Firstly, the place is absolutely pretty and fine dine. The business gets pretty busy, so plan accordingly. Service was good too. The lemonade was very refreshing, and the strawberry Matcha was yumm. Coming to the food, to me it was off. The vegan biscuits and gravy came with an egg? Was totally turned off by that, considering it was vegan. Had to request for a new one. In the artichoke dip, I could hardly feel the artichoke and I didn't really like it. The pricing was pretty steep, and I personally didn't feel that it was worth it. The vibe however was great, super nice ambiance too. Not sure if I didn't get the right dishes but I didn't really have a great experience!

What a cute place for date! Food & drink: (4/5) I was craving something meaty so I got the cottage burger. It really hit the spot! I loved the bun that they use and their bun to meat ratio is good as well (I hate it when it's too bready). Was this the best burger I've ever had? I wouldn't say so, but it was still pretty good. I was kind of sad when they forgot the truffle oil on my fries but it wasn't a big deal to me. The fries themselves were very addicting, crisp, and well salted. I really wanted to try their espresso martini, but since I was driving I got the zero proof pomegranate ginger press. Loved it! It was tangy, fruity, definitely gingery, perfect to cut through your meal. Service: (5/5) They are SO attentive here! It's a smaller, more intimate space and the staff make it feel even homier. Other notes: I would make a reservation if you're going during high traffic meal times since it's a tight fit. There's also a free parking garage across the street if you can't find street parking.

Tried their brunch Tuesday The service was great, the Americano coffee was very good . I ordered the regular eggs Benedict & wife order the croissant Benedict. Their potatoes were excellent. Unfortunately my English muffin was dark and broke off like a cracker. The bacon on mine as well as wife's was overcooked and not easy to chew. Hopefully next time those will be better.

One of my favorite spots for brunch in the area! The Cottage has such a cozy, welcoming vibe, perfect for lazy weekend mornings. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful--I especially love their avocado toast and lemon ricotta pancakes. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared and satisfying. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel warm and relaxed. Whether you're going for a casual brunch with friends or a little treat-yourself morning, The Cottage never disappoints. Highly recommend!

While staying at McMenamins up the street, we came here upon a recommendation meaning to only have a drink at the bar but ended up staying for dinner and a couple rounds. A reservation is highly recommended although we did get lucky and snagged to stools at the bar top. The bartenders were super friendly. There was live music and it was really good. The burgers were amazing and we also ordered the plate of veggies which were delicious. Such an elevated cozy vibe here.

We have never tried this place even though m regularly doing business nearby sometimes in the same parking lot. It always seemed like a trendy expensive wine bar and our trip confirmed that opinion. But I'm really glad that we did try it and it made the wife happy after adult children returned home after Christmas. It was a great "first date" to celebrate our renewed empty nestness. Resy had a great Amex credit that we had to use up so we got a little decadent. Started with Happu hour and an early seating. It was mellow and seated right away . Our server was great, talkative, and good sense of humor. Sorry I forgot to ask his name. We started with a house wine and Pilsner. Got seconds later. Along with charcuterie board. I liked it very much but could have used more crackers and maybe some olives or something?! Very good cheese trio. The mulled pear spinach salad was excellent and when we said we would split it they took the care to plate it individually! Tasty yet slightly overdressed. She got the braised short ribs and they were fantastic with artisan carrots and a mash. Perfectly seasoned and salt level. I got the chicken cordon bleu which I love even though an old time avg dish. I make good one at home so it's like comfort food to me. Theirs was elegant, sliced in pieces, yet heavily sauced with an extremely rich sauce and I think prosciutto instead of jamon. This all made it very tasty but too rich for me to finish. The sprouts were good but I make better ones and eat them a lot. Personally I think a simple green bean or simple green veggie would be the calm partner to such a rich cordon blue. But they brought the flavor to upscale this very avg dish! She succumbed to dessert with the apple crisp and added ice cream. Needed the ice cream!! It was ok but my wife makes a much nicer apple crisp especially when our Asian pear trees are fruiting!! Overall I was surprised that most all of this experience lives up to the hype I see here regularly. We noticed young couples and families coming in for the HH experience but they kept it simple and just light compared to our choices. We could not finish all the food we ordered and the bill was up there!! We might not be back regularly due to that but it's worthy of a splurge for sure! For a restaurant in one of downtown Bothell's oldest and run down buildings, they have done a lovely job decorating and ambience to make you forget that when you are inside! Including an elegantly winter worthy outdoor tent seating. This building was old when I was around in high school in the 80s and it's eventually going to be developed I'm sure. Go try The Cottage if you haven't.

