This pineapple sukiyaki donburi was around $15, and I would've liked more rice to balance out the meat, but otherwise, it was delicious and filling. I'll definitely try a Musubi next time I visit! The space had a wooden interior that was cozy and a nice place to sit down and eat. The staff were also very friendly and were quick to jump into action when my friend was missing an order. This is next to the Seattle Symphony, so a great place to stop by for a meal before a concert!

Food is excellent. Service is super fast. They were really busy after the us soccer match and we still got our food in probably less than 5 minutes. Nice place not a lot of table space.

Definitely a very convenient choice if you're in a hurry or just need a quick snack. Tempora shirmp musubi was a little stale and not crunchy. Eel + daikon musubi ratio was very off. Too much rice with very little eel. In terms of service, food came out pretty quick. But then again, it's just protein on top of rice.

Musubi Kai is a little hole in the wall, with a small amount of chairs and tables for dining in. I assume most people take their food to go since the musubi comes in Saran Wrap. The musubi are heftier than you'd expect. They can be a hearty snack or even a light meal. I got the spam + egg + avocado musubi. My order was freshly made and was excellent. If I lived in Seattle this would be one of my go to grab-n-go lunch spots. Highly recommended!

Solid place to grab lunch or a snack. Two musubis was 12$ and they weren't super big so it is pricy. Employees are friendly and I like that you can order on an iPad. Nice seating in here. Came on a Sunday around 1:00 it wasn't crowded at all. Nothing outstanding but solid if you want a musubi. They do have some more exciting toppings here other than just spam.

Cute little place in downtown perfect for a casual bite to eat! I tried the inari musubi and the eel bowl. I've had many eel bowls; this was one of the prettiest. I've never had inari musubi and it was delicious! They have a few tables and some counter seats. Service was fast and friendly, and they easily accommodated my partner's shellfish and nut allergies.

I am so glad that this place exists since we can't always go to Oahu for our favorite musubi place! We've ordered here a few times already and their musubis are delicious! The spam slices are thick and their sauce is just perfect! The interior is pretty cool and I'd love to dine in here next time!

Hands down some of the best musubis in town. I work across the street from here so it's super convenient to put in an order and pick it up. It's delicious and there are some seats for dining in as well!

Yes, I absolutely do recommend Musubi Kai!! I came here while visiting Seattle...and the Musubi reminded me of the ones I've had in Waikiki!! The sizes are just the same too!!! The service is quick and friendly'

This small little gem is tucked away just a short walk from the bustling Pike Place Market -- perfect if you're exploring downtown Seattle and craving a quick, satisfying bite. The place specializes in musubis, and they offer a pretty impressive selection, from the classic Spam to more adventurous options like Unagi with Takuan (which was my personal favorite -- a perfect blend of savory and slightly sweet flavors with that crunch from the pickled radish). Because it's so close to such a popular tourist destination, don't expect to find easy parking. It's definitely more of a grab-and-go type of spot unless you're lucky enough to snag a table for a short sit-down. The space inside is a little small inside and there are some tables. It's a self service kiosk and once the food is ready they will promptly let you know. Everyone behind the counter was welcoming and helpful, even with a bit of a line forming during peak hours. Price-wise, I will say it leans on the expensive side -- over $5 for a single musubi means this can add up quickly if you're hungry or feeding more than one person. That said, the quality and creativity in the flavors help justify the cost to an extent. It might not be the best value in town, but it's a unique offering you won't find everywhere. If you're a musubi lover or just curious to try something different while in the Pike Place area, it's definitely worth checking out -- just go in knowing what to expect.

This place looked pretty affordable and convenient, so I came by with some coworkers. The line went relatively quickly, but it looks like the best option was to order online. I got the curry loco moco and a Spam Musubi. The Spam Musubi is your normal size musubi but just a tiny bit smaller than what I'm used to, and it is a relatively solid size for the price. Looks like a lot of people were getting two musubi as their lunch, and it was pretty filling. The Curry sauce was a bit bland, so I was disappointed. The patties felt a bit dry, but the rice was very good. The curry + musubi combo lasted me about 1.5 meals, so it is a pretty affordable place to get a pretty good quality meal.

