Popped in here to meet some friends before a movie screening at Pacific Place one evening. It was a small place and pretty quiet. I wasn't sure what to expect since I had not heard of this sushi spot before. It looked more like a casual lunch spot and probably popular for takeout. However, I was very impressed by the presentation and the taste of the sushi. I ordered a miso soup and a godzilla roll. The roll was pretty well sized and came with 8 pieces. The fish was so fresh! Also the toppings are all on point. 10/10 sushi. I would totally come here again. Not for a date night or anything fancy, but its great for a quick bite if you're in the area and crazing some sushi.

If you are like me and crave sushi everyday for lunch downtown but are tired of the PCC selection, I highly recommend KAS! The prices are very reasonable and comparable to PCC, but higher quality. I ordered the chirashi bowl and was impressed with the flavors, and amount of fish given for about $26. Their location is convenient on 7th and pine, and they were very quick to have my take-out order ready 15 minutes before the online ordering app said they would. I can't speak much to the ambience since I ordered take-out, but the restaurant appeared clean, and was not busy around 11:30 AM on a Monday.

Beautiful and appetizing presentation, the food was ok, the service was lacking. Had a bottle of the Koshihikari Echigo beer, which was a bit malty for me, but still good. Near our hotel and centrally located. We got unagi sushi, dragon roll and California roll. Fresh fish, but standard fair. I would have given it 4 stars but it was near impossible to get the attention of the waiter to order more food and to pay. We went up to the counter, we yelled to try to get attention, to no avail. Perhaps because we were the only people in the restaurant, they were in the back, but it didn't leave us with the best experience.

Located at the block with Grand Hyatt Hotel right next to valet entrance. I was so impressed with the beautiful artistry display of my sushi from Kas. Absolutely beautiful! The place is casual - counter ordering. Menu is vast with sushi rolls / hand rolls / poke and sushi bowls to a few cooked items like karaage chicken and gyoza. The cuts of fish are fresh and sizable! Great spot when you're in the area of downtown Seattle. Service was fast!

Walked by and wanted a poke bowl. Didn't wait too long to get my Pokebowl and Eel sushi. Those fish pieces in the poke bowl were largest I have ever had. Fresh and tasty. Eel sushi was great too. Services were warm and nice.

Friendly folks greet folks at the around the corner from the convention center sushi spot. We had a few bowls that were quite creative. A casual place.

Overall this spot was fine, I just wasn't impressed. Nice clean location with nice and friendly service. I just thought it was overpriced. It was 13 dollars for the seared salmon appetizer which only had 3 pieces and just not worth 4 dollars per bite for that. Everything was good though just not impressed

My husband and I stayed nearby and visited KAS twice on our trip to Seattle. The employees are so so friendly and food comes out quickly. We tried three different rolls - spicy California, cherry blossom, and Philly crunch. Everything tasted really fresh! The wasabi was the perfect complement to the rolls as well - not sure if they make it there, but it tasted really fresh too. Prices were extremely reasonable and it was a pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed both visits and would absolutely return.

This is a small space but it was very busy & the staff was attentively friendly to all the customers. I got Spicy California Roll which was my favorite of the 2 rolls I got. The other roll was so fresh and well put together which was the Rainbow Roll. I've enjoyed my sushi stops in Seattle and this was by the best stop I made. The presentation of the sushi and freshness of the ingredients makes all the difference. Step in here if you are downtown in Seattle!

Edible. Not great but not terrible. We were looking for sushi and this was the closest option with 4+ stars. As an avid sushi lover this was a bit on the generic side for me. I will say the portion sizes are good. I got the tuna poke bowl and it was decent. Looked pretty and healthy but nothing special. My dinner companions got the Playgirl roll, Unagi roll, shrimp tempura, California roll, vegan roll and miso soup. Restaurant was clean and bright. Not very many options for nigiri or sashimi but a good amount of specialty rolls.

Found this great place close to my hotel. As an airline pilot I get to visit many restaurants across the country and this place was just fantastic, both for service and their delicious Sushi. The service by Diamond was wonderful and the sushi equally top notch, including the presentation. All around a super place for sushi and Poke bowls!!!! Definitely worth a visit when in Seattle.

Late night hunger strikes and this was the only place open near my hotel. The soup was well balanced with flavors. Sat down and ordered quickly and received food within minutes. Small little place and quick service, good to have when your hunger strikes and looking for a warm meal on a cold night.

Came by for lunch with a couple of colleagues and was really impressed by the quality and portion sizes. You can either order at the counter or on a touch screen with a card which is the route each of us went. Orders probably took about 10-15 minutes, so I would plan accordingly if they are busy. To-go presentation was great and everything tasted fresh and delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to return the next time I'm downtown.

