    H7. Thai-Style Soup Noodle (Beef)

The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated for the holidays. Warm and cozy in a cold day...we got chicken satay to start, which was very tasty, can't go wrong with a good peanut sauce! Then my friend got chicken phad thai and I ordered the Thai soup with beef, (only complaint for me was the "mysterious balls" in the soup, I don't know what they were, I took a bite and they had a very strange the texture. Upon further investigation I read that these balls are traditional look chin made from pulverized meat and tendon to give them a "bouncy" firm texture, not appetizing to me but that's just a personal preference. If your into the traditional stuff they do it here ;) All in all the meal was quite good and the service was friendly and fast. I will be back.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy my meal at all. The ingredients tasted cheap and seemed thrown together. My food came out to fast as well. Which is a weird complaint. I think that explains why the food wasn't good. If you don't eat much thai it's probably tasty to you. I didn't even like my Miso soup. Its unfortunate. Thai restaurants aren't cheap so I just expect the food to taste pretty good. Not perfect but at least good.

We came with my family tonight, and service was great. Food came out fast and everything was tasty. I chose a level 3 with my food and it definitely had a good kick to it. The Thai restaurant has a diner feel to it and the decor is very cute.

The Penang curry chicken is a favorite. It's creamy and flavorful. They also have lunch portions - which is great if you're feeling for a smaller meal.

Solid Thai in a nice setting. Tried the Nua Nomtok and Pad Kee Mao. Each was fresh and perfectly cooked and balanced. Crispy veges and great flavor. Thai hot was doable and spot on for heat.

!! Whoa! It tastes and looks fantastic under the new administration. What a makeover! The new interiors are gorgeous and a total 180! I got the pumpkin curry tonight for the first time because I live next door, and it was delicious andfresh, with gorgeous white meat slices. I'm excited to go back soon--perhaps even to eat there! :) Well done on the improved recipes and the renovation.

I remember the days when you'd see them sitting at the corner table, hand-folding wontons right in front of you. They've gotten so busy now that they do it in the back, and if you don't time your visit right, be prepared to wait in a long line. This is my absolute go-to combo on a chilly day, and honestly, the best hangover cure: Wonton Noodle Soup, Cod Fish Congee, Chinese Broccoli, and Chinese Donuts (Youtiao). You cannot skip the donuts--they are a must! My personal ritual is adding a splash of pink vinegar and chili paste into the congee, dipping the donut in, and taking a huge bite. It's pure comfort that warms you up from the inside out and instantly heals a tired soul. My husband prefers the beef wonton noodle soup because it's rich and hearty, but I love the classic, clean flavor of the plain wonton soup with its seafood-based broth. A quick heads-up: The service is typical for an authentic, bustling Chinese restaurant--don't expect fancy fine-dining treatment, but the staff is genuinely friendly and efficient. Also, **it's CASH ONLY**, so come prepared! Among the handful of restaurants I've stayed loyal to for 20+ years, this spot holds a very special place in my heart. Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I stopped in before a flight, which in hindsight was a mistake. We ordered around 12:30 PM (niku beef udon, garlic pork udon, and chicken karaage), and it took nearly an hour to receive everything. The karaage came out first after about 40 minutes, then one udon about 10 minutes later, and the final dish close to an hour after ordering. Because of this, we weren't able to eat together unless one of us let our food go cold. On top of that, the restaurant itself was uncomfortably cold, which made the long wait feel even worse. It also seemed like many other tables were experiencing similar issues--orders coming out at different times or missing entirely, with customers having to repeatedly follow up. What stood out most was the lack of communication. There was no acknowledgment of the delays, no check-ins, and no apology--not when the food was dropped off, and not even when we left. Given that we had to pay upfront and the price point was $20+ per bowl, it made the experience feel even more disappointing. While the portions were decent and the noodles seemed handmade, the food itself didn't feel particularly special to justify the wait or cost. I truly hope this feedback is helpful. With better timing, communication, and overall service, I think the experience could be much better.

The sayap ayam pedas was a huge portion for just 2 people, but we couldn't stop eating. The combination of soy sauce and fish sauce was not overpowering at all and the chicken itself was so juicy. The chicken curry in the nasi lemak was delicious with the coconut rice. Along with the anchovies, egg, peanuts, and sambal, it was a choose-your-own-adventure kind of bite. The kaya toast was the perfectly sweet dish to balance out all the flavors. I especially loved dipping it in the poached egg for a satisfyingly runny bite. This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles.
