Delicious authentic Venezuelan food
Sarah B.

My go to place for some authentic Venezuelan food. Highly recommended and friendly service. The ambience is inviting clean and plenty of room for a nice size group. The food comes out very quickly especially if you're in a rush or lunch break! Plenty of parking at the location in the Factoria mall. Love the yucca fries, the fried tostones and today I tried a new dish with a delicious fried egg and cheese that caught my eye. I'm a returning guest and suggest you try it too

Great casual ambience, very clean and with live music on Friday. Their appetizer arepa combo was great with 3 different flavors to pick. The bread of the arepa was great...nice and bit crispy. Their entree arepas were significantly bigger than appetizer arepas and will fill you up. Very attentive and pleasant wait staff. Loves it and will be back.

This is a great place to visit with family coming into town. I took my mom here and she loved it. The inside is not too busy and the tables are a great size. The people were nice too! The lighting is a bit dark but there was a nice fireplace to make up for it. We ordered a bunch of things to try. First, I got the black bean arepa. It has super stretchy yummy cheese inside and gives that satisfying cheese pull. Most of the other items we got also were stuffed with cheese which I loved! The arepa had great flavor and paired nice with the green sauce. We also got an appetizer platter that I don't know the name of. My mom's favorite were the plantains and mine were the yuca fries. Do not sleep on the yuca fries!!! They are so crispy and bomb. My only criticism is that I wish there were more salad options on the menu to balance out the fried food. Everything felt heavy and I was only able to eat half of it.

Arepas, yucca fries, mango lemonade, guayaba juice

I seriously cannot recommend this place enough for a quick, casual bite! My partner and I ordered takeout and got the Pabellón and Moqui arepas, the yucca fries, mango lemonade, and guayaba juice. Everything was so good we literally went back the very next night and got the same things! The flavors are rich, vibrant, and comforting, and it is hands down some of the most delicious gluten-free and vegetarian food I've had in Seattle. Plus, it's pretty reasonably priced for how fresh and flavorful it all is. The service was quick and the food was hot! This spot is an absolute gem

Wonderful food and chill vibe at this U District staple. There are a wide variety of arepas with pork, beef, chicken and vegan options. There are also options for plate dinners if anyone's doing gluten free. Everyone in our group of six was very happy with their selections.

Unlike other quick arepa places, they really put thought into their interior space. It's warm and alive with paintings on the wall. The Seattle arepa featured a crispy and soft masa pocket, succulent beef (perhaps that released too much liquid), and 2 types of cheeses. I loved that there were at least 5 sauces to choose from at will, my favorite being the cilantro mayo.

As someone who is part Venezuelan and has had many different arepas these ones are SO TASTY GOOD!!! nice variety, very filling, perfect meal. I can't believe I haven't gone more (prob bc it was far away from west campus). Service was very nice! The seating inside and the entrance makes the whole place feel very cozy and warm.

Pabellon Arepa with Avocado

I first had arepas in Arizona and once I got back home to Seattle, I knew I had to find them again! Low and behold: Arepa Venezuelan Kitchen! I have brought friends and family here and I really enjoy it every time. My favorite dish to order is the Pabellon Arepa and add on avocados. It may look like a small sandwich, but it is super filling! It's stuffed with shredded beef, black beans, cheese, and fried plantains. Every bite with the avocado is pure perfection! The tequeños are also a nice little appetizer to share around the table. They're essentially deep fried mozzarella sticks, but with a thicker dough. Hope you find some time to check out this cute place!

I was told that #4 with the pork and plantains arepa (4/5 stars) is the most popular arepa. I enjoyed it and might be back again if/when I'm in the area.

#4 = most popular. Not that good. Too heavy.

Service - 1/5. Extremely slow. We ordered at 3:30pm and waited for a half an hour to get our food. Food - 2/5. We ordered #4 pabellon ($11.95) and a parilla plate (steak combo plate; $20.75). They both taste like college food. No wonder it's in a college town and most of customers are college kids. Arepa is definitely filling with lots of beans and cheese. Steaks were flavorful but they were so dry. Ambience - 2/5. It looks like a small old beach house turned into a restaurant. Very casual dining spot. We can see this place being popular among kids and hungry people because those sandwiches fill you up with beans, cheese, and plantains. Nothing is bad, but they taste like someone just cooked for you at the tailgate party. Don't expect to get a gourmet food from here. Overall, it's not our thing. Everything was too greasy and heavy for us. We wouldn't come back here again unless some hungry kids beg to come here together. Now we know.

Everything here was delicious! We ordered a few arepas (#4, 6, 7) and the sampler plate. All were good but the ms piggy and pabellon were standout. We were impressed by the quality of meat and the freshness of the dough. Super juicy and flavors well balanced! The sample plate was also good to try as first timers. All was freshly fried / crisp, and was a good opportunity to try all of the house sauces they have in the back :) The owner and staff was so nice, the owner came around to check on all of us individually.

Best bart arepa
Meralina M.

I got the best bart and it was pretty good. I added my own cabbage when I got home because it just needed something more than the meat, some avocado would've been great as well (not expecting this of the restaurant of course, just as a personal preference and because I took it home). Though I do wish the cilantro sauce would've been placed in the whole sandwich not just the top because it was a bit dry. But the meat was well seasoned and well cooked and there was a substantial amount of meat. $10-12 seemed like a lot for an arepa but when I got it, I understood the price for sure. I almost couldn't finish it!

Indeed, they are gluten free. Every Arepa is prepared with water, salt, and corn flour.

Wandering the neighborhood freely (the Light Rail 2 Line making Seattle so much more accessible!) I saw this cute little restaurant and decided to try Venezuelan food for the first time. Ordering was easy as there is a little kiosk to input the order. The pictures and descriptions made the decision easy. We waited a few minutes and out came this whole tray of food. The chicken arepa was great! At first I was a bit concerned because I saw all that cheese and wondered if that would smother the taste, but found the whole experience was super balanced. The chicken was marinated in this bright sauce that balanced the creaminess of the cheese. With the spicy sauce packet it added a punch that was perfect! Soooo good! Best churro I have eaten in King County as well. Crunchy on the out, soft on the in, and nice and cinnamon. Wonderful. All in all would highly recommend for fast convenient arepas.

I'll start with the beef, as it was the primary component of the dish. Despite it being flank steak, it was clearly simmered for a long time - and displayed none of the traditionally chewy or dry properties associated with the tougher cut. The sauce also helped - it was very well spiced, and had a slight tomato-like flavor. Mixing this with the yellow rice yielded something that was really satisfying to eat. The combination of sauce, beef, and rice was quite enjoyable, even with mixing the vegetables in for some extra crunch. The portion size of beef was crazy. When combined with the rice, the total amount of food here was solidly enough for two full meals. It is around 20 dollars for the dish, but I would classify that as a good value when you consider how much food you get. On the opposite side, I swapped the maduros out for fries. These...were not good. The fries tasted stale, hard, and not appealing at all. While the portion size was high, the appeal was not. The sauce that came with these was interesting at least. Overall, I think this is a very strong core dish at an impressive portion. Would recommend sticking with the plantains as a side though. 8.5/10

Their signature Caribbean Roast sandwich is absolutely phenomenal and I have the hardest time ordering anything else when I'm here. I have tried the nachos version of it before as well, and that's equally delicious. The key is definitely that succulent roasted pork. I will say that the sandwich version is MESSY so don't wear white, and also just be mindful if you have plans after. This year, my dad decided to order a pre-seasoned and smoked turkey from Paseo and my GODDD it was good! We made a gravy from the drippings as well which turned out so good too.
