Food and services always excellent. Lunch time might be a little overwhelming for u guys to find parking but most of the time people pick up togo. But now they have tables for dine in section. Everything is good in theri menu but my favorite is always chirashi cause you havw a little bit of everything.

Georgetown has some nice hidden gems and I would consider this one of them... just good, no-nonsense Japanese rice bowls of comfort. If you're a fan of Red Bowl in Financial District, this place has a similar vibe with its approach to rice bowls. Having been here twice on different weeks, I think this will become one of my go-to places in the area when I'm craving fresh seafood on a weekend south of downtown. LOGISTICS Parking is convenient for Georgetown area, given they have a dedicated lot for customers of businesses in the area. Entering in, you order through the kiosk and if you're dining in, you can seat yourself and they'll bring the order to you. The space is small for larger groups but if you're 4 people or less, generally there are tables available on off peak hours (at least what we observed Sat/Sun). Ordering happens at the kiosk, which you can choose for takeout or to dine in. Keep in mind there are some items available for dine-in only (ex. udon or seared salmon bowls), but if you plan on doing takeout anyways you can order online or call ahead for pickup. Note - they do close at 2:30 pm but re-open at 4:30 pm. So long as you get your order in by 2:30 pm they'll still service you... which was nice since the last two times we came in around 2:00 PM. FOOD First off, they have nice nice presentation both in how the food is arranged and the bowls they use when dining in. From the ceramic/decorative bowls to the trays they use... it's the little things that add to the dining experience and make you think a business cares about its food. (Note: there was one time we had initially ordered togo but decided to eat in person; so they kept the food in plastic bowls for one of my photos.) In every bowl we had during our two visits, the rice was excellent! We've had some terrible rice at other donburi places before where it can be too overcooked or too mushy. Fortunately their seasoned rice was a good texture and tasty to eat on its own. The seafood was also excellent for the price / quality - fresh tasting with a melt-in-your mouth texture. Volcano Bowl: Spicy salmon + spicy crab salad w/ masago - despite the description it wasn't too spicy (siracha mayo) but it went really well with the rice, like a deconstructed sushi roll. I liked mixing in some wasabi to give it a stronger kick. Aburi Sake Bowl (seared salmon bowl): This is only available to order for dine-in; if you love salmon... I would recommend this one. Seared salmon is delicious seafood umami. I liked how the salmon had the right amount of fattiness too. Chirashi Bowl: If you like variety, then this is an excellent bowl to try a little bit of everything. I was amused that they also included unagi (I don't think I see that in most chirashi bowls). Even the shrimp, which is usually my least favorite part of chirashi bowls, tasted good with a slight sweetness. OVERALL Awesome place and a good location for the area given there's parking available. Price was just right for the quality (I'm amused how much cheaper good seafood is here in Seattle compared to the Bay Area) and the staff were really friendly. There are also two excellent bouldering gyms nearby (Castle Climbing Club and Momentum)... so if you're looking to recharge after a climbing session, I would highly recommend coming here!

Tried Donburi Station and really enjoyed it. They're from the same owner as Fremont Bowl, which we're frequent customers of, so we had high expectations going in. We ordered the Una Gyu Don and the short ribs yakiniku don. Both were super flavorful and satisfying. Only downside was that the dishes leaned a bit salty for our taste. The decor is cute, staff were nice and welcoming, and overall it's a solid spot. Would definitely recommend for a quick lunch or dinner!

TLDR: Fresh, large portioned, and great value donburi bowls in South Seattle Food: I had the chirashi bowl and it came packed with a variety of fresh fish on top of sushi rice. The menu also includes specific fish donburi (salmon, tuna, etc.) and hot items like tonkatsu. Service/Ambiance: The restaurant isn't a huge space, but has a variety of tables to sit and eat. The staff was friendly and took our orders at the front with water being self service. Price: The chirashi was a great value, coming out at around $20 for a large portion