Im updating this review with a new menu item in mind. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and were informed it just got changed to a Buffalo artichoke dip. My partner LOVED it, and I like my dips a little chunkier, but the flavor was good. The chips were excellent. We split the butternut sage ravioli, and it was the perfect amount since it ran a little sweet. Loved the roasted pumpkin seeds! Clean cozy vibes, as always, albeit a little loud. Good service.

We went to the cottage on a Saturday morning for breakfast. I was impressed by the place as soon as I entered the restaurant. It has a very nice cozy and rustic vibe which is quite relaxing. We ordered the baked French toast and vegan tofu scramble. Both were well prepared and we enjoyed the food a lot. Place is on the expensive side compared to other places but then food, service and ambiance compensated for it. I liked the place and will visit again.

I had visited The Cottage back on 3/25/25 for another group event and was really amazed with the hospitality, service, dining area, and the food/bev served. After regaling my amazement, it was decided to make reservations for brunch. Yesterday (5/3/25) I finally met up with fellow Yelp Elite and IGer, Carol C. Again, both the outdoor covered and indoor dining/bar areas were full...at 930 Saturday morning! Service was friendly, waitperson was able to answer various questions to steer us in the right direction to decide on menu items, items came out in good time, and we were checked upon periodically while we were onsite. Carol C. decided on French press coffee service and the Eggs Benedict with hash browns. I decided to try the Short Rib Hash again. Because The Cottage started awhile back as a coffee purveyor, they know their roasts well as the coffee service came with a hourglass timer. We polished off our respective entrees and which spoke well for both the FOH and BOH/kitchen crew in their joint execution for brunch service. Flavorful and nice presentation visually. However, there's some things to mention as pro tips to consider: *Reservations are highly encouraged. There is a time limit and also penalty if one does not show up or cancel a reservation. *Give adequate time to arrive and find parking. Street parking and the shared lot can get pretty full with other businesses nearby or activities happening in downtown Bothell. I imagine they are popular for all meal service including happy hour. *Carol wished her English muffins were toasted more. I am glad they allowed over easy vs hard cooked eggs atop my short rib hash. I wished my entree was hotter in temperature and had the fingerling potatoes as experienced before, versus the fried hash browns or shoestring potatoes provided. Yes, it provided crunch, but I prefer substance as my first meal of the day and with that $28 price before tax and tip. *It did get pretty loud with all the lively collective convos going on. We ended up ordering and eating within the hour and headed to a nearby indie cafe for better conversation ability. *Menu items are a bit of a splurge. However, that seems to be reflective of today's economy and quality of ingredients. Speaking for myself, better late than never to finally discover The Cottage. Great gem in downtown Bothell!

I LOVE THE COTTAGE. This restaurant is so cozy and fun. Their food is absolutely delicious and their lattes are exquisite. They are huge and have so much yummy flavor. Drinking it is like a warm hug for my tummy. I think my favorite dish right now is the short rib hash and their homemade fresh hummus. The service here is also extremely nice and fast. They take care of you here and everyone makes sure you are having an a great dining experience:) This place is perfect for brunch and happy hour!! They have absolutely delish cocktails and mock tails. Its the yuzu lemonade mocktail for me right now! So refreshing for these sunny days!

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. Pros: The restaurant has a very cute, small town vibe. Very clean and elegant. The wait staff seated me quickly without a reservation and my waiter was helpful and nice. My 16oz cappuccino ($8/9) was very tasty, and came out quickly. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy with a mushroom gravy instead of the normal pork one. She said it was very good. Cons: I love creole food, so I ordered the shrimp and grits. The flavor of the sauce was good. However, the grits were not creamy; they came in a gelatinous like mound. The shrimp were also overcooked. I asked the waiter if this is how the dish is normally served, and he said yes. So I definitely wouldn't recommend ordering that, unless you prefer overcooked grits and shrimp. Parking is not good. Most of the spots in the lot are designed for other businesses, and there is minimal street parking. There's something across the street that looks like a lot, but I just had surgery, so that was too far of a walk. Why I won't be back: Overall I enjoyed the experience and would have wanted to try the restaurant on different occasion to give the food another try. However, as my friend and I were wrapping up our conversation (I just had surgery, and this was my first time outside in weeks), I overheard the head waitress/front desk woman tell my waiter" if they want to stay and talk, they can go outside". And when I looked over, she was looking at our table. I understand that restaurants are busy on the weekends, and you want to have a quick turnover. However, there was no line, and I would've been perfectly fine with the waiter coming over and letting us know that they needed to turn over our table for new guests. Customer service is just as important as the food, maybe even more so. I will continue to give my money to a restaurant with good customer service, even if the food is mediocre. I do think that this is a nice establishment with decent food, but based on that comment from the waitress and the 25 minutes drive to come there, I don't plan on being back.

