Dirty bar with mediocre drinks at craft cocktail prices. Entrance was located in a back alley so speak-easy esque, but the interior is more divey. The table we sat at was littered with pizza toppings, perhaps from a previous patron. The specialty cocktails ($13) were made with fridge ice which is already a huge no.

Hidden Gem Alert: Cotton Tail Bar! I recently discovered Cotton Tail, and I must say, it's a hidden gem that's quickly become a favorite of mine. The drinks here are perfect - expertly crafted with just the right balance of flavors. The ambiance is everything you'd want in a bar, providing a great setting to unwind and enjoy a drink or two. What sets Cotton Tail apart is its service. If you're looking for a new spot to grab a drink, run to Cotton Tail. It's a must-visit bar in my book, and I make sure to bring every friend of mine here to share in the experience

TC is the man. These drinks are good but the service is top notch. He recommended so many places based on our likes. Come see them, you won't be disappointed.

Drinks were great! We tried the Wonderland 65, Shark Attack, Ginger Margarita, and Madhatter Mai Tai - all were great! The bartender was very chill and kind, as well as pretty efficient. The decor was cute and whimsical! Would definitely recommend for cute and unique cocktails and they were tasty and sizable portions for only $13, which is really good in this area.

Awesome Smash Burger in Belltown, friendly and cheap. Burger is topped with poblanos, patty is crispy on the outside, pink on the inside. 13$ is a steal. Music is unique, heard an underground rap I haven't heard in a long time, brought back a lot of memories..

Stopped in here for a late night cocktail. The decor is cool and it has a pretty cool vibe. Too bad the bartenders are both incompetent and rude. I asked for a particular type of alcohol. She said she didn't have it, but later I saw it sitting right on the shelf. Know what you serve!!!! My wife asked for a lime in her drink (because she was previously served a lemon instead) and the bartender told her "Don't talk to me like I'm a kindergartner". Wow....do you job and cut the sass. We won't be back.

This is a new bar opened by the folks who opened Bathtub Gin and Rabbit Hole. It is hidden in an alleyway off of Blanchard and 3rd with mural art on the wall. You order at the bar which means it can take a while for your drink if the line is long and there is only one bartender working. They had a small menu on the board with only about five offerings which was pretty limited. I got the mad hatter mai tai ($13) which was sweeter than your typical mai tai, probably due to the orange. They have happy hour daily from 4pm-6pm which includes $12 cocktails, only a slight decrease from the ~$13 drinks otherwise. This is a unique lounge-y spot with multiple rooms to spend an evening. Also, they are dog friendly!

Step into Cottontail, and you'll feel like you've entered a time capsule. The old-school Seattle vibe is palpable - dimly lit, cozy booths, and a mishmash of seats and tables that exude eclectic charm. It's the kind of place where you can unwind, chat with friends, and forget about reality. The staff here is friendly and attentive. Plus, they've got that laid-back Seattle attitude that makes you feel right at home. The cocktails at Cottontail are a delightful blend of creativity and classic flavors. Whether you're a whiskey enthusiast or prefer something fruity, they've got you covered. Okay, let's address the elephant in the room - parking. It's not great. If you're driving, be prepared for a challenge. There is a paid lot in the alley that is affordable but fills up on weekends along with street parking.

I noticed the obscure Cottontail a couple of months ago walking down 4th Avenue. A sign warned that Cottontail was arriving soon. WTF? However, it was enough to pique my interest. Initially, I found zip on the internet, but then facts came drifting in morsel by morsel. Cottontail is a new bar that took over an old spot and reopened, with its entrance on the alley between Blanchard and Bell and 3rd and 4th. That's less than a block from my place, and my presence was required. These folks also run the Rabbit Hole in Belltown, and I believe Bathtub Gin. Last night I was able to stop in, and am I glad I did. This is an eclectic watering hole, welcoming an array of humanity. It was refreshing to be amongst every possible subculture Seattle maintains. I was the oldest cat in the bar, but no one cared. Bryce, the Minot, North Dakota native was my barkeep, and he handled my annoying questions with panache. The atmosphere would be called "speakeasy," but it's just comfy and welcoming. Everyone was friendly, and I had a great time, leaving after three drinks with a big shit eating grin on my face. Despite the cold temperatures, I was toasty. The Cottontail is a unique lounge for this area in Belltown. Welcome to the hood.

What a great find. Amazing selection of Gin and other unique spirits . Our bartender was fantastic, made us an awesome cocktail based on what our chosen flavors were: a unique blend of dive bar speakeasy. Space full of dark corners and chill tables to drink and relax. Will be back!

Popped in for some pre-dinner cocktails. We came during a holiday so the vibes were hard to decipher since we were the only ones. But they served delicious drinks with cool decor inside!

Neat ode to the days gone by of the Rabbit Hole and Mr. Darcy's and the like. The newest offspring of the creator of Bathtub Gin and others. A speakeasy, alleyway drinking hole where the ambiance partners with the specialty cocktails to bring you a casual, comfortable drinking experience. If any of you remember the Sit and Spin, you'll know where this place resides.

Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year. I can't recommend it enough and it'll be at the top of my list of places to hit the next time I'm in town.

Whenever someone is visiting, we come here. Whenever I run into a stranger visiting, i say they have to come here. My friends know if i'm celebrating anything, "are you getting crab nachos?!" It's become a part of my personality at this point. I have so much respect for the owners, the way they run their business and their honesty online. No one I've brought here has had a bad thing to say regardless of what they ordered. My go to is: Pull apart bread, crab nachos (with their hot sauce!! which, btw can i buy that by the bottle.. cause YUM) + whatever drink is calling my name (they rotate, but if you can get the pina colada you won't regret it). tldr; you'll regret NOT coming here.

I underestimated the attractiveness of Happy Hour where many drinks are $1 to $3 off. The place was full and became even fuller (and louder) by the end of our meal. This bar is hopping with many regulars, alcohol-filled, with multiple screens televising sports. When we went in October, the food menu says the food is discounted 25% off during certain late hours. The current online menu doesn't say that anymore. Not sure if that deal is still available. Our server was easygoing. Note they charge 3% for credit card use. The Food: SRB Burger, $22 - 3 Stars Menu: Painted Hills beef, burrata mozzarella, basil aioli, arugula, pickled onions, hand cut fries Per the menu description, this burger sounded great. Unfortunately for hubby, this burger has the exact pet peeve that he dislikes the most - where the patty is small and tall (he calls it ball shape) compared to the bun. The patty diameter is significantly smaller than the bun. He literally hates that. I had to tilt the camera much lower to see the patty inside. On the plus side, the fries are great. Grilled Shrimp Club, $24 - 3.5 Stars Menu: bacon, lettuce, tomato, house made guacamole, roasted chipotle aioli, hand cut fries This club sandwich is very good except for the one thing that the menu didn't specify - the bun. They use ciabatta bread, which I find doughy, thick, and overwhelms a sandwich. That is my pet peeve for a sandwich. Neither of us is betting well on this night. They are probably more of a 3.5 Stars overall. We find their prices to be high, especially since they additionally charge a credit card fee. When we went, the cost was $21, $23 respectively. The prices are now $22 and $24 per online menu. I would not return for food only. I would return for a bar vibe.

I would love to have a nice bar to patronize, but the bar food menu doesn't match bar food vibe. I am curious what dinner would be like here. Whoever owns this bar and whoever is curating this menu is absolutely a music head. No debate. And here's your gentle PSA: please pass that love of music AND hip-hop history to your waitstaff. Because what happened to me... was personal. There are three drinks on the menu that basically scream, "someone in here grew up on hip-hop and never emotionally left the 90s." We've got: ATLiens Aquemini 2 ____ a Butterfly (fill in the blank, but if you know, you KNOW Kendrick Lamar, 2015) Now listen this is not "aqua-mini." This is Outkast. Andre 3000. Big Boi. Southern rap royalty. It is pronounced Ah-kwim-in-eye The waitress looks me dead in my soul and says, "Oh, you mean the Aqua-mini." I was transported out of my body. Now here's the issue: I would've let it go...if a Kendrick Lamar song wasn't also on the menu. Because why are we confidently mispronouncing Outkast while casually referencing Pulitzer-level rap on the same drink list? At that point I realized I was surrounded by people under 34 who had never had to wait for TRL, decode a CD booklet, or defend Southern rap. No one in my group shared my emotional breakdown. Not one gasp. Prices & Drinks (important part): Let's talk about the $18 drink situation. I paid $18 for an Aquemini and received...vibes. Not buzz. At $18, I expect at least a whisper of alcohol. Instead, I got decorative hydration. My husband's Blueberry Smash? Better. More flavor. More personality. So now I'm sitting there thinking: I paid premium pricing for a drink I had to defend and pronounce correctly myself... and still left sober. Food: I was a little hungry and ordered fried shrimp (not on the online menu) The shrimp was fine. Just fine. The dipping sauce tried its best, and I respect that effort. Why is everything either wagyu, mussels, duck, or something you need a culinary degree to pronounce like gruyere but I can't just get a basic bar plate? Wagyu sliders, chicken bites would have been nice because I don't usually go out thinking, "Tonight feels like Wagyu and mussels at the bar." Service: I'm from Los Angeles, so I'm familiar with urban sketchy with a side of vibes. The activities near the parking spaces was very sketch. I was with a group of 8, including my husband so I felt protected by numbers. Inside, it was a Friday night but surprisingly empty. The music was loud enough to feel like a party, but quiet enough that you could still hear each other. We tried to rearrange seating to accommodate our group and the waitress said "I'm not walking around you, so keep this aisle clear." Which was fair, but also, there are gentler ways to say "I need this walkway." Or tell us the better way to set up seating in the empty bar. I didn't have a second drink frankly because I was never asked. Most places I go the waitress will come and ask if I want another drink. I don't live in Seattle, so this was my intro to night time bar life in the city. Sleepless in Seattle? I think in 2026 it's more like Sleepy in Seattle by looking at the emptiness.