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I'm so glad I went today. I ordered the chicken katsu don for my boyfriend and I ordered the chirashi bowl with green salad. My soul has been restored! Omg this is what I've needed in a long while. The chirashi bowl is perfect having tuna, chopped fatty tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, shrimp, fresh water eel, masago with fresh wasabi! I mean WOW! Not bad for the price too! My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his chicken katsu don as well. It looked so good but I saved myself for my chirashi bowl. The salad is a simple salad but with their ginger dressing. The dressing is great and it compliments my chirashi so well. It's not too sweet, and the ginger doesn't overpower the rest of the dressing or the salad. I ordered this to go, but they have a small and very cute dining area. There is 2 hour parking around the building. The staff were super friendly! There was a little bit of a wait because they had so many orders to go and well as some dine-in patrons. I don't mind waiting for good food and I'd wait for this any day! I cannot wait to try their udon and other offerings. I told my man we need to dine in to try it fresh even if it's only 15 mins away from us.

I arrived right as they opened and parked in the small parking lot adjacent to the business. An elderly couple raced in before me as they saw me approaching the restaurant and frantically used the computer station to place their order. Joke's on them because the woman behind the counter took my order and sent it through before the couple finished theirs . I ordered the chirashi and the unagi don, plenty of food and the unagi don was a lot of eel! The fish was also a substantial portion. I think if I returned it could be nice to have a chirashi that had more fish but the same amount of rice. The service was very quick ( so not sure why the couple was so intense about getting there ahead of me). And I think it's a great value for the amount of food. This place is casual and I think perfect for a quick lunch!

Donburi Station offers quick Japanese rice bowls that are tasty and worth the price you pay for. The place is quite casual -- you walk in, order on the iPad, your food comes, and then you bus your own table. Our table got a variety of bowls and everyone enjoyed their dishes. I enjoyed the chirashi bowl and eel the most! All of the fish tasted fresh and the sushi rice was just right. Service was quick and workers greeted us when we entered and left.

Just as good as the Bellevue location! I went to Donburi Station with family earlier this month as a pitstop before the Georgetown morgue haunted house. We've eaten at the Bellevue location many times and the food is amazing, so I wasn't skeptical. Coming here as expected Donburi station Seattle was exceptional. Let's get into the actual review. Ambiance The Seattle location feels small, but it's not; it's kind of shaped like an L when you exclude the kitchen and there are a few tables in the front, but the majority of the tables are along the wall all the way back to the back of the restaurant. In the fall/winter it does get chilly, so I recommend not sitting too close to the door. I did like the set up with that said I think they can probably improve by adding additional traditional Japanese art on the wall. Food The food was banging. Getting the spare rib bowl is nonnegotiable, but I decided to get the salmon bowl instead... one of the best decisions I've made this year. The salmon was cooked to perfection and blending it with the rice and the soy sauce turned my mouth into a house party. I'll probably add the salmon dish into my rotation moving forward. Service The service was OK. There were a few times where I tried to get the attention of the staff, and I locked eyes with the cooks in the back and they didn't try to get the cashier or manager's attention for me. That was a little disappointing. Outside of that, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. All in all, I give this restaurant for all the five stars, would definitely recommend!

Love this spot! Easy parking & the food comes out fast and delicious. The atmosphere is casual and you order at the counter/ at the machine. It's consistently good-- great spot when you're craving fresh a fresh chirashi bowl.

    Unagi don

One of my friends used to go here pretty often and loved their unagi don, so that's what I got here for this visit. Before getting to that, you might struggle finding parking to get here since it is in Georgetown; nearby parking is rough to come by but not if you go during a weekday like I did on a Thursday evening. The inside is as casual as you can get, with brick walls and relatively dim lighting inside. You'd be surprised how many tables there are inside given it's on the side of a very busy Georgetown area. As for ordering, there's a kiosk you can use up front, and servers bring the food over to you. I'm not sure how they know who's order is who's but they're very solid in knowing that without having a number system in place. As mentioned, I got the unagi don and a side of gyoza to make my meal more complete. Gyoza were all right but were hot and fresh as well with the provided sauce. The unagi don was awesome, had tons of good taste and was very umami and fresh! It was definitely a big winner of a dish, and better than I thought given i usually don't like how scaly eel is. I didn't eat too much of the rice since it's just regular rice, and it was also mildly warm. Portion sizes here are relatively big, and you can easily get filled up with just one don bowl. Because of the taste profile of the don I got, I feel this place could be a future go-to when deciding where to go eat with friends! Food is not too little, and also not too large so that you can still enjoy dessert later.

