Quaint and cozy speakeasy bar in the lower Queen Anne area. I've been to this bar a few times and have enjoyed their drinks and ambience. This bar is in the MarQueen Hotel and is popular stop for pre or post show/event drinks. They have a decent food list, however their forte are the prohibition style and spirit forward cocktails. Keeping with their namesake and theme, their cocktail menu references both Ford Model A and Model T classics. Their bartenders are skilled and can easily mix a drink that's not even on the menu (given that the ingredients are available). I ordered a Vieux Carre and was impressed at how accurately my drink was made. I've also had the Old Fashioned, Sidecar, Espresso Martini, and Manhattan. The interior is classy. This lounge has tin ceilings, tufted leather chairs, and dark wood floors. Overall vibes are chill and stylish. Service was friendly and accommodating. A classy, intimate spot with cushy seating and friendly staff. Visited with some friends on a Friday evening and were seated quickly. Tried the violet hour, espresso martini and old fashioned- all were absolutely delicious. That night the lounge was hosting an event with a poet at one of their tables, and patrons could sit there and receive a typewritten poem. Appears like they have some interesting events. I'm still building up to more bourbon drinks so this one was pretty good as far as that goes, and more an indictment on me than the drink. The other three were all very very tasty and more my style. This place has potential for sure but it's missing customer service completely. My husband and I went in before a concert at the Climate Pledge, we decided to go in for some drinks a light food as it was recommended to us and looked cute. They were almost full but got a s eat at the bar, we understood they were busy and did not expect fast service but we also didn't expect to wait after one of the employees, a woman, was serving walk ins to the bar instead of us, who had been sitting there for about 20 minutes. She finally took our order and a table opened up, we moved to said table and she took our food order. Long story short, she never brought our food, after a while she disappeared but that happens sometimes when they go on break or leave so we get it. 45 minutes and still nothing, my husband got up and noticed a couple at the bar, eating. He looked at the food and asked the couple what that was and check this out, it was OUR FOOD! They said they got there and a server asked if they wanted the food for free as nobody could figure out whose food it was, with us, seating right there. We spoke to a service and he said our server left and left no instructions and they didn't know whose food it was. Now, while it was not his fault, he could've asked (there was now only 2 tables left) He said he didn't know and that was it, my husband said this was bs and we got our drink for free, honestly, I didn't care about that, I was very angry and disappointed. We stopped in here for a drink after dinner and loved the stylish vibe and craft cocktails. We just walked in off the street on impulse, attracted by the name, and were greeted by a friendly bartender who showed us to a perfect little table tucked away in a corner. The decor immediately reminded me of a Hemingway era with the leather chairs, color palate, and artwork. Our server was really friendly, and our drinks came out quickly. The husband of mine was particularly pleased with his Moscow Mule properly served in a copper cup. While we only stayed for a short bit, it was relaxing and chill. It's better when it's a really nice place run by professionals and has a local clientele, that gives for interesting conversations. F.-, the bartender manager, is one of the most amazing people at the Tin Lizzie. She makes me feel at home. I show up, I am handed my Hendrick's and Tonic and I sit back and enjoy the live music. I am always happy to spend my cash here. Honestly, every Friday night is an experience. Sure, you can go to any bar, but when I head to the Tin Lizzie, I am transported to a time when sincerity reined supreme. Honestly, F-.,is one of the most hard working, genuine individuals I just freaking love. She is this amazing ray of sunshine and genius, she creates an amazing atmosphere that makes you feel alive!!! I save people from foreclosure for a living, I protect people's investment. And when I do, a little sense of wonder is removed from me and I am filled with a kind of reality that is hard to escape from. First off, do not acknowledge reviews over 2 years old. The Lounge changed owners during the pandemic. I was never there pre pandemic but we were visiting last week and I noticed as I was driving by on the bus. The published hours are wrong. They are most definitely open on a Wednesday and I am so happy they were. We had dinner around the block and walked by on the way home and went in. Classy. Unique. Welcoming. Cool. Zac is a true master of mixology who is interested in YOUR taste. No rush. Smooth and courteous. Considers your taste and wants to surprise you. We popped in here while walking to Kerry Park. Cute decorations, decent drinks, liked the music selection but as soon as more than two tables sat down, the noise was so loud that it was difficult to even have a conversation. It's definitely 3.5 worthy but I'm not sure if I'd make the effort to come here again, anytime soon. My book club bestie and I came here for Friday evening, after work drinks. We got there around 7:30pm and oddly enough the place was closing at 10pm. We found this to be so strange because they're usually open til 2am. Folks kept coming in and were getting shooed out because they were "closed." At any rate, the dranks were strong and delicious. We had a few noms of bread and crab cakes, nothing special. The service was a little weird but it could've just been an off night, who knows. I do have to say, the space is stellar, the location is everything Queen Anne represents, and the hotel where the Tin Liz is located is pretty swanky. 6/5/21 Update. Finally, open again after 15 months. My neighborhood place and in my top two in Seattle. Literally steps from my condo. Drinks Always a treat of top-shelf and custom craft cocktails. Everyone is very knowledgeable and you'll always get a great drink. The drink menu rotates (or did, there are new owners and Tin Lizzie has only been open again for two days) and the bartender will listen to you and make you something you like. They have a wide range of liquor choices, wine pours, as well as local beers. Food TBD. The kitchen isn't currently open. In the past, it was a great set of small bites and simple meals. Ambiance Small, cozy with little corners for quiet conversations. Bonus tip: They have two back rooms that can be rented out or used for larger parties. Entertainment TBD. Pre-covid there was live music once or twice a week. Great space for it and a nice variety. I'll post updates as things evolve. read more

