A small taproom with a good collection of beers. Staff here is very friendly and nice. The outdoor seating are good for people watching and fresh air. It's right at downtown Bothell so a good spot to hang out with people if you're around the area

For the love of craft beers, growlers, and your pooch. A night out in Bothell with your friends doesn't mean that your beloved canine companion will have to stay behind. Hop and Hound, located in downtown Bothell and just off SR522 is a dog friendly hop shop. They specialize in craft beers and growlers. In fact, you can even download their app on iTunes and Google Play to see what's on tap. For our first visit, I decided to try the Dragon Fruit cider. It was not too sweet or dry and perfectly solidified my decision to visit this shop again. I recommend checking out the hall of dog wall. You can even post your own picture with your canine companion. Check out the small selections of dog treats located by the counter. Though they don't have food on their menu board, there is a schedule of food trucks available on their website. This is definitely a good find and recommended for anyone who loves craft beers or dog lovers and owners alike.

    Nice selection

Are there heaters in the tent area? Thanks!

Hey Ryan. Yes! We have a couple heaters, a 55" TV and some new speakers jamming heavy rock tunes. Hope to see you soon. Cheers!

    Are kids allowed?

Hi Angela- We operate under a Tavern license and have to be 21 and over by law. We have a ton of great craft beers available in bottles and cans to go. Cheers!

Food & drink: (4/5) Ironically only one person in my six person group likes beer, with two others (including myself) who are turning around to it. With that being said, I got the american pie cider, two of my friends got various IPA's that I'm failing to remember names for, two others got root beer, and another got a kombucha. I really enjoyed my cider! It was refreshing and I would definitely get it again. As for food, we got fries with truffle oil and a monster cookie with vanilla ice cream. It was all so good! I would only say that the fries are in need of more salt but that's something I could've easily asked for (was too lazy in the moment). Service: (5/5) STELLAR staff here. Everyone is so friendly and there were all smiles when I looked around at other guests.

We got the Atlantic salmon BLT sandwich and the piece of salmon was huge. The paella was delicious and I highly recommend it. The service was good as well. My only complaints are the restaurant was really cold and people were putting coats on inside. Also $30 for the paella is way too much for the size of the dish. It's tiny. They should add more rice and a larger dish.

I'm sorry I didn't get her name. I ordered a Rue Old Fashioned and it was perfectly blended and tasty. I wanted lite so ordered the Coronation salad and it was so good, just the right an out of chicken thighs grapes, cranberries and shaved almonds and the smooth curry dressing was so delicious. It was so perfect and I'll Definitely order it again. Then, I ordered the bread pudding to go. It came with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream with some caramel sauce. However, the bread pudding itself was close to in edible. It must have been made weeks ago and was so dry it almost required a jackhammer to break apart. I was so disappointed and ended up throwing most of it out. This place is less than a block away and I've never had a bad meal there and I highly recommend it. But recommend passing on the bread pudding unless you want something to throw at an ICE agent. 2/2822026 -amendment-I stopped here again for lunch. There were two occupied tables and the rest of the place was empty except for staff. A server came by and said "I'll be right back with you". I waited 15 minutes and not one showed up. Food & drink: (4/5) We got the Cajun tots to share with a side of ranch, which I think they make in-house. The tots were just the right amount of crunch and savory-ness. Exactly what I needed. To drink, I got the triPPPy cider and I really enjoyed it! The fruity notes aren't as strong in this one compared to other ciders I've had but it was still great. Finished it all. Service: (4/5) Super friendly. Just wish our food came a little faster. There weren't many people sitting in and our tator tots took maybe 30 mins. Other notes: Not exactly sure how the parking situation is still since we got there at 10:30pm in the pitch dark. We ended up at the parking lot next door and wandered over until we found it. A little confusing but I'm sure there's a better way to get here.

It's a cool atmosphere, waitress was kind, service was alright, but the only thing that stood out was the surprisingly low quality of my food. I don't usually order a chicken tender meal, but theirs was located at the top of the menu and it had a buttered up description, so I gave it a try.... And then I regretted my decision as soon as I saw my plate. Frozen chicken tenders, dirty grease fries, and watery coleslaw. All for $25. It was unreasonable. It gave me more of a $8 Dairy Queen chicken basket vibe, but I don't want to diss Dairy Queen. I'll pay $25 for Queen before I return to McMenamins. Would love to see McMenamins take a step up on this so they can give their guests an experience more pleasant than mine.

The menu changes seasonally, and they host special events once or twice a month with unique fixed food and drink pairings-so there's always something new to try (and the events are a blast). A huge part of what keeps us coming back is the staff. The servers are friendly and attentive (and a lot of fun to chat with if it gets slow). And if you sit at the bar (highly recommend!), Cameron and Michael take it to another level. They're both talented, passionate and a lot of fun. They're always happy to make something off-menu or surprise us with bartender's choice. They've definitely turned us into cocktail snobs lol. And the food absolutely holds its own. We originally came for the cocktails on another bartender's recommendation, but we were blown away by how good everything has been. The ribeye is easily as good (or better than) steaks I've paid twice as much for elsewhere. The burger and fries are among the best around-and these days, one of the best deals anywhere if you go during happy hour. Similar can be said for everything else on the menu; we've had every appetizer, entree and side dish at least twice :P And since we're usually posted up at the bar, when there's a lull we sometimes get to chat w/ the kitchen, and it's clear they take real pride in what they do.
