Met a friend for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Lots of choices for seating; water brought over immediately. I had the Club Med salad and my friend had the Coronation. Both were very large portions and perfectly delicious. We paired the salads with the Gougeres - light and flavorful. There was a comfortable vibe, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Something I'm seeing more and more of lately is gender-neutral rest rooms, including here. I find general-neutral rest rooms to be brighter, cleaner, and better maintained. Had happy hour here. Booths are comfortable and the folks were super nice. Waitress was prompt, funny, and polite. Everything we ate or drank was delicious! They have a cover band on Wed and we are planning to go back next week for that. I really loved their fries. Fresh, crispy, and just the right amount of salt. Margaritas were so tasty! My friend ordered another one right before the end of happy hour but was only about 1/3 of the way through her current one and they waited until she was finished about 20 min later before they brought her next one and still gave happy hour pricing. Most of the time I have the experience that they just stack the drinks. Kept water replenished, too. Their bathrooms are light and bright and the sink is outside the rooms. Side Hustle is a newly opened brewery in downtown Bothell. While it doesn't have the classic brewery vibe (tall ceilings and expansive spaces), the service was friendly and attentive! The food was pretty good overall -- the bread was the standout for us, and the chicken wings were tasty (though they did seem big). I'm sorry I didn't get her name. I ordered a Rue Old Fashioned and it was perfectly blended and tasty. I wanted lite so ordered the Coronation salad and it was so good, just the right an out of chicken thighs grapes, cranberries and shaved almonds and the smooth curry dressing was so delicious. It was so perfect and I'll Definitely order it again. Then, I ordered the bread pudding to go. It came with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream with some caramel sauce. However, the bread pudding itself was close to in edible. It must have been made weeks ago and was so dry it almost required a jackhammer to break apart. I was so disappointed and ended up throwing most of it out. This place is less than a block away and I've never had a bad meal there and I highly recommend it. A great new restaurant in Bothell. Delicious made from scratch food. A number of gluten free and dairy free options. They have gluten free buns for their sandwiches and burgers. We got the Atlantic salmon BLT sandwich and the piece of salmon was huge. The paella was delicious and I highly recommend it. The service was good as well. My only complaints are the restaurant was really cold and people were putting coats on inside. Also $30 for the paella is way too much for the size of the dish. It's tiny. My friends and I really liked our late lunch here. We came in on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 and it wasn't busy. We sat ourselves in a booth and were quickly helped by a waitress. It seemed really quiet with no one else really there, curious to see if it is busier/livelier other times of the day. Two of us ordered salmon burger and my other friend got the chicken burger. The salmon burger would have been really good except the actual salmon something tasted off and we weren't sure if it was fresh. The chicken burger was great though! Lost opportunity. Was greeted rather quickly, which was nice, and gave my drink order to a guy. Then a lady made the drink and then it just sat in front of her while she chatted away. Eventually, I received the drink. Then the food was dropped of by a "runner" who indeed dropped off the food and ran away. I clearly did not have any napkins or utensils. Now from here there's two ways to go. One, I raise my hand or somehow gather someone's attention. Or two, see if customer service is provided. I wanted to let the situation play out so I opted for option two. In addition, If I have to flag someone for service - then I'M the one that should be tipped at the end. So, I actually sat there for about a good five minutes with various people walking by providing no service. At a minimum - the ONE MINUTE CHECK BACK RULE should always be applied. That is, no matter what the guest says, always check back within one minute after the food has been dropped off. That did not happen. My feeling is that all the employees feel entitled. They can just ignore you and expect the BURDEN to be on YOU to get service. Oh, and then tip them 30% (minimum) at the end. They are simply not service oriented. They lost the sale for a second drink. And they lost the sale from any future visits - since that won't be happening. Then I left and walked two blocks to another restaurant and almost instantly as I sat, I was offered chips and salsa. I was full, so I declined. Then I was greeted quickly by the bartender and got my drink order in. About 5 minutes later the manager saw that I didn't have any chips and came up to me and asked if I wanted any. Again, I declined. But wow, it's simply two different worlds. One restaurant expects you to flag them down and basically beg to give them business. While another goes out of their way to offer their service. Such a lost opportunity. Side Hustle is actually pretty close to where I live so I hoped the place could become a new regular for me. The interior is very nice. Clean and stylish euro pub decor. Service was good. Food was a major bust. Their menu and website are deceiving, they boast generous portions but that is not the case. I was very disappointed with the gambas al ajillio. The shrimp were decent(not over cooked) but it was almost $26 for a couple shrimp in a bowl of oil that was not appetizing for dipping plus a little piece of focaccia. Commonwealth curry with chicken was better and at least a more satisfying meal. Prices are high, but in my experience it wasn't worth it. What a great addition to the Bothell area! We aren't there often, but I'm glad we got to check it out for dinner with friends. Vibe/atmosphere is definitely giving sports bar but elevated. Really fun spot to meet with friends and the service is great! While it's more of a sports bar vibe, the menu is anything but. There's something for everyone and soooo many options sound amazing. My fiance and I tend to order things and split so that we can try a nice variety, and that's what we did here too. We tried the Motherclucker and the Highlander. The Motherclucker as the name implies is their take on a chicken sandwich. Really good - loved how crispy the chicken was. We also added gouda which I definitely recommend. The Highlander was also delicious - their take on a smash burger and it's so good. Patties cooked to perfect! The fries are also super good. While we aren't up in Bothell often, I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu because there's at least three other dishes I almost ordered! read more

