Almost don't want to share this place because it's such a hidden gem. I love how cozy and hidden it is.. There are plenty of wines to try and most of them are spain, france, etc. Decor is really cute too and they play different music everytime we go. We order food from the next door such as brie sandwich and bring it here to enjoy with wine. We brought our dog and they were super friendly as well! Everyone was knowledgeable with the wines and generous with their service!

My gal and I absolutely adore this place. South Park is definitely an underrated 'hood within our fair city (but I think the residents prefer it that way). One of the great things about this place is a knowledgeable owner/curator and the fact he focuses ONLY on natural wines. We were in heaven-- the tasting cost is quite reasonable and the bottles are worth the money (albeit not necessarily cheap) because they're next-level bottles. You won't find Chateau Ste Michelle here (sorry?).

Great addition to the neighborhood! Fun, eclectic wine selections, and helpful bartender! Small indoors but nice outdoor seating as well.

BEST IDEA EVER. It was legitimately one of the best dinners I have ever had. There were 9 courses total, and everything the chef brought out was incredible. The service was wonderful and personal and attentive from the chef to the bartender to the wine director. So while I already would recommend this place to any serious fan of Italian cuisine, I cannot speak highly enough of the Nonnakase experience. Absolutely worth every penny. Also the bathrooms are delightful. Great vibe, don't miss out.

And then I recalled why I didn't want to come back from the first experience. First, the location is unique, and I really appreciate that this business is trying to keep Georgetown alive with cool quirky places to eat. This def fits the bill. But, I couldn't help but notice the political statement taped to the front window, super classy. I dine out to escape my day. I don't need it thrown in my face at dinner. Next, when the menus were brought to us, it was for their 3 course restaurant week special. $50 per person, and there are two choices per course. My family all chose what we wanted and then waited for the meal. Like previous reviewers, the wine is brought out in oversized shot glasses not really, but might as well be). I get that in Italy, dinner wine (peasant fare) is served in cups, not stemware, but $18 for mediocre wine, I'd like to see a more appropriate pour. Lamb Polpettine was essentially lamb meatballs on a cold and very loose polenta with what was described as salsa diavola, but it was essentially a chunky red sauce. There was nothing about this that wowed us. In fact, it was pretty bland overall and underwhelming. But the manner in which you are greeted and served at the restaurant and the remainder of service, you would think it was going to change how you felt about food. I don't even want to go into the salad. Again, underwhelming. The mains came out and although tasty, the portions were very small compared to the price we paid. And if you opt for the truffle, it's finely grated and it covers the entire plate. Also, it's an extra $12......for less than $2 worth of black truffle. It absolutely ruined the dish. An educated server would be able to caution against it, if, of course it wasn't intended to raise the final price, essentially raising the tip. If you order risotto there, be fair warned, it is extremely loosed and not very well made imo. Bland, lacks imagination, and the rice grains were cracked and soggy on the ends and crunchy in the middle.. Last was the dessert. Again, it was tasty, but it comes in these tiny jars that equal about 2-3 spoonfuls of either panna cotta, or tiramisu. At the end of our meal, the bill was over $250. For that price, I could have eaten somewhere where I could have left a little more satisfied and felt like I was actually in an upscale restaurant, not a political statement masquerading as fine dining. Having worked food for a long time, I felt obligated to leave the customary 20% gratuity knowing full well the workers there made their "living wage" before the gratuity kicks in. It included an additional 2% to pay for employee health insurance. Isn't that an employer cost? Why put that on the check? Anyway, out the door for $300 and vowing never to come back. Buyer beware.

Who knew people were producing wine in South Park, I didn't until a few months ago. This past Saturday being the second Saturday of the month I decided to grab a friend and head down to South Park to taste their wines. It's in an industrial warehouse so don't expect a cute cozy tasting room but expect to taste next to the equipment and barrels which is always cool. For my $5.00 this past Saturday I was able to taste eight of their wines. I enjoyed three of them the other five were just OK but none made me go OMG this is good. The '05 Syrah, '04 Kestrel and '05 Conner Lee were my favorites that day, each of them different but with a big berry taste, I must have been in the mood for berries Saturday. As we all know everyone's palette is different so you may go and enjoy all eight. Tim the winemaker and Carol his wife were on site to answer any questions you had about their wines, Washington vineyards, or other wineries in the area. They've been making wine for distribution since 2001, prior to that they were what one would consider to be home wine makers. If it's a second Saturday and you're down in South Park check out Nota Bene cellars you might learn something new about wine. The one odd thing to me was before you could taste you had to fork over your $5.00, I know I have to pay but it was a little cold to be forced to pay before having a chance to pretty much look at the wines. Oh and if you decide to buy a bottle like most other vineyards your $5.00 tasting fee will go towards your purchase, I didn't buy anything here.

If you're anywhere near West Seattle, Burien, or White Center, it's worth going out of your way to visit. First off, the vibe is perfect. It somehow manages to feel cozy and intimate while also being a little sexy and elevated, the kind of place you can stop by casually with your dog after a walk or stay for hours catching up with friends over great wine. One of the things that really makes Wolfpack special is the hospitality. One of the owners, James, is always there and always incredibly welcoming and friendly. You can tell how much care goes into the place and it creates such a warm, neighborhood feel. The wine is fantastic across the board. The sparkling rosé is a must-order, it's seriously amazing. We also love their whites and the Syrahs, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They also have great non-alcoholic options and frosé, which makes it easy for everyone to enjoy. Another thing I love is how connected they are to the community. You can join the Wolfpack Wine Club for exclusive events, but they also host tons of fun events open to the neighborhood, things like puppy socials, Feather & Pages nights, wine & ice events, and more. It always feels lively without being crowded. It's also dog-friendly and kid-friendly, which is rare for a wine spot and makes it feel like a true community gathering place. Great wine, amazing people, and a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Wolfpack Cellars is one of White Center's absolute gems.