Came here for lunch during the work week with a friend, got there on the earlier side of lunch time so it wasn't busy. Location is on Union between 1st & 2nd Ave. Walk up to the counter, order at touch screen, pay, they will bring out your food to you when dining in. Dining area isn't big so a lot of people do takeout. I had to try one of the musubis and got the Spam+Egg+Unagi(eel), it was pretty darn good, good sized chonker. I do like they have poke bowls, so I got the Ahi Tuna bowl. Pretty good, all the standard toppings you would see, they give you a side of hot sauce to pour over the top, a must do! My buddy got the Loco Moco Donburi bowl, pretty hefty for lunch and he said he enjoyed it. Overall, no issues with the food. If you work downtown it's a good spot to put in your rotation or come by and buy a few musubis to put in your pocket. Glad to have checked this place out!

Absolute trendy and fun cafe for small plates! It is visible from moving traffic and the ambiance is very cozy and chic. There is something for everyone, great vegan/ vegetarian options. The serves are helpful and fast. It is a good value for the flavorful food they serve. Highly recommend after visiting Pike place market. They also have some very cool merch!

Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. Just get here, it's a place you can't pass up when you hit up Georgetown!

Parking is scarce, so plan ahead and be patient. We came on a Wednesday and happened to score a parking spot right in front of the bakery. Once you arrive, get in line immediately--there will be one. The woman taking our order was incredibly peppy and friendly, even while juggling everything: taking in-person orders, answering phones, serving customers, and bagging food. Seriously impressive. All the seats were filled, so we ordered everything to-go. We got the famous crispy ginger chicken, spam musubi, and chicken long rice. I was hoping for oxtail soup and asked about it--she explained they only offer it on certain days and recommended calling early in the morning to check, then getting there quickly because it sells out fast. Can't wait to come back and try it. Back at the hotel, we feasted. The crispy ginger chicken is famous for a reason--so flavorful, perfectly crispy, and somehow even better the next day. The chicken long rice was packed with noodles directly in the soup (not separately) so the broth had mostly soaked into the noodles, but it was still deeply flavorful and comforting. The spam musubi leans on the sweeter side, which is great if that's your thing. Overall, this place is all about heart, hustle, and seriously satisfying Hawaiian comfort food. Come early, expect a line, plan for parking--and you'll be rewarded.

The restaurant is smaller, with tables for mostly two or four people. They have an outside area, though the tables were not set up when we went. We were running late for a show, so I previewed the menu before arriving and ordered immediately upon seating. Our total time there was an impressive 40 min with their fast service. Very good to know for future reference. Karaage is in the name and is their signature dish. They make it the right way using chicken thigh. Prices are reasonable for the Seattle area. We will return again. The Food: Curry Rice with Karaage, $17.95 - 4 Stars This popular curry rice comes with a choice of protein, which naturally, we chose karaage. The curry sauce is delicious. There is a lot of rice on this plate though. Hubby left half behind. Poke Salad with tuna, $14.95 - 5 Stars Their poke salad with choice of 3.5 oz protein was excellent with the mixed greens. The salad wasn't overdressed and tasted refreshing with a light dressing. I would order this again. Karaage Chicken, small, $6.95 - 5 Stars Glad they offer the chicken as a side. The small is a good compliment to salad. Instead of four pieces, we had five. Hubby was happy to have more protein to go with the rice. They are more of a 4.5 stars rating. Their service speed bumped them up to 5 Stars.

This was at 12:30PM and there was a long line out the door and around the corner, taking almost 30 minutes. I had previously visited on a rainy winter weekday for lunch and there wasn't a line at all. What a difference the day and weather can make! While in line we could see the chefs cutting up ahi fresh right in front. The longer line gave me time to chat with the owner as he was trimming off the skin and other bits. I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. Overall all the poke is fresh, the flavors all meld together into a delightful balanced bite, and the sauces are not overwhelming. Ono Poke definitely serves some great poke! It's definitely not the cheapest meal option, but the poke is absolutely delicious and the fish is unbelievably fresh I tried the Shoyu Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and the Hamachi; all of them were incredible. The Hamachi is only available on weekends and the fish is so fatty it almost melts in your mouth with the creamy and tangy sauce. The Shoyu Salmon is incredibly succulent and just a classic knocked out of the park with a great balance of fresh, salty, and slightly sweet. I'm normally a tuna hater, but the texture is excellent with a nice bite and great spice level.