First of all our server, Solana, was soooo great. She was friendly, knew the menu well, and was able to answer all of our questions. Lots of beer to choose from, all from Bellevue Brewing (same owner). You can do a flight and my husband favorite was the Vicious Mockery, so after his flight he got a pint of that. They have a full bar, and are working on the cocktail menu. Cider and wine is also available. They are still in their soft opening. As for food, the menu is unique. We opted for the Highlander Burger and the Side Chick salad. But next time I plan to try one of their interesting skillet dishes. Husband reports that the burger was fantastic, and the fresh made focaccia made it amazing! My salad was delicious. The chipotle ranch dressing took it next level. I loved all the protein included, egg, chickpea, and shrimp. The tortilla strips added nice texture. Will probably be my go to dish going forward. To cap off the meal my husband ordered the skillet bread pudding. I'm GF but wish I could have tasted it! **RUDE ENTITLED STAFF & EXPENSIVE ** As a former server and restaurant owner I have little patience for servers who are rude and entitled. They're doing a disservice to this hardworking restaurant owner. The prices are average for the area but Bothell is expensive for what you get. This isn't downtown Seattle folks! I would avoid this restaurant for lunch. Who wants to spend $30 for lunch unless they're taking a client out? Lunch needs to be $15 to $20 tops. read more

I met a friend for lunch at Side Hustle and was surprised at just how good everything was. I ordered the "Motherclucker" fried chicken sandwich with a side of seasoned fries and spicy ranch dipping sauce. The fried chicken sandwich was excellent with great attention for detail in all aspects of the sandwich! The brioche bun was great, the broiled gouda added a nice touch, the slaw was excellent and the chicken was both seasoned and cooked perfectly! The fries were some of the best that I have had in a really long time and the spicy ranch dipping sauce was a great accompaniment. I will finish by saying that Antonio was fantastic, friendly, efficient with his service, and provided really great menu guidance! I will definitely be back! I felt hustled.... Went here for lunch on Valentines day. Ordered the Coq au Vin, Gougères, and The Forager appetizers. Gougères - For $11 you get 4 - Gougères (each one about the size of a macaron cookie splint in half) A comically small portion for what they are charging. They were crunchy all the way through like a crouton, so I am guessing were baked from frozen and over cooked, or left over from yesterday and re-baked. They were definitely not made fresh as they had none of the chewiness and texture Choux pastry should have in the center... The Forager - also a comically small portion for what they are charging. For $17 you get a total of 4 small crostini's with about a tablespoon of sautéed mushrooms on each one. I actually laughed when this plate arrived. The mushroom were good, but the portion size was ridiculously small for the price. Coq au Vin - The stew was okay, and served with a slice of "scratch focaccia" bread. Not sure what "scratch" means exactly, but the bread we got was at least a day or two old, and was cold.... if you are going to serve old bread, at least spritz it with water and put it in the oven for a few minutes, or brush it with olive oil and grill it for a minute or two. It would be infinitely better. Very disappointing for a $30 lunch entrée. read more

I love this place. My family and I tried it for the first time yesterday and were blown away. For context, we have a newborn and toddler, going out to eat can be a battle sometimes. The food was amazing!! a lot of restaurants claim to be family, friendly, but really do not have families in mind when they design the restaurant. This place was not like that. They have gender neutral bathrooms with a changing pad in the bathroom. They had stepstool in the bathroom for kids to wash their hands. My husband's chicken sandwich was huge and my burger was delicious. The staff told me they make the bread in house daily. Stopped in tonight on a whim while running errands, and man, am I glad we did! This adorable, unassuming local joint lies just north of the 522 in downtown Bothell; if you blink, you might miss it. However, once inside, you're greeted not only by the warm surroundings, but the warmer hospitality offered by the staff. A family owned and operated business, this place is amazing. An eclectic mix of Irish/English pub and contemporary gastropub, they are doing everything right. The food is delicious and on-point, thanks to family recipes handed down through generations. And the craft cocktails are to die-for! Not seeing what libations you want on the bar menu? No worries! Just tell the capable bartenders your preference and they'll handily create a cocktail tailored just to your liking. Our 'tender Bailey (daughter of the owner) was uber-attentive, charismatic and chatty, but in a genuine way. Her Dad even came by and shared a drink and conversation with us! I had a fantastic Old Fashioned, and followed it up with a taster of some of their hand-crafted brews. I'm an admitted IPA snob, and I swear I couldn't pick a favorite from the five tasters that Bailey proffered, the beers were THAT good. I left it up to Bailey to choose, and she didn't steer me wrong. My wife stuck to cocktails, and every one was better than the last. Awesome grown-up date night, but they are also kid-friendly, in case you have your littles in tow. While we don't frequent Bothell much, this place just gave us a great excuse to do so in the future. Oh, and the entire place is spotless. The kitchen lacks doors so you can see clear back to where your meals are created; it looks like an emergency room, I swear you can eat off of the floors. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Bailey and her father told us that they have only been open a year; if that's the case, they have a bright future ahead of them. First, let me say that service was fine. Interior was fine. Parking was easy for a Saturday night, and the place had no wait. Drinks were good. I really wanted to embrace the new European-inspired spot in town. We ordered an appetizer and it was brought out at the same time as our main entrees, which was about 10 minutes after we ordered. App was good, but seemed overpriced (but isn't everything these days?). The paella was served in cast iron, but not cooked in it. :-/ If we give it another shot, I'll order the curry or one of the sandwiches.
