I visited a friend in West Seattle from Las Vegas, and we stopped by Walter's Wine Shop. It did not disappoint. It is a perfect little wine and coffee shop that is inviting and smells of coffee and pastries. They have a philosophy with a strong hospitality foundation and a culture of community where all are welcome. And they did not stray from their core mission. From the staff and the owner, Chris made us feel welcome, and you genuinely felt they cared about their guests. Chris, a master sommelier (less than 270 in the WORLD), and his staff are great at answering questions about their selections of wine. The significant part of this place is that it's not intimidating, and questions are encouraged! They also have coffee, but I still need to sample. Next time!

This place is so wonderful and there isn't really anything like it in west Seattle. They've also got really good food and snacks.

Came here the past couple Fridays to get my weekend started and closing out a work week. There are several beers and some ciders on tap from all around and all the ipa's I've tried here have been pretty decent. from there you grab your brew and have a seat at high top tables within the tap room. Again, the setting is mid-sized good for a couple groups of four and a few two person tables. Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. Perhaps on subsequent visits It will improve, and I can boost the score here, but besides the decent beers and setting, it's just OK here.

One of the best bottle shops in the country!…read more I've had many of Bottleworks' anniversary beers in the past because they always team up with stellar breweries to make them.. but before today I have never visited the famous shop. It's smaller than I imagined it to be but every beer inside, from the draft list to the cans and the bottles are carefully curated by the staff. We grabbed a quick beer (Hill Farmstead, which is the first time I've seen this brewery for sale in the since I started this trip 6 weeks ago and Ive been through 4 states) Then we shopped for some cans, we quickly had to refrain from buying too much as the refrigerator in our van only holds so much. We ended up with a six pack and then grabbed a mystery 4 pack on the way out (mystery 4 pack was stellar). While we're shopping they opened a sour from Jester King and shared it with us. I honestly wish I lived a bit closer (Las Vegas is kinda far) because I'd be here everyday... Honestly, they have a whole cooler just for barley wine! The staff are very knowledgeable about beer and are very hospitable. Thanks for a great experience!

The Ellsworth fried cheese curds are my favorite. The batter was nice and light and the sauces added to the experience. The smash burgers were awesome. Cooked well, seasoned to perfection, and still juicy. The cheese was melted properly and the bun was fresh! I am looking forward to my next visit already!!! Good service, great food!

From the first pour to the last bite, everything felt like it was exactly where it was supposed to be. The Brussels sprouts were unreal. The honey sriracha, cumin, and cilantro came together like a perfect little storm, and adding the fried chicken took them to another level. Each bite was a tiny reminder that life is better when you stop, look around, and appreciate the moment you're in. Then came the bacon grilled cheese, and I'm still trying to figure out how something so simple can taste so extraordinary. Hempler's bacon, beer cheese, fried Wisconsin cheese curds, smoky aioli, and Macrina sourdough--this sandwich had me questioning whether I'd ever truly understood grilled cheese before. The flavors danced around each other like they had been waiting years to meet. The whole experience felt like being carried somewhere peaceful, where the noise fades away and you're reminded that sometimes the best things happen when you surrender to the flow. The room was full of smiles, the beer was flowing, and everyone seemed to be sharing in the same little spark of joy. There was no need to search for something else, no need to wonder what could be better. The answer was right there in front of me. A perfect balance of chaos and calm, like standing beneath a divided sky and realizing both sides are beautiful. The Bine is the kind of place you leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and the feeling that maybe, just maybe, you found exactly what you were looking for. I'll be back soon for sure.