Super yummy! My girlfriend took me out here for breakfast and we both loved it. I had the banana French toast and it was so tasty. The coffees we both got were also fantastic. It's super cozy spot with outdoor seating too and friendly staff. The lunch and dinner looked good as well so I have to come back for that one day. Real good stuff.

He was excellent at describing the dishes and we were really excited to hear about the awesome happy hours at Von's and just what Von's is really all about. Waiters usually ask once how you're doing, but Erich is great at checking in at key points throughout the meal. I can tell that he's a lovely person overall and a gentleman. Von's is very lucky to have him! The food is really great too. Pizza in general no matter where it's from is a treat, but the sourdough pizza here takes the cake (pizza?). Knowing that it's sourdough really elevates the experience. We also had the sourdough pasta. Every menu option sounded enticing, and we knew whatever we ordered was going to be good.

A big part of that was Dave, our attentive, friendly, and quietly confident waiter who made the whole experience feel like we were being welcomed into someone's home. Dave explained that everything at Von's is made from scratch, and he talked about the menu the way a good tour guide talks about a city: with enthusiasm, insider knowledge, and just enough charm to make you trust every recommendation. He steered us toward an appetizer of clams in tomato sauce. For the main course, he suggested the pasta with salmon. Both were excellent. Throughout the meal, Dave checked in at just the right moments--never hovering, never disappearing, always making sure we had what we needed. The kind of service that makes you feel taken care of without ever feeling managed. All in all, a terrific first visit, made even better by someone who clearly takes pride in the place. We'll be asking for Dave next time.

It was a Friday afternoon, so there was no one else there but us The ambiance of the place was so chill with the wispy octopi and blowfish that was reminiscent of the Crusty crab, if it was allowed to mature and become refined. The food was great but the drinks were phenomenal. The key component was the master bartender that just happened to be on shift that day. Michael. Talk about being someone who has a passion for their craft, being a master and loving every minute of it. The history of the drinks and their components, the origins of the makers, the sensory experience of the bitters and personal stories that went into every drink that he made. Some of them on the menu and some of them not. I asked for a rye whiskey drink and he produced the most amazing manhattan I've ever had. I inquired about Mezcal and he made me a drink that embodied the structured flavors of smoke and leather with sweet and savory. And then there was absinthe. The original Zombie was a fine introduction to that, and it did not disappoint, but he had a plan for each path. We will absolutely be back for more.

The Cajun tots we received were cold and hardly any Cajun spice on them. I thought they mistakenly gave us the plain tots. No cutlery was offered with our sandwiches. We asked for a condiment but didn't get it until we were nearly done eating. It was a bummer as I was showing this place to a friend. I had talked it up and was left disappointed.

I got a seat at the bar. The service was great! I decided to try the fish and chips... wow! It was fantastic! The batter was light and crisp, the fish was thick, juicy, and cooked beautifully! The fries were perfectly cooked and salted fantastically! I enjoyed the meal so much! Great location, great food, great service!

Another plus is that Woodinville Whiskey Distillary is 25ft away as they share the same parking lot. We don't frequent Hollywood Tavern as it was our first time, but it was just too easy to drop by for a snack before stopping by the distillary. Found a table in the bar area that was just right with beautiful view of the whiskey bottles lining the window. We got prompt attention and reviewed the menu for the snack. I was about to get fish and chips but was steered toward the Cubano pork sandwich with french fries. My wife got a caesar salad with romaine instead of kale and we decided to try the fried pickles too. No drinks other than water as we had plans afterward. The positives is the location, the atmosphere and they had all the pub fare you would expect. The only thing that dampened the pleasure was everything the fries, the sandwich, the salad, and even the sauces tastes quite salty to me. My wife mentioned to me seeing red edges on the romaine in her salad typically meaning not as fresh as it should have been. Definitely a nice place for beer drinking in the bar or outside on the patio during these springtime days. Not sure of the root cause of the over seasoning, but I'll ask for lighter next time.
