This cozy and quiet cafe is a block or so away from the Roosevelt light rail station, but street parking was difficult to find; I had to use parking along 8th Ave NE which was a considerable number of blocks away given how hot it was on a Sunday at 3:30pm, not to mention I already walked a lap or two around Green Lake Park and craved something sweet like I always do! The interior complemented the hot, sunny day with warm colors; the brown hardwood floors, the lighting inside and the white walls contrasting with the front counter that has all the colors, be it from the croffles or their menus up on the TV monitors. They also serve a variety of other foods and desserts that were also at the front display counter. You can order up at the front counter, or you can use the lone kiosk to the immediate right-hand side of the front entrance to peruse the menu and place your order. In general, it's a very cute cafe with low-volume music, some board games and a matching minimal interior to boot. Their menu offers a wide variety of drinks including caffeinated and non-caffeinated dinks, coffee, milk tea, matcha and others. Their croffles are also on display at the front counter, though I couldn't tell if they were real or not. When I placed my order for a mango croffle and classic milk tea, they definitely did not take or even touch the mango croffle already in the display case; staff took about 15 minutes or so making the croffle and getting everything to me on a tray, complete with utensils and napkins. For each of the foods I got: - The mango croffle is literally a waffle in the best shape and hump for a croissant you can probably get. It looks like it's psrinkled with flour and drizzled in syrup, followed by tons of whipped cream on the top and some okay-quality mango slices. The croffle itself was more than warm and on the borderline of hot, so that's a huge plus for me here. None of the different kinds of sweetness provided by these layers interfered in any way, hence I finished quickly and without a ton of water. - The classic milk tea (with regular sweetness and less ice) was actually for my mom, and I only got a sip of it after she had the majority of it when I returned home. Very standard and nothing special, though I appreciate the sweetness levels being appropriate in proportion to the ice, assuming that it melts in the fridge. Don't be fooled by the size of their Croffles, even one can be pretty filling but one shouldn't limit themselves to trying one. The Croffle itself is sweet/sugared, but if you go with one of their flavors it isn't a sweet overload. The cream of the toppings is light, and throwing in either the fresh bluberries or strawberry completes it. Personally I'm a fan of their Taro and strawberry. I found their bluberry tastes similiar to the Taro (so I wouldn't order both at the same time), and the Red Velvet was okay but a little bland. Savory Bites: If you're looking for something more savory, I suggest trying out the croffle tuna sandwich, any of the onigiri or the sausage bread. Paired any of these with a drink and you're set for a yummy time! I particularly like the croffle tuna sandwich for the sweet/salty texture and the sausage bread itself was pretty tasty. I throughly did not enjoy my order. My cousin and I wanted a sweet treat after getting dinner, so we decided to come here after searching up nearby dessert places on Yelp. This cafe is located in a plaza with many surrounding businesses which made finding parking easy and abundant in the lot. Upon entering the cafe, the lights are super bright and it's decorated in a colorful, plant theme. There wasn't anyone at the cash register at that moment either but they do have a kiosk in the front you can also check out on. There's a small market place of retail items to the side and a variety of food/drinks on their actual menu. I appreciated the visual display of desserts in their case and there were tons of tables to sit at. There wasn't many people inside when we arrived, but the few there were silently working on their computers/studying. We still decided to dine in since my cousin wanted to get a croffle and eat it right away. Drinks are only available in 16oz (small) and 22oz (large). Our order was completed quickly and the girl who gave it to us was nice. vanilla icecream croffle: my cousin thought the presentation was pretty and it was a good amount of vanilla ice cream on top of the croffle. It was just that the croffle was stale, so it wasn't enjoyable. They also only had plastic utensils which made cutting into the hard croffle difficult. galaxy-ade: very tart, but sugary at the same time. the lychee jelly was too soft for our liking and the ade even mixed tasted predominantly like lemon juice. signature dalgona matcha: I love matcha and dalgona, so naturally was very excited to try this drink. Cute little cafe on Roosevelt by UW. Close to the Roosevelt light rail station which is convenient. Very cute interior and chill vibe. My friend had given me one of their croffles before and I had wanted to try it when it was fresher so we decided to go. We got the strawberry and the matcha croffles. I liked the flavor of the creams on both of the ones we got. The strawberries on top added a tartness that cut the sweetness of the cream. I do wish that the croffle was softer? It was very hard which I wasn't sure was supposed to be the texture. I think it was still good though. We came late so we didn't want to try any of the drinks and they didn't have many onigiris left. Wonderful, kind service and they bring your food straight to you. Bingsoo is very expensive here though because every other spot has it much cheaper. Dalgona Milk Tea with Boba - actually really good tea. I loved the milk tea but did not care for the boba. Boba was chewy but flavorless. Luckily (or maybe not?) they don't give much boba so you don't need to suffer endless chewing. Tea was creamy, sweet from dalgona melting inside, and packed a fair tea flavor. Actually really surprising. Pink Hawaiian Lemonade - actually just pink lemonade. Slightly sour yet sweet, you get what you expect from pink lemonade. Refreshing though. Blueberry Croffle - buddy told me that croffles with the swirl were to way to go. She meant the cream on top and I think I agree. Croffle itself is a perfect texture of crisp yet soft and it's sweet like