The Bine is one of our favorite restaurants! Service is always top-notch and the staff is very friendly. Their tap list rotates frequently, but they have a large selection which means there's usually something for everyone. My one wish is that you could sample before committing. My go-to order is a bacon grilled cheese, but I remove the smoky aioli & ask for a side of serrano pepper jelly to dip it in instead. But everything on their menu is good, including their specials which change maybe every few months or so. Most recently we came in last night around ~7:20p w/ a group of 9 & were quickly seated at the big picnic table. Despite closing at 9p, the server let us order a monster cookie right as the kitchen was closing & let us stay a bit longer to finish our drinks/meals while they were closing up, letting us know we didn't need to rush. This was an awesome meal! We grabbed a seat at the bar and got some drinks. I tried the Superstition Cider, that is hands down the best cider I have ever tried. The food came out next. The Ellsworth fried cheese curds are my favorite. The batter was nice and light and the sauces added to the experience. The smash burgers were awesome. Such a cozy spot in an equally as charming location. Had a great time with my large group here and I hope to come again soon. Food & drink: (4/5) Ironically only one person in my six person group likes beer, with two others (including myself) who are turning around to it. With that being said, I got the american pie cider, two of my friends got various IPA's that I'm failing to remember names for, two others got root beer, and another got a kombucha. I really enjoyed my cider! It was refreshing and I would definitely get it again. As for food, we got fries with truffle oil and a monster cookie with vanilla ice cream. It was all so good! We've been coming to The Bine for a few years now. The food is always great. We've tried just about everything on the menu and it's all been great. For apps, the cheese curds are good and the brussels are to die for. My favorite side is the warm german style potato salad. My favorite thing about The Bine is the rotating tap list. My only reason for giving The Bine a 4/5 is that I wish there was a little more variation to the menu every now and then or even a few specials at once. We had lunch here last week and really loved the outdoor setting and delicious food! We popped in unannounced on a Friday for lunch and were lucky enough to get an outdoor table on a beautiful day. Our server was helpful with navigating the menu for gluten-free and knew about shared fryer contamination. Lots of things naturally gf are put in the shared fryer and eliminated those options, but we settled on the brussel sprout salad (which was more like a cheesy delicious bake then anything healthy!) and the tacos with corn tortillas. Great menu with so many amazing choices. So hard to choose just a few so that means we will have to come back! Plus, its a scratch kitchen, which means everything is made from scratch so it's all very flavorful and so good. Ordered the traditional german potato salad served hot and with vinegar. Very yummy and true to the traditional version. Really loved the pork tacos, especially because they were not greasy like most pork tacos, but full of flavor. There were many gluten-free options for me to choose from, including buns for their various burgers and sandwiches. Loved the ambience, and that the store fronts had huge windows that completely opened up, giving it fresh air and being a place I would seek out during nice weather. They also had a bunch of outdoor seating that was covered so even if it was raining or had the hot sun beating down, you would be protected from the elements, but still enjoy outside. Service was great! They went out of their way to make sure that they thoroughly answered any questions that I had, and were 100% certain on any of my gluten-free questions. They also checked on us quite a bit, and made sure that we always had what we needed. When you sit outside at a restaurant, many times, they seem to have forgotten about you, but that was not the case here. We got better service than we do most of the time when we eat inside restaurants. I would highly recommend checking it out. I'm sure you'll love it as much as we did. We arrived at 11:30 am on a Friday and were one of the first ones in when the doors opened. It was nice that we were seated right away. There were about six of us. The menu was slim picking and most of us ended up getting the burger. The burger was just okay even with the advertised beer cheese. I upgraded to truffle fries and paid an extra $4. It was okay. The meal wasn't memorable and it took about 30 - 40 mins to get the meal. The only thing memorable about this place was the service. The servers were really nice and even gave us a hefty plate of truffle fries after mistakenly giving one of our daughters regular fries instead of the truffle fries she ordered. Located near the UW Bothell area, this place is totally worth the stop. I came here for a quick bite and this was what I tried: Truffle Popcorn: 100/10!!! Ahhhh, this dish = so delicious! The amount of truffle was perfect and overall, I would totally eat this everyday if I could. If you end up having leftovers, I recommend taking it to go because it will stay just as yummy the next day. Pho Sandwich Dip: I will admit, I was a bit skeptical at this dish but after the first bite, I was pleasantly surprised at how it tasted like pho. If you're craving for some Asian fusion like dish, highly recommend trying this one out. Make sure you dipppppp your sandwich real good into the broth to bring out the pho-ish-ness :) Mac & Cheese: Loaded with yummy creamy cheese, this is definitely a nice dish to share given its richness. Couldn't finish it but still pretty tasty the next day. Burger & Side of Potatoes: Burger was good but it was the potatoes that shined the most. We came here for dinner on Friday night after seeing this place on yelp. We got there around 5 and only had a little bit of a wait. This place gets packed so get here early (especially if you want to do happy hour) or plan on waiting for a while. It's pretty small, with about 15 seats at the bar and around 8-10 tables inside plus a few more outside. We got there in time for happy hour (I think it went from 4-6) which got us $2 off beers and appetizers. We got the brussel sprouts (and added fried chicken), the tacos, a side of fries, and the fried chicken sandwich. My fiancé got an IPA and I got the blackberry lemonade cider (it was really good). The brussel sprouts were delicious, with the perfect amount of heat to them. The fried chicken was the perfect addition and was really tasty with the sauce/glaze in this dish. It was a fairly small order, and only had like 5-6 brussel sprouts which wasn't much. I would get this again but just know it's a small portion if you order it. I had a bite of the tacos and they were pretty good. My fiancé loved them and devoured them quickly. The fries weren't great. They almost seemed a bit undercooked on the inside from their texture (they were well cooked on the outside though) and were too firm on the inside. I wouldn't order these again. I got the fried chicken sandwich with the honey sriracha sauce and the German potato salad for a side. I split the sandwich with my fiancé and we both liked it but thought it was pretty greasy. The potato salad was very flavorful but a bit too acidic so I mostly just ate the bacon out of it. Service wasn't super friendly but was attentive and quick. I asked for lunch recommendations on a Bothell Foodies group, and a few people mentioned The Bine. It seemed like the kind of place my friend and I would like, so that's where we ended up. I got the sandwich special, which didn't sound like something I'd normally go for (chorizo meatloaf sandwich) but it was highly recommended by our server. It was really tasty- a little savory, a little spicy, and a little sweet. My friend had the Porchetta sandwich that had pesto along with a few other things, and she really liked it. The French fries are excellent. If you like the type they have at Dick's, these taste kind of like that, but crispier and a lot less greasy. They didn't taste like they were dropped into a deep fryer from a freezer bag, but I could be wrong.. They didn't have tartar or Ranch (which was fine), so our server provided us with a side of aioli that was perfect with the fries. Service in general was great. Food was served hot. Restaurants and restrooms were clean. It smelled SO garlicky and good in there. Extensive beer list. I would have loved to see a few non-alcoholic drinks that didn't come in a bottle or can (like ice tea made in-house). Indoor dining is available with proof of vaccination, and a nice covered outdoor space is provided for folks who prefer that. All in all, it was a great experience. Sorry I didn't get the name of the beer. The burger was very good, I wasn't going to eat the fries cut the swiftly disappeared- rehire the ones with the skin on them... totally addictive! I asked for tarter sauce and I got a smoked aoil that was out of this world. Last week I had the chicken with fried chicken with this yummy spicy sauce and the truffle popcorn.