Mixed Katsu Don + side Salad
    Arielle M.

TLDR: great prices and good portions, wish there was more sauce on the side salad. I'll ask next time ! The mixed katsu don comes with pork and chicken. I liked the chicken better just because of the consistency and it basically melted in my mouth. The side salad dressing is to die for ! I would prefer it in a bigger plate with more sauce because the sauce is just on top. The miso soups are so flavorful and for only ~$3 , it's a steal ! I would go just for those. It wasn't busy at all so it was served quickly. It is self order, self seating. It's a small space with a parking lot, nice wooden booths and chairs. It was quite cold in there on a cold day. Would definitely go back !

Very humble, unassuming, almost hole-in-the-wall shop a few minutes drive away from the Costco on 4th Avenue. The food was incredible for the value - where else could you get your hands on a chirashi bowl for under $20, in this economy? Loved the variety of fish. Service was quick since it was practically empty when we arrived, but soon after we sat down a large group came in. Definitely worth the great reviews it has. Would happily return and try more of their menu!

Delicious food! They were very busy with takeouts and customers dining in when our big group came in.. We placed and paid for our orders on the iPad. The food took awhile because everything was made to order and they were slammed at lunch time. Especially the teriyaki chicken bowl. Presentation was beautiful and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant! Restaurant was small and only 3 people working there so I don't suggest it for large groups.

This was at 12:30PM and there was a long line out the door and around the corner, taking almost 30 minutes. I had previously visited on a rainy winter weekday for lunch and there wasn't a line at all. What a difference the day and weather can make! While in line we could see the chefs cutting up ahi fresh right in front. The longer line gave me time to chat with the owner as he was trimming off the skin and other bits. I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. Overall all the poke is fresh, the flavors all meld together into a delightful balanced bite, and the sauces are not overwhelming. Ono Poke definitely serves some great poke! Went for an oddly timed meal on a Saturday around 4PM and they still had all their poke options. There are about 6-8 tables in the store, but quite a few folks take their meals to go. It's definitely not the cheapest meal option, but the poke is absolutely delicious and the fish is unbelievably fresh I tried the Shoyu Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and the Hamachi; all of them were incredible. The Hamachi is only available on weekends and the fish is so fatty it almost melts in your mouth with the creamy and tangy sauce. The Shoyu Salmon is incredibly succulent and just a classic knocked out of the park with a great balance of fresh, salty, and slightly sweet. I'm normally a tuna hater, but the texture is excellent with a nice bite and great spice level.

There are no bells and whistles here, just excellent service, fair prices, and fantastic food. There are only a handful of tables, which is really meant for solo diners and two people at best. There is a handful of takeout patrons at any given time, but that's only because of the wait. It's far more enticing to sit in and experience the magic that exists in every bowl. Water is self-serve and thankfully presented in a filtered water tank that spits out cold, delicious water. A majority of the bowls are between $13-16 each, which in today's foodflation economy seems expected. The good news is that the portion is substantial in every bowl. My go-to is their chirashi, which is roughly $19 but features a nice array of fish cuts that include salmon, chopped fatty tuna, masago, fresh water eel, shrimp with albacore and another dose of tuna. The unagi don is their most expensive bowl at nearly $21, but the broiled unagi with the eel sauce that is dynamite. The textures, the sweetness, and the size is all on point. And due to its status as a teriyaki city, I think the chicken teri don is an excellent alternative to all the seafood. The teriyaki hits all the right flavor notes, with just enough sweetness with the tenderness of the chicken meat. Add in another $1 and it's a spicy version. I so wish there was something like this in my neck of the woods. If I lived in Seattle, this would be a weekly destination. I'm already looking forward to my next visit(s).