honey, though you'll want more flavor. I live down the street and the only thing that prevents me from coming in every day is because most of the food feels $2 more expensive than it should be. $2 less is what will get my foot in the door but I would come every day if it was $3 less. Take the galaxy-ade for example: $8 for the smallest size of soda water, lemonade, and a splash of butterfly pea without toppings? $4.50 for an onigiri I could get at a supermarket for $2-3.50? The ordering tablet is very hard to navigate because you have all these fancy drink names and no explanation of what it is! It's not even clear what is included and what is not; instead it'll say "include this only" or "select extra" without telling you the cost of any of it. Please spend some extra time making your tablet user-friendly. While the seating area looks comfortable and has a lot of chargers, I find the emptiness of the shop uncomfortable to work in. Despite One Bite Cafe being open since 2019, this is my first visit (7/14/22). I'm usually visiting other usual favorites in the Roosevelt neighborhood and clearly I've been under a rock. Some Yelpers have recently put the word "croffle" on my radar screen. I usually dislike mash ups or fusion type things, and prefer OG, old school, classic iterations. But recent photos piqued my interest, so after circling a bit for parking due to nearby construction, I finally located this family-run, indie spot. It is next door to the Roosevelt light rail station on NE 65th in between Roosevelt and 12th, north of Whole Foods. Hours are noon to 8pm Wed-Sun, 2-8pm Mon, closed Tues. Perfect for some cafe time or indulging in afternoon/evening treats. The interior is well lit, clean, pleasant decor, and ample onsite seating (no outdoor sidewalk seating). Variety of music and WiFi available, so decent for cafe time and meetups. The entire menu is available via QR code, but thankfully their menu is also displayed on overhead screens at the front counter. They have milk teas, espresso, and signature drinks. There's onigiri, sweet & savory croffles...cream, doughnut, sandwich style, macarons, bingsu desserts, and signature desserts like cream roll cake slices, tiramisu and basque cheesecake. I enjoyed my classic milk tea (16 oz, $4.90), on point with sweetness wise and creamy smooth. The fresh strawberry croffle ($7.25) was a pleasant treat, nicely plated, definitely glad for the fork and knife provided, all presented on a tray. Strawberries were not Skagit Valley red interior, but sweet enough and well selected slices. For the past half hour, it was just me and another person onsite. One takeout order, a group of six teenagers just arrived, and two others right before I left. This was from 1300-1345, so can't speak to atmosphere later in the day. Wow, so glad I found this hidden gem of a cafe. This Asian ran cafe will put a smile on your face. Very limited seating but I doubt you will ever have trouble finding a seat. Parking is also easy. I love how they display their options. Not unordinary, but I still love it. I ordered a black lemonade and a strawberry topped waffle. Both were very delicious. One thing I noticed, they did not ask about sugar and ice levels like a lot of cafes are starting to do. But they did how ever make me a yummy strawberry topped waffle. The creme frosting is a nice touch, however a bit too much for me. I had to remove about a third of the creme frosting. The waffle was also a bit difficult to cut through. We ordered: The black sesame croffle Earl grey cake The cake receives the best Asian compliment in the best way possible: it's not too sweet. It was really airy and pleasant, and the earl grey flavor is pronounced. My only qualm, alas being a small one, is that the frosting had an overpowering and thick cream cheese flavor, which was very polarizing to the cake itself. But it was really nicely baked. But the star of the show: the black sesame croffle. The staff told us that it would take a bit of time as they're prepping it, and the wait was totally worth it. The croffle was crunchy, warm, and delicious, and the black sesame served as a cooling pairing that elevated the dish. Needless to say, we devoured it. And an extra +1 on the design, it was visually pleasing and looked so nice that we HAD to take the IG shot. Unless you have a monstrosity of a mouth, you won't finish these desserts in one bite. But that's a good thing, as these desserts are so enjoyable from start to end, with a huge craving for more afterwards. And with the abundance of flavors, I will be back soon. read more

Some friends and I got to try out this cafe right off of 65th street this past Saturday (7/9/22), and I'll have to say this is an excellent addition to the Roosevelt area! The interior atmosphere is welcoming, however seating is limited. There is a variety of drinks on their menu and a good selection of desserts as well. I ordered the Black Sesame Croffle which I enjoyed especially since there aren't too many dessert places out there that offer croffles nor black sesame flavoured desserts, so it was definitely an exciting find! I did wish that the croffle itself could have been softer, but other than that I would recommend trying it out. I also ordered the Korean Dolce Latte alongside the dessert, and I found it sweet yet refreshing! The drink presentation was nice and I would surely order it again. We took some time to decide what we wanted, they never rushed us and patiently told us 'take your time'. Food: everything we ordered was delicious. I ordered Dolce Coffee, it's a strong coffee, not that sweet, and I personally really like it. Sausage cheese bread contains so much cheese and mayo sauce, rich in flavor! Earl Grey cake- not that sweet, which is great! It's refreshing but not that special, I would give a 6/10. My friends ordered Ice cream croffle, matcha latte, strawberry latte, Oreo cheesecakes, tuna croffle and bulgogi rice ball. They all really like their food. Environment: The cafe is cozy and good for hanging out with friends, board games, or studying. This cafe has so many good items. I specifically love their matcha milk tea and brown sugar milk tea. Both SO good! Haven't tried all the pastries, but I can attest to their croffles and cakes, I highly recommend! A little small inside, but if you find a spot it's a great place to study! read more
