Stopped by here during our week in Seattle since it's located right next to Trader Joe's! Place is small with one entrance and an exit door on the other side. You can order with the tablets on the side and they'll call the name you input for the order. The matcha oolong milk tea with oat milk upcharge was good, but I can't believe I paid nearly $10 for a drink. Boba was warm and soft. I'm not sure if it comes with boba and I added extra, but it did upcharge me for that as well. You can customize milk options as well as sweetness level. However, I don't think I enjoyed it enough to justify paying the $10. My friend had an Oreo drink which she did enjoy! read more

I get the milk tea with pudding whenever I crave boba! The pudding is genuinely the best I have ever had. It's definitely on the pricey side of about $8 per drink not including tip and tax. Service is always great. The place is small with minimal seating but is very strategically situated right next to the Trader Joe's. LOVE THE PUDDING OML! read more

This is my favorite boba spot in U-District. However, this is the only place where the actual tapioca balls expand after a while and they don't fit in the straw anymore which really takes away from the drinking experience. If they can fix that issue and be more consistent overall it would be 5 stars from me. read more

I have been a frequent customer here now for a while and Sunright Tea Studio never disappoints! Staff is always helpful and friendly. Location is next to Trader Joe's with two self order screens available in the entrance area. This shop is more of a to go location. I give a 4.5 stars but round up to 5 stars for only one reason. All of the drinks I've had have been yummy but only thing inconsistent and can be a miss sometimes is the honey boba. Sometimes and has happened more than twice now it will be clumpy and hard to drink through the boba straw. Texture can be inconsistent and I just get annoyed and open the lid and use a spoon to eat the boba tbh. As for the brown sugar boba the texture is always soft and yummy and flavorful. I will stick just to the brown sugar boba from now on. Some drinks that are my favs and I recommend here are the iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with any boba, the Matcha Oolong Milk Tea iced with boba, and the hot Hokkaido Milk Tea with brown sugar boba. If I'm craving boba in the u district this is always top of my list as I know it will satisfy that craving asap! Large menu and helpful staff if you have questions. I can't wait to try more of the menu :) I recommend and will return! read more

I went to college in LA and at that time, Half and Half was the trendiest boba shop to visit in SGV. After leaving for ten years and visiting again, Sunright had replaced it, at least according to the waiter at the first restaurant I went to after landing. He actually asked me to pick a drink up for him and I agreed, if only because it was a 5 min walk away. I came out very disappointed, with a drink that could only be described as chalky with rock hard boba. Now fast forward to today - I was hesitant to visit the U District branch of Sunright Tea Studio due to my prior bad experience, but decided to give it a chance. The store itself is quite small and is primarily take out only with no permanent seating (only a bench by the window that was covered with water on my visit). There are two kiosks by the door, making ordering easy, and the drinks come out fast. Sunright Boba Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice ($6.95) - The taste of the Ceylon tea is light and mild, a bit overpowered by a caramelized milky taste. I wish they offered lactose free milk as an option, but unfortunately the only option is Oat Milk, which not only adds a whopping $1.50 to the drink, but also typically overpowers the drink with that classic oat milk taste. At any rate, I believe the drink is made with milk powder and I didn't have any issues at the end of the day. The sweetness at 50% is pretty well balanced; I'm surprised that they recommend 100% for this drink. I ordered the drink with less ice, and I can confirm that they do make the drink less ice. They add just a bit over what is required to cool down the drink, so there are only a couple of ice chips remaining. The boba, which is included in this drink, is quite good. It has a good bounce and chew, is almost right in the middle between being too firm and too soft, and is pretty consistent in size. The exterior is mostly smooth; there's just a tiny bit of the very exterior layer that starts to disintegrate. They stick together just a bit thanks to the sweet brown sugar soak. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 I'm glad I gave this chain a second chance. They serve some solid boba, and although it's not my top drink in the U District, I think it's worth a try for anyone in the area. Bathrooms: None that are customer accessible. read more

This is a very small boba shop located next to Trader Joe's. There isn't really seating room, it's more of a grab and go boba shop. You place your order at the kiosk when you walk in. Got the mango Chamoy with boba. SOOO good and refreshing, lots of chamoy at the bottom super tangy. Definitely mix the drink well otherwise you will be drinking straight chamoy. Think they use dry mango because I got some bits of at the bottom of my drink. Boba was nice and chewy, the outside was on the softer side but inside was still chewy and not mushy. Was on the expensive side of boba though, only a few pennies off from $10 for this drink. Only self order kiosk. Wasn't that busy when I went at ~5:30 on a weekday. read more

