Classic diner. Long, diverse menu. Great service. Lots of seating. Good vibes. We need more of this sort of thing.

Big portions, all American breakfast! Even the toast is thick with pre-lathered butter Servers were attentive especially since I was in a rush. They gave me my bill very early which was helpful. Fun atmosphere because of the big open dining area!

We've been coming here quite a bit and every time we're happy with the food and service. This time I tried the bacon cheeseburger with fried which was great, as well as a cappuccino. It's family friendly and offer high chair for toddlers and they are very accommodating when someone has dietary restrictions.

Delicious breakfast! The cafe was very welcoming and clean with large windows for people watching. My favorite breakfast is veggie eggs Benedict , this did not disappoint- eggs were soft and sauce was creamy, English muffin was crispy with spinach and avocado. My husband enjoyed the French toast with scrambled eggs and potatoes. I like the option to order a half portion for each menu item. The server was polite and attentive. Next time I'm in town I'll just stop by! Tip- pet friendly patio!

I came here with a friend and I was surprised at how busy it was on a Wednesday morning. We were seated quickly though. It's pretty cozy and homey feeling. I tried the curry salad worth a side of bacon. The portion is pretty generous as I was stuffed after. Food was pretty standard in my opinion. Service was ok, I wish they would refill my water but they never came back to check on us much. Overall, it was more of a 3.5 star

One of my fav brunch spots on the east side. We always order their crab benedict and southwest scramble here. Absolutely delicious brunch items. I have also tried their waffles, pancakes and havent yet ordered and item that was just okay. Every item was amazing here. They have a good selection of drinks as well. Their bloody mary and irish coffees are my fav. Service is quick. On a sunny day I love sitting in their outdoor patio and enjoying my brunch. I wish you'll had a branch in downtown seattle but this place is totally worth the drive! Highly recommend.

Sriracha Burger (sub chicken! Sub Swiss! No veggies) with maple bacon and sriracha mayo.

Decided to ride our bikes to breakfast on a sunny Sunday. We arrived at the witching hour (which is what I call the breakfast rush!) It was completely out of character for me, but I ordered the sriracha burger instead of the standard breakfast fare. I'll blame it on the 10 mile bike ride it took to get there! The burger was delicious. I did not regret my decision one bit! The maple bacon paired with sriracha sauce and Swiss cheese was *chefs kiss*! (It normally comes with pepper jack cheese but I like Swiss.) The fries were delicious too. Crunchy and batter-y with a soft center. Next time I'll definitely try the breakfast!

Found a Groupon deal for Alexa's Cafe and we were pleasantly surprised by the food! We came for brunch on a Sunday and waited about 20 minutes or so for a table. The restaurant is decently sized, with a lot of tables inside but unfortunately has a bit of a wait out the door. It's easy to find in downtown Bothell since the area around it is pretty unassuming. I got the sausage gravy and biscuits and the bread was soft and the gravy was not too salty. The service was speedy and the food tasted very much like a home-cooked meal. I'd be tempted to come again on a weekday or something like that!

Crab Benny on gluten free bread

Yesterday was my first time at Alexa's. I had a wonderful experience! The staff was attentive and upbeat. Our service was very quick. I really appreciated the food options! You can get gluten free bread and switch out potato's for zucchini or tomatoes. Made my meal much more enjoyable. It's a casual atmosphere and quite busy for a Monday morning- I can only imagine this place is packed on weekends. Looking forward to my next trip in!

So good and very busy dinner the weekday lunch hour! My boyfriend works across the street and frequents this establishment quite often. His favorite meal there is a tuna melt with a Ceasar salad. Everytime he sends me pictures the Ceasar salad is always consistently green. I had the fish and chips. The homemade tartar is amazing and the fish was battered to perfection. They were served with seasoned fries so my food was even better! I loved squeezing my lemon wedge on each bite I took. Soo good!

