    Sunright Boba Milk Tea
    Sarah H.

I got the sunright milk tea and it was delicious, the tapioca also had the perfect texture. It's so convenient to stop here as well after I grocery shop at Trader Joe's. This is the first time in a couple years that I've gone here and I will definitely be coming back more often. Next time I want to try the newly released fragrant oolong tea!

One of the best milk tea and fruit tea place in Seattle! Love the individual house-made milk and tea favors

Super good milk tea and good selection of drinks ! Good location in udistrict and cap hill

I bought matcha when the Capitol Hill location just opened and it was amazing. Bought the same strawberry matcha from Capitol Hill location it was so disgusting. The staff was welcoming n kind tho.. Edited review... I reached out to them on instagram and voiced my concern and they were amazing so I will say their customer service is commendable.

Matcha Oolong Milk Tea with oat milk upcharge

Stopped by here during our week in Seattle since it's located right next to Trader Joe's! Place is small with one entrance and an exit door on the other side. You can order with the tablets on the side and they'll call the name you input for the order. The matcha oolong milk tea with oat milk upcharge was good, but I can't believe I paid nearly $10 for a drink. Boba was warm and soft. I'm not sure if it comes with boba and I added extra, but it did upcharge me for that as well. You can customize milk options as well as sweetness level. However, I don't think I enjoyed it enough to justify paying the $10. My friend had an Oreo drink which she did enjoy!

This is my favorite boba spot in U-District. However, this is the only place where the actual tapioca balls expand after a while and they don't fit in the straw anymore which really takes away from the drinking experience. If they can fix that issue and be more consistent overall it would be 5 stars from me.

It always smells nice in here and the drinks are always high quality. Great place to stop by after getting groceries from Trader Joe's!

I have been a frequent customer here now for a while and Sunright Tea Studio never disappoints! Staff is always helpful and friendly. Location is next to Trader Joe's with two self order screens available in the entrance area. This shop is more of a to go location. I give a 4.5 stars but round up to 5 stars for only one reason. All of the drinks I've had have been yummy but only thing inconsistent and can be a miss sometimes is the honey boba. Sometimes and has happened more than twice now it will be clumpy and hard to drink through the boba straw. Texture can be inconsistent and I just get annoyed and open the lid and use a spoon to eat the boba tbh. As for the brown sugar boba the texture is always soft and yummy and flavorful. I will stick just to the brown sugar boba from now on. Some drinks that are my favs and I recommend here are the iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with any boba, the Matcha Oolong Milk Tea iced with boba, and the hot Hokkaido Milk Tea with brown sugar boba. If I'm craving boba in the u district this is always top of my list as I know it will satisfy that craving asap! Large menu and helpful staff if you have questions. I can't wait to try more of the menu :) I recommend and will return!

    Sunright Boba Milk Tea

I went to college in LA and at that time, Half and Half was the trendiest boba shop to visit in SGV. After leaving for ten years and visiting again, Sunright had replaced it, at least according to the waiter at the first restaurant I went to after landing. He actually asked me to pick a drink up for him and I agreed, if only because it was a 5 min walk away. I came out very disappointed, with a drink that could only be described as chalky with rock hard boba. Now fast forward to today - I was hesitant to visit the U District branch of Sunright Tea Studio due to my prior bad experience, but decided to give it a chance. The store itself is quite small and is primarily take out only with no permanent seating (only a bench by the window that was covered with water on my visit). There are two kiosks by the door, making ordering easy, and the drinks come out fast. Sunright Boba Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice ($6.95) - The taste of the Ceylon tea is light and mild, a bit overpowered by a caramelized milky taste. I wish they offered lactose free milk as an option, but unfortunately the only option is Oat Milk, which not only adds a whopping $1.50 to the drink, but also typically overpowers the drink with that classic oat milk taste. At any rate, I believe the drink is made with milk powder and I didn't have any issues at the end of the day. The sweetness at 50% is pretty well balanced; I'm surprised that they recommend 100% for this drink. I ordered the drink with less ice, and I can confirm that they do make the drink less ice. They add just a bit over what is required to cool down the drink, so there are only a couple of ice chips remaining. The boba, which is included in this drink, is quite good. It has a good bounce and chew, is almost right in the middle between being too firm and too soft, and is pretty consistent in size. The exterior is mostly smooth; there's just a tiny bit of the very exterior layer that starts to disintegrate. They stick together just a bit thanks to the sweet brown sugar soak. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 I'm glad I gave this chain a second chance. They serve some solid boba, and although it's not my top drink in the U District, I think it's worth a try for anyone in the area. Bathrooms: None that are customer accessible.

Stopped in for the watermelon refresher at bobafest. It was really tasty but there was some gritty pulp at the bottom that I didn't love so I didn't finish it all the way. The service was speedy. The ambiance was kinda noisy and crowded because of bobafest but normally it's more chill.

I did not try any of their sandwiches (there's so many other yummy options near by!) but it seems like they were selling at a decent clip. If I had to identify a weakness, it would be that a lot of times it seems like they have supply chain issues. They did not have lactose-free milk when I visited the past few times. I ultimately ordered an OG milk tea with honey boba (I was also excited to learn that they use nondairy creamer in their milk teas! I've noticed many other establishments in the area do not). My only critique is that they should add a 30% sweetness option to their sugar adjustments. Otherwise, it was perfect! My new boba spot for sure!

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #107…read more I've visited the BobaLust in Lynnwood before and was not impressed. I decided to give them another try, this time at the U District location. Bobalust opens up pretty late for a boba shop - most places start at noon or earlier, but for some reason BobaLust opens at 1PM. This particular location is depressingly dark inside with black painted walls and dark decor. That's a really interesting aesthetic choice (and not my favorite). OG Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Honey Boba ($6.50) - This tea has a strange harsh artificial taste. It's cloyingly sweet and tastes of a very overwhelming kind of flowery and fruity flavor. It doesn't seem to be from the tea and instead may be from either creamer or sweetener. It's overpowering, making the drink very difficult to sip on for my tastes. On top of this strange flavor is a heavy non dairy creamer aroma. It's added in such high quantities that the drink is thickened to almost a cream-like consistency, and has a slight bit of grittiness on the tongue. Even at 50% ice, there's a ton of ice in this drink. After drinking a bit, I went home and added in around 6 ounces of English Breakfast tea and it tempered things down enough to be pleasant. The boba isn't great either. They claim it's honey boba but while the pearls are very heavily sweetened in marinade, I can't detect any honey aroma whatsoever. The texture of the pearls are firm and almost gummy rather than being soft, chewy, and bouncy. Milk Tea Rating: 2/5 Boba Rating: 2/5 I'm still not impressed with this chain. There are way better options in the area for basic milk tea and boba. BobaLust remains in my bottom five boba shops in the Greater Seattle Area out of approximately 100 shops. I never visit this shop often because of their terrible weekday hours but now after my latest bad experience I'm just not returning at all. Not worth it.