I was so excited when I found out Sunright Tea Studio was opening up here in Seattle. My friend told me this was a popular boba spot in CA so I knew it had to be good! It is conveniently located next to Trader Joe's so parking is accessible but there can be a lot of congestion in the area. I made the drive all the way down from up north just to try it out. There isn't a place to hang out so it's more like an order and take out boba spot which isn't an issue for me anyways. They have self-order kiosks inside which makes ordering a breeze. I've tried a couple items from the menu since it has opened up and I'm pleasantly surprised that it lived up to my expectations. I absolutely love the blended drinks. I've had the creme brûlée boba and matcha strawberry latte. The drinks are huge so it took me a while to finish the drink. I feel like it's hard to find a good matcha strawberry latte, but this one was pretty good. Even with 100% sugar level, it erred on not so sweet side. Matcha strawberry latte could have been a little sweeter but this was still good. Creme brûlée drink was right on with the sweetness. Boba is on softer side and they packed some flavor. read more

I wanted to like this place so much especially after reading some of the reviews but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. I ordered online and the drinks were late. I found the drinks to be slightly pricer than other places. The boba was too soft and "slippery". I had a few in there that were a little firmer (which is personally how I prefer it to be). My husband got the taro milk tea and it was powdery (even after he shook it well). The staff member was friendly and polite when I asked if the drinks were going to be much longer. It's a very a small place right next to Trader Joe's. Bench area to wait for your drink while it's being made. No other seating available. It's more of a grab and go...I think this place is a hit and miss depending on how you like your boba! read more

The location is how they get yah! Right next to Trader Joe's and in U district. The ordering system is easy, walk in and order on a screen. Make sure you sign up to get points so you can get some $$ off after so many drinks you buy! There's a small area to sit next to the window that faces the counter where they make drinks. Sunright is located next to Trader Joe's and has accessible parking through a parking garage. The place itself is very small and can get crowded quickly. I would not recommend this place as a hang out spot and would just grab and go. I ordered the matcha oolong milk tea with honey boba, which I've had before, and I absolutely love the fragrance of the oolong tea here. The boba is soft but chewy, and the matcha is also wonderful! My boyfriend ordered the four seasons got the four seasons latte with honey boba, which was also nice, but I definitely prefer the matcha oolong milk tea since I love matcha. The teas here are so flavorful and I would definitely come here again, only downside is that the tea seems to contain a lot of caffeine and it kept us up all night. So I wouldn't try drinking this later in the day. read more

Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made an otherwise difficult day a little easier. Great service can make a real difference, and she absolutely delivered. Salty's isn't the cheapest dining option at SEA, but between the quality of the food, the relaxed atmosphere, and the outstanding service, I think it's well worth it. I left 15% and honestly felt that was generous for what I received. At these prices, the food needs to be executed properly and the service needs to match. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. If you're looking for a boba shop that's conveniently located next to Trader Joe's, look no further than Sunright. After all, who doesn't love getting a sugar rush after a long day of grocery shopping? Let's start by talking about the boba, which was the real star of the show. It's chewy, it's satisfying, and it's just what you need to give your jaw that much-needed workout. The texture alone is enough to make you forget that you're basically drinking a cup of sugar. That's right. A cup of sugar. Even at 50%, the drinks can be a bit overwhelming for some people. But hey, if you're feeling adventurous, go ahead and order at 100% sweetness. 've only ever eaten sunright once, in Irvine, so I was overjoyed when one opened up here! We purchased online because we weren't sure whether the queue would be really lengthy and spent the time waiting by perusing the trader joe's store next door. Even though it indicated at checkout that the order will be ready in about 30 minutes, placing an order online only took about 5 minutes. They were Very generous with the oreo component when I ordered the oreo brulee with 75% sugar. After thoroughly combined, it tastes great. Also, the cups are enormously full. read more

I had the mango jasmine tea. Even with 50% sugar, the drink was still pretty sweet. The environment was great and staff were very kind. I'd definitely come back for some fruit tea, still have yet to try the milk tea though. Pricing is not too bad either.The drinks came out great and delicious, ice and sugar level perfectly fit my taste. Plus, you can easily find parking even though it is located in U District. I thought it was tasty but nothing special. On top of the croffle is like a simple sweet custard whip and they sprinkle matcha powder on top. I am glad I gave it a try but wouldn't order it again. The basque cheesecakes look intriguing and popular but small and pricey so don't know if I'll try that in the future. The latter is very tea forward and thankfully not overly sweet. Definitely more room and seating than my prior visit to their CID location. Between the blenders whirring, smooth jazz/instrumental, screeching chairs on the floor, the loud exuberant gamers...overall not giving me a cohesive vibe. It improved briefly after some folks departed. Good to see a steady flow of customers. I did like my milk tea though. Lychee inside the drink also provided more sweetness that the milk tea itself didn;t have too much of. Between this place and ComeBuyTea nearby, I could honestly go for either and I know I would get quality milk tea regardless! My niece suggested that we see if this place was actually Seattle Best Tea. The interior was crowded, so we thought that it must be a popular place. There were people standing in line and a small group sitting in the back of the shop. Service was efficient and polite. I was told that wintermelon tea cannot be served hot. That's ok... I can drink it with less ice on a chilly, cloudy afternoon. Since toppings were free, I got rainbow jelly. Yay! Thank you! We'll be back if we're in the area again!