This was at 12:30PM and there was a long line out the door and around the corner, taking almost 30 minutes. I had previously visited on a rainy winter weekday for lunch and there wasn't a line at all. What a difference the day and weather can make! While in line we could see the chefs cutting up ahi fresh right in front. The longer line gave me time to chat with the owner as he was trimming off the skin and other bits. I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. Overall all the poke is fresh, the flavors all meld together into a delightful balanced bite, and the sauces are not overwhelming. Ono Poke definitely serves some great poke! They share parking spots with the rest of the plaza and it's not difficult to find a spot if you're willing to walk just a few extra feet. Went for an oddly timed meal on a Saturday around 4PM and they still had all their poke options. There are about 6-8 tables in the store, but quite a few folks take their meals to go. It's definitely not the cheapest meal option, but the poke is absolutely delicious and the fish is unbelievably fresh I tried the Shoyu Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and the Hamachi; all of them were incredible. The Hamachi is only available on weekends and the fish is so fatty it almost melts in your mouth with the creamy and tangy sauce. The Shoyu Salmon is incredibly succulent and just a classic knocked out of the park with a great balance of fresh, salty, and slightly sweet. I'm normally a tuna hater, but the texture is excellent with a nice bite and great spice level.

Georgetown has some nice hidden gems and I would consider this one of them... just good,…read moreno-nonsense Japanese rice bowls of comfort. If you're a fan of Red Bowl in Financial District, this place has a similar vibe with its approach to rice bowls. Having been here twice on different weeks, I think this will become one of my go-to places in the area when I'm craving fresh seafood on a weekend south of downtown. LOGISTICS Parking is convenient for Georgetown area, given they have a dedicated lot for customers of businesses in the area. Entering in, you order through the kiosk and if you're dining in, you can seat yourself and they'll bring the order to you. The space is small for larger groups but if you're 4 people or less, generally there are tables available on off peak hours (at least what we observed Sat/Sun). Ordering happens at the kiosk, which you can choose for takeout or to dine in. Keep in mind there are some items available for dine-in only (ex. udon or seared salmon bowls), but if you plan on doing takeout anyways you can order online or call ahead for pickup. Note - they do close at 2:30 pm but re-open at 4:30 pm. So long as you get your order in by 2:30 pm they'll still service you... which was nice since the last two times we came in around 2:00 PM. FOOD First off, they have nice nice presentation both in how the food is arranged and the bowls they use when dining in. From the ceramic/decorative bowls to the trays they use... it's the little things that add to the dining experience and make you think a business cares about its food. (Note: there was one time we had initially ordered togo but decided to eat in person; so they kept the food in plastic bowls for one of my photos.) In every bowl we had during our two visits, the rice was excellent! We've had some terrible rice at other donburi places before where it can be too overcooked or too mushy. Fortunately their seasoned rice was a good texture and tasty to eat on its own. The seafood was also excellent for the price / quality - fresh tasting with a melt-in-your mouth texture. Volcano Bowl: Spicy salmon + spicy crab salad w/ masago - despite the description it wasn't too spicy (siracha mayo) but it went really well with the rice, like a deconstructed sushi roll. I liked mixing in some wasabi to give it a stronger kick. Aburi Sake Bowl (seared salmon bowl): This is only available to order for dine-in; if you love salmon... I would recommend this one. Seared salmon is delicious seafood umami. I liked how the salmon had the right amount of fattiness too. Chirashi Bowl: If you like variety, then this is an excellent bowl to try a little bit of everything. I was amused that they also included unagi (I don't think I see that in most chirashi bowls). Even the shrimp, which is usually my least favorite part of chirashi bowls, tasted good with a slight sweetness. OVERALL Awesome place and a good location for the area given there's parking available. Price was just right for the quality (I'm amused how much cheaper good seafood is here in Seattle compared to the Bay Area) and the staff were really friendly. There are also two excellent bouldering gyms nearby (Castle Climbing Club and Momentum)... so if you're looking to recharge after a climbing session, I would highly recommend coming here!

The taste was unfortunately very bland, no significant sear in the salmon, and the soy sauce didn't add anything memorable to the bowl. The Una-Gyu Don wasn't bad, but the broiled eel with sukiyaki just wasn't special enough to make you crave it again. The location has a parking lot next door at least. Internally the dining space is narrow and fills up quickly at opening times in the weekend. Order at the counter or kiosk, and they'll deliver the food to your table, which you bus yourself at the end.

There are no bells and whistles here, just excellent service, fair prices, and fantastic food. There are only a handful of tables, which is really meant for solo diners and two people at best. There is a handful of takeout patrons at any given time, but that's only because of the wait. It's far more enticing to sit in and experience the magic that exists in every bowl. Water is self-serve and thankfully presented in a filtered water tank that spits out cold, delicious water. A majority of the bowls are between $13-16 each, which in today's foodflation economy seems expected. The good news is that the portion is substantial in every bowl. My go-to is their chirashi, which is roughly $19 but features a nice array of fish cuts that include salmon, chopped fatty tuna, masago, fresh water eel, shrimp with albacore and another dose of tuna. The unagi don is their most expensive bowl at nearly $21, but the broiled unagi with the eel sauce that is dynamite. The textures, the sweetness, and the size is all on point. And due to its status as a teriyaki city, I think the chicken teri don is an excellent alternative to all the seafood. The teriyaki hits all the right flavor notes, with just enough sweetness with the tenderness of the chicken meat. Add in another $1 and it's a spicy version. I so wish there was something like this in my neck of the woods. If I lived in Seattle, this would be a weekly destination. I'm already looking forward to my next visit(s).
