pretty standard american food in cap hill, we came for happy hr which has a condensed version of their regular menu. quinn's menu is quite burger heavy, which is good if youre looking for a burger. we opted for the caesar salad, which was on the happy hour menu. it's a pretty average salad, tossed well with dressing, but didn't have much else in it. we also ordered the steak frites, and that day they subbed it with a ribeye, which we ordered medium rare. it was cooked well and very tender! it came with fries that were crispy and seasoned soooo deliciously, and fried brussel sprouts that also tasted really good but was little bit oily. we also got the carrot cake, which was yummy, not too sweet, on the denser side. to note: they do have a menu of $3-5 drinks that happen all day, which is kind of a steal for cap hill. read more

We had a nice mini reunion for a couple we had not seen in months. They had been off to Africa and many far off lands. And Quinn's was the perfect place for it. It's in a convenient spot in Pike-Pine and parking is pretty easy in the early evening. We got there at 5pm and the Happy hour is great. The service is friendly and we had a nice beer, but the highlight were things like the bone marrow which was excellent. Also the burger was really good. The cocktails were also excellent as well. Quinn's! What an awesome pub with a great old school vibe. Also their prices are damn good. How have their fish and chips not gone viral yet? Not only do they have the best $5 margarita in town (I have them add lychee for an extra $1), but their fresh cut fish and chips are massive and crisped to perfection. Makes me feel like im in London again, but this might be even better than that. The fries are my favorite cut too. Highly recommend coming in during happy hour, it's quiet but most of their menu is heavily discounted. I've also tried the spicy Korean chicken sandwich in the past and it was delicious too. I went for some drinks during Capitol Hill Block Party- like many others, I could not pass up a $5 drink. I saw the long line and low price and had low expectations, so I was IMPRESSED. The line moved so fast. They had someone at the door for ID check, then 4-5 bartenders working at all times. So efficient. You can tell these servers are professional, experienced, and get things DONE. I also did not really expect a pre-mixed $5 margarita to be very good, so I was impressed that it was actually delightful. Working a festival with huge volume probably is not fun, but the way they kept the line going, drinks flowing, and everything clean and orderly impressed me. Walked in during happy hour and we were surprised how empty it was. It's a cute place, and the happy hour specials are amazing ($5 drinks - food specials were not as discounted). Our bartender, Peter, was great. In addition to bartending, he also served food not just to the bar but other tables. I found this place on a nice Saturday afternoon exploring the Capitol Hill area. It had good vibes and plenty of seating at the bar. Immediately upon entering the bartender said hello and gave me a nice cold glass of water. And handed me a menu with the happy hour selections. Happy hour!! Yes please! A $5 glass of rose and $7 Mac and cheese? Yes please! I can tell this is a hot spot in the neighborhood. Excellent location for people watching and drinking. The happy hour menu had excellent food choices. The Mac and cheese was a perfectly sized meal. With little crunchy bread crumbs on top. Water glass never emptied, and a large clean bathroom. Would definitely come back for a burger. Parking in the neighborhood is not too bad if you don't mind walking a few blocks. Plenty of parking structures/lots around. A fun spot! Enjoy your life! I've been to Quinn's many times since they first opened and have always had great experiences. The food is good, the drinks well curated, and the service friendly and attentive. A few years ago, we had our wedding reception at the Sole Repair Shop next door and got to interface quite a bit with Quinn's. If you've never been, think "upscale pub." A lot of the standard fare but elevated. Also big windows, wood walls, and steel. A few notables from our last few ventures: -The Old Fashioned cocktails are very strong. A good balance of sweetness and bitters and a nice burn from the bourbon. On our most recent trip we also had the house margarita. The mix on this was a bit off, it tasted watery. They used to have a cucumber based vodka drink ("My Dirty Secret") that was excellent but that was in the late 00s. -The Scottish Egg was great. A unique offering and perfect example of the "elevated" pub fare. -The Brussel sprouts were excellent. They were charred and then dressed. Nutty with notes. -The Bone marrow was decent but not great. There was a nice fattiness but the onion jam didn't quite balance this. -I ordered the Blue Cheese Burger. It was delicious. Perfectly cooked and the perfect balance of garnishes (bacon, blue cheese). My husband ordered the Korean Spicy Chicken Sandwich. This was also amazing. Moist and spicy and very flavorful. A must try! Both these came with fries. The fries were fine--I'd prefer a frite (something crisper). -We had carrot cake for dessert. Before heading to a Seattle Mariners game, my husband and I came to Quinn's for happy hour to enjoy some beverages and some bites to eat. We all know that food out a baseball game is extremely expensive - not to mention the cost of alcoholic beverages - so we decided to enjoy all that Quinn's had to offer for happy hour. I will say - their different iterations of Moscow mules from peach to