I am soo glad I finally made it into this place. I'd pass by here so often and had finally made time to stop by when COVID hit and life changed drastically. Needless to say, I've stopped by the front desk a few times over the course of the year to see when this place would reopen. Imagine my surprise last weekend when I found out they were not only open again but have been since June!! The lounge is located inside of the hotel to the right side once you come inside. I love the feel of the lobby (big fan of old hotels). I came in soon after the lounge opened so the place wasn't crazy busy. There's what I'd call the main room and then another smaller room down the hallway once you enter the lounge. I grabbed a seat at the bar and got to chatting with the bartender. They're not serving anything other than some light snacks at the moment. I had the Last Word, a concoction by the wonderful bartender, a French 75, and a taste of the Sidecar, all of which were quite delicious! This is honestly my new favorite cocktail place in Seattle and highly recommend it everyone! read more

Such a great spot for drinks! I didn't see a cocktail on the menu that struck my fancy (I'm more of a whiskey fan but it seemed heavier on vodka and gin drinks). Though the bartender was super helpful in asking me a couple questions to make an off-menu whiskey sour with egg white. It was perfect! Have never had it with egg white and now I can't go back. I saw quite a few people commenting on the pace of making drinks. Given it was a quiet night when we visited, it seems like they put a lot of care when bartending which makes for delicious drinks. In my opinion, that's worth the wait. Thanks to the recommendation of another yelper, we then walked across the street to Tolouse Petit for dinner (also a gem!). I give this place 4 stars. I frequently go to Toulouse Petit for dinner just across the street and was looking for a new cocktail spot to try prior. This place is very cute and casual. The seating arrangements are cozy. I had two cocktail that were light fresh and flavorful (basil and blueberry... yum!) we also ordered the crab dip which was rich and satisfying. My boyfriend and I tried to get drinks here tonight. I should mention that my boyfriend is black and was the only non-white patron in the bar. The white bartender brought us waters and a menu without welcoming us or making eye contact with us. Not a problem, she seemed to be the only person on staff, and we were sure she was busy. We continued assuming that she was busy as she made the rounds to the other patrons without returning to our table. However, after she spent full minutes chatting with a white couple who arrived after we had, and after she visited their table twice to check on them without coming over to take our drink orders or acknowledge us in any way, we realized our patronage was not wanted. I was really excited to visit this lounge and loved the ambiance. After 12 minutes of waiting to place our drink orders, my boyfriend and I left to find a bar where the staff would acknowledge our existence. read more

This is our favorite place for craft cocktails and eats in the city. The bartenders Isaac and Adam are very personable and makes amazing drinks. The ambiance of this place is second to none; a true prohibition-style bar you can tuck into a corner of and let time melt away. The bartenders create perfect cocktails. The cocktails take more time than I'd like to come out. However, when it's a full house like it was on Friday and there are only two bartenders I don't hold speed against them. In fact, they are super friendly and calm under pressure. The drinks are a good price for a Friday night with live music. The atmosphere is a vintage 50's lounge with nooks fitting for couples to chat, small separate areas where groups can hold a conversation away from the noise at the bar. Most bars these days are into open concept space layouts but the Tin Lizzie defies that entire idea. I like it. The music on Friday night was cool. They had a live singer who belted ballads from Natalie and Nat King Cole, Michael Buble'( more modern jazz), and Frank Sinatra. I'm not sure if they do live music every Friday, but I had a great time and would return again. read more

