will be getting this again when I go back!

I went in hoping nothing had been lost in the move from their original location--what I didn't expect was for it to be even better. Every plate that hit the table was clearly crafted with care. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and with textures so spot-on that my picky side couldn't find a single flaw. The meats? Tender and juicy. The fruits and veggies? Fresh and vibrant. The yucca frita? Crisp and crunchy perfection. And the mojitos--well, let's just say they were dangerously delicious. When they asked if I wanted hot sauce, I said "sure," expecting the usual store-bought bottle. Instead, they brought out homemade mild and hot sauces that paired with the meat like they were long lost lovers destined to be together. This was one of those dinners you secretly hope for every time you go out--the kind that leaves you smiling all the way home. I'll definitely be back.

Vaca frita is a great dish and full of delicious flavors. Also, the mojito taste really good, like a lime raspado but with rum yum.

I'll start with the beef, as it was the primary component of the dish. Despite it being flank steak, it was clearly simmered for a long time - and displayed none of the traditionally chewy or dry properties associated with the tougher cut. The sauce also helped - it was very well spiced, and had a slight tomato-like flavor. Mixing this with the yellow rice yielded something that was really satisfying to eat. The combination of sauce, beef, and rice was quite enjoyable, even with mixing the vegetables in for some extra crunch. The portion size of beef was crazy. When combined with the rice, the total amount of food here was solidly enough for two full meals. It is around 20 dollars for the dish, but I would classify that as a good value when you consider how much food you get. On the opposite side, I swapped the maduros out for fries. These...were not good. The fries tasted stale, hard, and not appealing at all. While the portion size was high, the appeal was not. The sauce that came with these was interesting at least. Overall, I think this is a very strong core dish at an impressive portion. Would recommend sticking with the plantains as a side though. 8.5/10

I haven't had a real Cubano but if it's like what we had at Cafe con Leche then I may need to book a flight. It was so good! Our server was drifting between Spanish and English and greeted a number of the customers like old friends. Always an excellent sign.

This is THE spot to come before Mariners games or nearby concerts and nobody can convince me otherwise. I've tried them several times in the past and now have my dad hooked as well. Their signature Caribbean Roast sandwich is absolutely phenomenal and I have the hardest time ordering anything else when I'm here. I have tried the nachos version of it before as well, and that's equally delicious. The key is definitely that succulent roasted pork. I will say that the sandwich version is MESSY so don't wear white, and also just be mindful if you have plans after. This year, my dad decided to order a pre-seasoned and smoked turkey from Paseo and my GODDD it was good! We made a gravy from the drippings as well which turned out so good too. We also get their street corn that was said to serve 4-6 but it was generous and we had leftovers. Absolutely a MUST try, 10/10 no notes. While it's a good sandwich, it felt a bit heavy; I really found myself looking for more acid to cut through the fat and grease. I'm glad I was sharing with Jenny because it's quite a lot for one person. I also noticed toward the end that the bread was burnt.