blueberry to strawberry were out of this world and I could drink those on a daily basis. I wouldn't, but I could! My favorite by far was the blueberry Moscow Mule with strawberry coming in second and peach in third. Beverages aside - we thoroughly enjoyed the poutine fries and the wild boar sloppy Joe. The "Bourrata" for $15 is what I consider to be a perfectly balanced dish - complementary flavors and textures in a pleasing presentation. The very fresh and gooey bourrata is drizzled with EVOO with flavorful basil, while the generous serving of prosciutto is thinly sliced and boldly flavored, with the crostini adding a perfect crunch. Everything in just the right proportion. Also had the Spanish shrimp, which had just the right amount of heat in the rich buttery sauce with chili flakes and paprika. The food was pretty good and honestly probably above average for pub food. I had the pretzel and the fries and a Missed Opportunity cocktail. I liked it but there were very few vegetarian items on the menu aside from those two, which was disappointing and my main reason for the rating. The service was good, especially as I was there with a large group for an event upstairs. Our server was great! There was a bit of an oops when another staff (not the server) tried to pass my fries over to me via the table next to us rather than going around the big table and the sauces fell on me, but I was able to clean it off and move on with the event. The ambiance was a good fit for the event and it was kind of cool to sit in the loft area and look out the huge factory glass windows. I think it was an off day. Trips back home to Seattle consist of hitting spots ive frequented while living in the city for 6 years. I've been craving the wild boar sloppy Joe here for a good while now and whoa the kitchen forgot the flavor. No salt no nothing. The sauce was bland and nonexistent. I had to check to see if there was sauce on the meat and boy there was something on it but it literally had no flavor. I had already taken 2 bites to see if my taste bites were playing me but no. The Caesar salad I had ordered had more flavor. Took the L and didn't want to send it back because there was only 1 person manning the whole place up front. Stop #3 on our Capital Hill bar hopping tour. We randomly selected Quinn's as one of us wanted a Jager bomb. We found room at the bar and discovered they don't have Jägermeister or Energy drinks there. The cool bartended offered to make us "Fun Shots" as an alternative. We had no idea what they were but were now feeling adventurous so we ordered them. They ended up being a large shot sized drink with vodka, strawberry puree(?), lemon, ginger & soda water. They were really yummy and fit the bill. The receipt shows well drinks and martini which seems to be how they charge for the drinks. Again, we made friends with our bar mates and ended up finding we had a lot in common. We chatted and drank for awhile and took pix, shared wisdom and bought drinks for each other. My favorite thing to get is to ask for the Caesar salad (amazing) and add the fried chicken from their sandwiches on top. The chicken is so juicy and crispy and Caesar's not overly dressed. My partner loves to get their burger medium rare. They do overdo the burger sometimes so if you like it more rare, err on that side. The drinks are amazing. Go to's are the strawberry mule (which they use real strawberry syrup w the seeds) and the mojito which is super minty. On a recent trip to Seattle, I got to sample multiple fine bars and restaurants. Out of all of them, Quinn's was my favorite. It's not the fanciest, the most expensive, nor the prettiest. There's not even much of a view. But, what it does have is that bustling ambiance emblematic of big cities, with a fun-loving, well earning, gregarious crowd. All of its classic dishes from fish 'n chips, to poutine, to a chicken sandwich were well executed and well portioned. The drinks were stiff and the wine list was well selected. The staff was super friendly too. Even when the bar was three people deep, they kept calm and worked down all the orders. We had an amazing dinner at Quinn's on my recent girls trip to Seattle! The neighborhood is adorable, so highly recommend walking around before or after your reservation. Cocktail menu was fun with a good variety. Personally I like my cocktails to be light or fruity and not taste much like alcohol and that's exactly what I got with the Missed Opportunity, a gin and elderflower cocktail! My friend got the When The Sun Goes Down which is basically a Moscow Mule and she was happy with it. For dinner, we split the fried Brussels, oysters, beet salad, and the hanger steak. The Brussels were topped with a chili lime vinaigrette that added brightness, along with some spiced peanuts for crunch -- yum. Beet salad was fresh and hearty, and the oysters were fresh. Finally, the hanger steak was cooked to perfection and the potatoes were whipped silky smooth. We were absolutely stuffed but thought it was the perfect amount of food. Cool bar with food options. They did close a little early per typical bar times of 12am. We had a great gal who hooked it up with the crostinis while we were finishing up our pâté. Service - great. They checked up on us a good amount of time. We got a table at the front and could people watch while we drank and ate. Food - fish and chips were good. The fish was moist but also crispy which was great. The fries were as expected! Pâté was interesting. I think it needed that pepper kick that is usually present, but it seems they took a sweet approach as there was a kind of jelly on top.