Wow, this place has really gone downhill. Last time we came in at 11:35 PM and there were a few other people enjoying drinks at tables, but no one was behind the bar. We waited 15 minutes, almost ready to walk out, when the bartender finally appeared to let us know that "last call was 15 minutes ago." It was Saturday night, and the sign said they're open until 2. They have also drastically pared down the drink menu from what it once was, and the bartenders just aren't as knowledgeable or friendly as they used to be. read more

We came strictly for the flamenco guitarist but I have heard word of Tin Lizzie and have been meaning to have an excuse to check it out at some point. The guitarist was exceptional, similar to the quality I heard while studying in Spain, and very friendly and sociable. The lounge itself is pretty cool. Lots of interesting, intimate, and comfortable seating. We didn't try any of the food this time but it looked pretty good. We got the Orange Manhattan which was nice and strong. I would give zero stars if it were an option. My husband and I came to The Tin Lizzie Lounge for happy hour one evening in January. I was really looking forward to showing my husband the space as I have frequented it a handful of times and enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. We ordered drinks and the "Gluten Free Crab Cake" as printed on the menu. I am Celiac, which means I have a severe allergy to gluten. I was excited to see something on the menu that was labeled 'Gluten Free.' I started to feel sick later that evening and called back to confirm that the crab cake was in fact gluten free, as that was the only plate we shared. Much to my dismay, I was informed that the crab cake was in fact not gluten free as labeled. The bar tender who served us said they "ran out of them so they got new crab cakes that are not Gluten free" he also said "I knew this was going to be an issue and even said something to management". Not his fault. When a person with Celiac eats gluten, there is irreversible damage done to the intestines as the body cannot break down gluten. I was violently ill that evening and the next day causing me to miss a day of work. This was negligent and completely irresponsible on the part of the restaurant. Could I have double checked prior to eating? Yes. My complaint is that I check with everything I eat and I should feel safe enough to order something that says Gluten Free on it. What if I had a peanut allergy and ordered the peanut free sauce later to find it actually had peanuts in it?! 2 simple options they could have taken: - reprint the menu - if you can't afford to reprint menus, take a sharpie and cross it out. I called the manger that evening and have yet to receive a call back. A manager contacted me by email and offered me a refund and a gift card - I declined the gift card as I will not be returning to the establishment. She then said she'd have her supervisor reach out, as it was beyond her ability to resolve. Still, no one has reached out beyond that. I waited to review as I was hoping this would have been taken care of. Alas, nothing has been done to resolve this. I'm not even sure if they have changed their menus or not. read more

Walk in and walk back into the 1920s. The first thing I thought was "this isn't your ordinary restaurant." There were no four-top tables, everything was low lounge furniture (couches and chairs) and lower still tables. Beyond the classy bar at one end of the first room was another room of banquettes and the swankiest TV tables you ever saw. The menu is upscale sandwiches, soups and salads. I had the burger. It was presented with the burger on a bun, and two pieces of lettuce with some heirloom cherry tomatoes sliced in half. At first I thought "Where's the fries?" or the burger add-ons. I added the lettuce and after one bite into the burger realized that this burger needed NOTHING else to taste amazing. We shared a bowl of the beef curry soup - delicious! Spicy, but not overwhelming, and no coconut milk. Kelly our server, the ambiance, the menu and the whole theme were really fun. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I really want to like this place. It's close-by, seems like a good alternative to the douche-fest that is perpetualy Pesos and Toulouse Petit, decor looks pretty good. The drinks aren't bad, generally overpriced but fairly stiff. And no tap beer? That's unheard of for a Seattle bar. The music is way too loud. The seats are crammed way too close together. The food is good, not great. But the main complaint is the service. I've tried this place three times. The first time, they'd just opened. So I'll excuse them on that visit. The other two though...I've had drinks forgotten but still put on my tab, ordered food that never arrived and wasn't even on my tab, been ignored for 20 minutes with nothing but water and a menu offered, and then glared at when I flagged a server down to try to place an order. It doesn't matter what how busy your staff is, how good your food is, or how unique your decor is. If you can't serve a paying costumer in a decent amount of time, you are worthless as a business. The bartenders are overworked and grouchy, the girls working are nice to look at but dumb as a box of rocks. I won't go back, and neither should you. Maybe if the whole staff gets overhauled with people that can actually work a busy bar, I'd try again. Maybe. But probably not. read more