The pups liked the shade

Walked the dogs on a Sunday morning before the heat came and decided to see what the wait for this place might be. Was only about 10 minutes which was great. We got seated at a table outside in the shade, and the dogs sat in their own chair on a blanket. The waitress was very nice and quickly came to take our beverage orders. We ordered coffee and an iced tea, which were both tasty. A few minutes later, she came to take our food order, and we ordered a Southwest scramble size large and a veggie scramble size small. The food came out quickly, which was surprising because they were pretty busy. Both of us really enjoyed our food, and it was tasty and fresh. The veggie scramble had a good amount of thinly sliced vegetables in it, which was healthy, and the side of potatoes was flavorful and cooked to the right consistency. It was almost too many potatoes for both of us since they were cut in pretty big chunks. I had a piece of rye bread from the bakery across the street. My husband ordered a pancake instead of toast. I did not like the caraway in the rye, but I ate it anyway since I know it is healthy. I put some raspberry jam on the bread which tasted good. The waitress stopped by a few times to check if everything was OK and refill our drinks which was wonderful. All in all, the dogs and we had a good time, and the food was a little less expensive than some of the other places we tend to go to. I would go here again with the kids as a special treat or if we were in the area around breakfast or lunch time once in awhile since going out anywhere nowadays with a family can get quite pricy!

Alexa's Cafe is definitely a neighborhood gem. The decor gives me a warm, welcoming feeling. Together with the friendly wait staff, I feel like I am eating at a friend's house. Their menu offers a great selection of breakfast and lunch dishes. With generous portion sizes and great tasting food, I have no choice but to keep coming back.

Love coming here for brunch. My favorite is the eggs Benedict, but everything our family has tried has been delicious.

Service was notably much more welcoming, the interior & vibe remained on point. The College Friend and birthday celebrant went all out and had the Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries. Notable was that the sizable chicken filet was both buttermilk and pickle juice brined. I opted for the buttermilk pancakes with a blueberry peach compote and a side of Hempler bacon. The fruit compote was so delicious, the maple syrup was a bit of an afterthought. So contrary to my previous review, I did return albeit 6.5 years later. And props to them, compared to other greater Seattle spots that have shuttered, The Guest House seems to have staying power in Kenmore.

Apparently they "stopped doing that" in September, which was unclear from their website or Yelp reviews/pics, and it wasn't just me--the table next to me asked their server the same thing. My friend and I got brunch-y drinks (mimosa, spicy Bloody Mary), and then each got one of the only two items on the menu that had eggs (shakshuka and a breakfast sandwich). While I can't comment on the shakshuka, the breakfast sandwich had thick bread that was toasted a bit too much and wrecked the roof of my mouth. The drinks were good but the sandwich + a mimosa set me back $30 before tip so I don't think I'll be coming back again--certainly not during "brunch" time!

A beautiful property with all kinds of little treasures as you explore. This time we came across The Shed. It's a quaint little cocktail/ whiskey bar. Limited seating but great customer service. As a hotel guest, I was gravely disappointed. There were no extra accommodations or amenities. There was not an easily accessible ice machine, you had to go into a restaurant flag down staff and have them fill up your ice bucket; but only available during business hours. Coffee and hot water were only available during a short time period in the morning, outside of that time period you had to go to a restaurant and purchase coffee or tea. The king sized bed room I stayed in had plenty of room to accommodate an in room coffee/ tea bar with hot kettle. On Friday and Saturday nights, be prepared to have non-hotel guests walking throughout the building in order to visit the hidden speakeasy "The Principals Office," which by the way would be a great spot for an ice machine and drinks or snacks for hotel guests. As a woman, staying in a room by myself, it was unnerving having the main doors open to any and all. Additionally, it was sad to see that the hotel market was filled more with knic knacks and McMenimens commercialized products rather than items a hotel guest would need. Would I stay at another McMenimens hotel? Only if it's convenient, sadly I would not go out of my way. The grounds and gardens are beautiful at this location and it is a great stop for wandering around or bar hopping.
