I've been following the "Mobile Food Truck Rodeo" since 2011 and have been more than happy with their recent developments!! No longer charging for admission, additional food trucks and a better choice of venue(s). Food trucks started rolling in about 10:00am which was about the same time my anticipation started to rise! My friend and I visit the market on a regular but hearing that there were going to add 15+ food trucks to the mix made us that much more excited! The line up consisted of a few regulars, such as Snout & Co, Street Donuts, Veraci Pizza and Tandoozy with addition to Crisp Creperie, Xplosive, Jemil's Big Easy, Grilled Cheese Experience, Wiseguy Food Truck, I Love My GFF, Jerk Station, Buns, Curry Now, Raney Bros. BBQ, Bistro Box, Street Treats, Falafel Salam, Chicarepa and Los Agaves. The food trucks provided a delicious aroma which flowed throughout the market and almost made you forget that it was raining! The indoor market, including a few food trucks provided a little shelter but Tandoozy was sweet enough to provide two covered tables for our convenience! Having tried a little something from most of the food trucks, we found ourselves returning to the wonderful Tandoozy for their "Everything Naan"! My friend lloves it with "everything" which includes rice, chicken and chutney but I'd be satisfied with just a simple serving of their Naan drenched in their olive oil, garlic and cilantro sauce! YUM! A few trucks provided "specials" just for the event and we just had to try "The Bomb" from the Grilled Cheese Experience. "The Bomb" was a buttery grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with oxtail and mac n cheese. A little rich and heavy for our pallets but knew we were going to walk it off with a stroll through the market!

I am often at Fremont Sunday Market anywhere from one to three times a month. Having food trucks there is just an additional incentive for me. The weather today was much better than I expected. I was there for 3 hours or so and it didn't rain very hard. It was a little cold and the heaters that were added a few weeks ago were absolutely perfect for today. You could order your food from trucks, then wait under the heaters to keep warm. It was pretty sweet. The Red Door Ale House had tasters of beers. It was nice that we were able to take our food truck food inside to sit down, keep warm, watch the ballgame, and chill out. Unfortunately, the jacket I had my eye on was not there today but I did talk to the vendor and hope I can buy it next week. For those of you who know me, you know I'm into food trucks. Today, I visited Street Donuts for their first return to Seattle since September. They had a seasonal peppermint and chocolate flavor but my heart belongs to cinnamon and caramel. Fantastic as usual! The Bistro Box was in the house with Arancini (fried risotto balls). They were fried crisp and full of creamy mushroom risotto. At $6.00 for 2 balls - I was totally full! Jemil's Big Easy brought peach cobbler to the party and I was all in! I wasn't sure how an outdoor event in December would go but I think the event had a little something for everyone - food trucks, shopping, and beer. What more could you ask for?

We ordered the halibut dinner for Mother's day as a splurge and supplemented it with 3 extra sides, a prawn cocktail. and strawberry shortcake for $183.00. Everything came par-cooked with re-heating times in the same temperature oven for the same amount of time. [350 x 20 min.] Pieces of halibut were 8-10 oz. We split one and ate about 1/6-1/8 of each of the pints of sides. It will be easy to get 3 excellent meals from this order or to feed 6 at a time. The aluminum cartons make reheating easy. It may take a while to get hungry again but we are looking forward to another order as soon as we are.

I had a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and it was so incredibly flavorful! I wanted to shake the chefs hand it was so good. I tried to find them at another baseball game I went to and it seems like they must not be there every time. When they are there, I'll be getting a sandwich from them every time!

Both groups attracted the most people to the main stage of this multi-block event taking up NW Market St and 22nd Ave NW, among other streets. I made the mistake of getting here around 2:30pm way past the event start time, then spending half an hour to find parking near the Ballard First Lutheran Church and then walking about 15 minutes to reach the main stage on Market St around 3:15pm. When you do get here, there's a lot of noise and crowds going on. This was also during Seattle's World Cup crowds, so many bars around the block were broadcasting the games with people gathering to watch and cheer. Many vendors also line up the streets as well, most of what you would see if you go to similar events like Bite of Seattle or even the Georgetown Carnival. This particular fest had a big salmon BBQ booth from Trident Seafoods which requires tokens you can purchase from the information booth. I saw the longest lines for there in particular. Besides that, I didn't see much seafood for this year. I ended up not doing the salmon BBQ, and the vendors were mostly what I've seen before in other events, so I mostly relied on the surrounding Ballard businesses for dinner and my matcha fix. I will say Built to Spill was actually really good despite indie rock not being my type of music, and my friends made my experience here better. This is an all-right event for me in particular, but I might still come back next year for the music acts.

We thought the beer wasn't as bad as some of the reviews it's gotten so far on Yelp. I thought it was worth checking out for myself because we still had a fun time hanging out, drinking our beer, and chatting with one another. We didn't feel rushed. I'd go back if they expanded their taproom and made it a slightly larger space to sip their beer at and spend a more comfortable time at to hang out and meet up with friends.

A gentleman requested my order for which I shouted out and handed him some currency . He fans the flames & grilled my mystery meat tube and slopped some yellow mustard atop. He wrapped my dog in a paper wrap and handed it to me a few minutes later. With dog in hand I stood around on the streets of Seattle with a host of locals & Hipster Doofus's all chowing down the best meal at 2am you ever consume. I drove to a nearby Ethiopian market but they were closed. So I called around and a restaurant/market was open. So, I ordered and picked up my food and it turned out that their market had closed down some time ago. I started to panic since I had gotten further from home but had set out to get some spices. So, I dove around the Ethiopian neighborhood hoping that a store would either have their door open or an "open" sign. But they were all closed. So, I tried calling around, and finally this store answered and I made my way there. I read out my list of spices to the lady, and she helped me obtain all of them. She was quite pleased that I had known all my spices and when I asked for the Kibbeh (Ethiopian spiced butter), she seemed reluctant, but I begged her saying that I don't know how to make it. So, she went and got a big jar from the fridge. I think it was her personal stash and not meant to be sold. Nevertheless, I was so happy, because I got everything on my list from one store which perhaps was the last Ethiopian market opened on an icy Seattle evening. It is unfortunate she had an unpleasant teenage son some years ago who was probably just immature and hopefully he had grown up by now or had moved away. The lady seemed down to earth and honest. I highly recommend that people shop there. Although I must say, it is a very small store so probably won't have everything beyond basic Ethiopian food supplies.

Been twice since they reopened once to go and the last time with friends from work to dine in. Service is always so friendly you feel so taken care of and welcome.They're still figuring out the layout of the space currently there is one large communal table to sit at if you're dining. New people are slowly discovering as they walk by and regulars are finding out they reopened and making their way there. There hospitality and food are what keep people coming back. Everything on the summer menu is currently 14.95 and there are a number fun beverages to order as well my favorite is the lychee lemonade if you like tart like me this one is for you. First time I had the Ka Pao Gai to go the egg stayed yolks till I got back to my office a 15 min walk away. It was a pleasure meeting him. I love a good pad kra prao gai. Mark has his own take on many of these Thai dishes, so I was excited to try his versions. I asked for him to make mine Thai spicy, and he happily obliged. It was actually pretty spicy, and he gave me some of his homemade spicy sauce on the side to add. It was very good!! While I was waiting, he gave me and another gentleman a sample of the spicy peppers. I think it was a Birds Eye chili. Spicy and tasty. The very kind gentleman paid for my meal. I will definitely be back to try many of the other dishes. Very happy to have this place reopen. He also has many curry packages you can buy to take home and cook for yourself. I love that!
