I always buy my Enjera (Ethiopian) bread, and other spices at this store and the husband and wife who operate this store are super nice.

Ok this is just for the deli in the grocery store. My husband wanted banh mi and when we Saw the…read moreprices here, we were surprised. $4.99 for a tofu banh mi! You don't see prices like that anymore... And the lady was very nice. She stuffed the banh mi, asked if we want to cut it in half. The banh mi comes with pate as well as butter. Not many places does that. It was a good banh mi, especially for the price. Satisfied my cravings. I also got some wings to try and for 4 jumbo wings, you only pay $3.97! That is a deal. I air fried them when I got home and it was really good! Better than some restaurants! Definitely a hole in the wall. Will be back for sure.

I was going to order it without jalapeño but I'm actually glad I kept it in. They luckily didn't have seeds and were sliced thinly. It gave my sandwich a nice spice that was easy to eat. The size is perfect and the bread was toasted nicely. It had a good crunch on the outside. I'd say some of the meat was fatty but that fat was cut in bite sized cubes so I didn't mind it. Very filling and tasty flavor. Good filling to bread ratio in my opinion. The customer service was also amazing. Such kind ladies behind the counter and quick and easy service. I'd order here again.

You won't get a thank either. Well, maybe a mumble of something unintelligible. And one cashier won't hand you your change. She will simply lay it on the counter and you go fetch it yourself. These people done pissed me off today. I've been shopping here pretty regularly over the past 4…read moreyears. I've gotten fish from their seafood counter many, many times. And often I have them clean it and then fry it. The fish depending on the size is typically cooked around ten minutes. I waited at the counter where they prep the food and saw my piece of fish in the fryer. I stood there for over 20 minutes before they finally took it out. When the lady finally gave me my fish, I looked at it and said it's over cooked. She didn't wanna talk to me so he had the other lady come over to talk to me. Instead of I'm sorry, let's fix it she gave me every reason in the book. It wasn't twenty minutes in the fryer. That's how people always ask for it to be done. And ending with it's not overcooked. I just took my fish and walked away. After paying for my groceries, I saw the store manager with one of the supervisors or managers and went over there. As I started to say my fish was over cooked, the store manager ran away instead of trying to help me. The lady pushed me off to someone else and said I need to talk to the seafood manager. One - I'm not gonna talk to a fourth person. Two - the seafood manager ain't responsible for the ladies cooking my fish for over twenty minutes. What had me so livid, is the absolute POOR ASS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not one person attempted to rectify the situation and instead wanted to push me off to someone else. And the FACT that the STORE MANAGER ran off instead of fixing the situation really pissed me off. Sure, I'm one person and my dollars won't make a difference. But my voice will be heard and I will let everyone I know why they shouldn't spend their money there. There are many Asian stores in the area and with much better quality (especially when you compare the meat department). It's a review that should be a NEGATIVE TWENTY.

I love my local PCC. As a Columbia City resident, I probably shop here at least three times a week…read more It's not cheap, but the quality is often worth the premium. With that said, I've noticed several cost cutting changes over the years that I'm not thrilled about. The meat department used to have a traditional butcher counter, which made it easy to get the exact amount of black forest bacon I needed. This is now gone and replaced with pre-packaged cuts. Bulk bacon is no longer offered, and shopping for meat now creates more plastic waste. Recently, the deli counter was replaced with pre-portioned servings. This move might make sense but is not a great sign of for the future of this store. I'm glad the sandwiches have been spared, especially since I eat those pretty frequently. Lastly, the pizza situation is lacking. Maybe something's up with the heat lamps, but slices tend to dry out and are incredibly unappetizing. The only way you'll get a good piece is if it just came out of the oven. This is not an issue at other PCCs, where the pizza is in good shape throughout. Overall, still love shopping here but I hope my PCC's best days are ahead.
