a sandwich and a bowl of soup on a table
    Zac A.

This little hole in the wall was such a great find! The ambiance is very comforting and relaxing. We stopped in for a bite before a concert at Climate Pledge. They were super busy, but we got a table within 5 minutes. Soon after a waitress came over and greeted us and took our drink orders. I believe she was the only waitress working that night and boy was she busy! Service wasn't the fastest, but I cannot blame her one bit. On top of it all, she had a great attitude and was incredibly friendly and personable!! Drinks were good and the food was better! Sometimes truffle popcorn has too much truffle flavoring, but this popcorn was right on the spot. The sandwich was also incredible! The bartender or manager actually was the one who took our food order and even let us know timeline wise how long it would be so we wouldn't be late for the concert! The whole experience was very enjoyable and we will definitely return. This place is a great find!!

Cool place and good food. Casual vibe with a tasty menu. Home like on a Friday night like a kid from the 70's. Pigs in a Blanket was bomb! Chicken Pot pie was good. Salad my bro said was good, crab dip was great too! Fun place good tunes in the background!

Got the rotating lemonade with vodka in it! Delicious. Service was great as well. They have a great dive-bar ambiance and I would recommend sitting on the couches if you can!

Neat little place with a relaxed Seattle vibe that you'll either love or not love! I imagine if it's super busy it might be a little slow, both food and service, in our case it was timely in both areas. It was seat yourself when we arrived, which always makes me nervous! It takes attentive staff to properly serve tables they have no idea are seated! The bartender did a great job though, catching all the tables on his continuous circles through the seating area. We stayed awhile so got to see the night staff arriving and the place filling up. The entire staff was super friendly and checked on us regularly. The wings, the perfect, wings! We ordered several appetizers between the two of us to get a sampling of what they had to offer. Everything was spot on and delicious with some great flavors. The first order of wings was perfection on a plate! Hubby and I gobbled them up pretty fast! We then had to order more, they were that good! Sadly, the second order came out a little under cooked. Same great flavor but definitely needed a few more minutes of heat! The drinks are creative and tasty with some different combinations and names that make you want to try them. From the food to the service and the window seat sidewalk watching, we'll definitely be back when we're in the neighborhood!

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged. I highly recommend trying it out at least once. All in all, highly recommend! Please go try Tilikum Place Cafe!

Overall, it's worth a visit - just make a reservation and come for the Dutch babies. I was told there are seasonal Dutch babies so try again sometime in June maybe. Fairly cozy restaurant with a back portion for events or more seating during busier meals. We tried the following - Karaage wings - quite umami, a hint of curry and spices, does not really look like chicken wings - Blasted broccoli - delicious with the lemon aioli on the side. A little overcooked but a nice take on the broccolini that is usually prepared in this manner - Duck breast - I liked the meat itself - very flavorful, but I didn't like the reduction and the sage leaves did not add much flavor - Pork belly - very hearty. The chimichurri kind of clashes with the flavor a bit but cuts down the heavy fat. Potato texture was a bit interesting - Sumac hummus and cucumbers - a healthy option off happy hour. Nice that it was served with flatbread - Cracked olive salad - a bit pickly, I personally do not like olives in this manner but my friend enjoyed it - Citrus Paradisi - quite a strong cocktail, but not quite well-balanced. For $13, it was satisfactory for alcohol strength, but quality could be improved Service is decent as food was brought in a timely manner and we did not need to wait long to get the bill, etc.

Wow, this review is 8 years old! I want to share my experience with Some Random Bar…read more In 2017, my mom and I visited Seattle for me to look at apartments and interview for jobs. We came here to eat because it was near our hotel. I was OBSESSED with the crab nachos. 2 months later, I moved out here all on my own. Now, 8 years later, I live nearby. Whenever someone is visiting, we come here. Whenever I run into a stranger visiting, i say they have to come here. My friends know if i'm celebrating anything, "are you getting crab nachos?!" It's become a part of my personality at this point. I have so much respect for the owners, the way they run their business and their honesty online. No one I've brought here has had a bad thing to say regardless of what they ordered. My go to is: Pull apart bread, crab nachos (with their hot sauce!! which, btw can i buy that by the bottle.. cause YUM) + whatever drink is calling my name (they rotate, but if you can get the pina colada you won't regret it). tldr; you'll regret NOT coming here.

I underestimated the attractiveness of Happy Hour where many drinks are $1 to $3 off. The place was full and became even fuller (and louder) by the end of our meal. This bar is hopping with many regulars, alcohol-filled, with multiple screens televising sports. When we went in October, the food menu says the food is discounted 25% off during certain late hours. The current online menu doesn't say that anymore. Not sure if that deal is still available. Our server was easygoing. Note they charge 3% for credit card use. The Food: SRB Burger, $22 - 3 Stars Menu: Painted Hills beef, burrata mozzarella, basil aioli, arugula, pickled onions, hand cut fries Per the menu description, this burger sounded great. Unfortunately for hubby, this burger has the exact pet peeve that he dislikes the most - where the patty is small and tall (he calls it ball shape) compared to the bun. The patty diameter is significantly smaller than the bun. He literally hates that. I had to tilt the camera much lower to see the patty inside. On the plus side, the fries are great. Grilled Shrimp Club, $24 - 3.5 Stars Menu: bacon, lettuce, tomato, house made guacamole, roasted chipotle aioli, hand cut fries This club sandwich is very good except for the one thing that the menu didn't specify - the bun. They use ciabatta bread, which I find doughy, thick, and overwhelms a sandwich. That is my pet peeve for a sandwich. Neither of us is betting well on this night. They are probably more of a 3.5 Stars overall. We find their prices to be high, especially since they additionally charge a credit card fee. When we went, the cost was $21, $23 respectively. The prices are now $22 and $24 per online menu. I would not return for food only. I would return for a bar vibe.

Aerlume is right next to Pike's Place, so finding parking may be a challenge but don't let that discourage you from trying it out. Service was amazing and the food was really good too. While waiting for my appetizer, the chef brought me a steak sashimi amuse bouche that was absolutely delicious!! My mouth is watering thinking about it. I kept it light with the citrus marinated beets as my appetizer. Although I don't usually eat beets, I thought this dish was so good! For my main course, I got the C.A.B. filet mignon. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything tasted so good together. I was amazed by the how thick the asparagus was! I did inhale my food quite fast so I passed on dessert in favor of hot tea, but their dessert selection also sounded yum. I regret not getting the carrot cake. The congee was a perfect thickness, with flavors you don't usually have in congee...but it works! It's a nice and light way to start the meal. It's a shame that you don't see pork shank on more restaurant menus, because it is a criminally underrated cut of meat. The shank at Aerlume falls completely off the bone with just a nudge of your fork. The rich savory flavor of the meat is perfectly complemented by the sauce and the chutney, which brightens it all up and keeps it from becoming overly heavy in your mouth and stomach. Brussels on the side are your standard incredibly crispy sprouts. We also ordered the bread and butter off the a la carte menu, just to try. The breads are excellent, and you can definitely taste the ube in the ube butter, but in my opinion this is one of those cases where adding ube just isn't necessary. They did forget about our bread, so this didn't show up for us until we asked about it most of the way through our meal. The dessert duo is made up of a square of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and a chocolate crunch bar -- devastatingly smooth chocolate mousse on top of a thin crunchy wafer with raspberry sauce on the side. I appreciated the variety of flavors and textures. It was the perfect way to round out the meal. We had an excellent meal, accompanied by great service. It would be a perfect spot for a celebratory dinner, or to take parents to when they visit town.
