Miss Pho in Seattle is... okay, and this might be a bit of a hot take. The pho is decent. Not bad, but not something I'd go out of my way for. The broth leans noticeably sweet, which some people may enjoy, but it does suggest a bit of a shortcut compared to more traditional styles. The standout was the beef rib. It was delicious and a real showstopper, but at $28, it feels hard to justify. Service was great. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant will likely do very well given its location and the crowd it attracts. Been a while since I came back here 2 years ago as part of a solo trip, now it's with a bestie from LA on Valentine's Day when I should have booked something for the two of us much earlier! The drive up here is pretty far from the greater Seattle area but you don't have to worry too much about parking since it shares a plaza with several other businesses. I got their Miss Pho Special, which is your regular pho with a huge beef rib where the meat pulls of so easily! There's also steak, tripe, meatballs, a ton of onions, a raw egg yolk and all the regular works and aromatic tastes of a pho. This whole thing itself is pretty pricey comapred to their other two signature pho (pho Hanoi and pho sa te), but it's probably because of the huge beef rib. A huge bowl regardless, but still pricey. Food wise, I'd take friends here for the novelty since you don't ever really see pho with a large beef rib AND an egg yolk in the same bowl. The Thai Tea here was sooooooo delicious...might've been one of the best Thai Teas I've had and I've tried many. This place sure gets busy for a reason! We waited about 15 minutes for a table and once seated we were greeted by a friendly waitress who answered all of our questions kindly. Miss Pho is my favorite pho place in all of Seattle. Lots of my friends agree that they're the best pho spot in the city. You can see by my sheer amount of photos how much I love this place. My favorites are the beef rib pho and the summer rolls. I also love the Thai tea. The mango coco is a current seasonal special and it is exceptional. Absolutely order any mango products during mango season -- you won't be disappointed. The pho has so much depth of flavor, as well as perfectly cooked noodles, beef, and onions. There's a lot of toppings and you can always ask for more bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and lime. I love trying the broth first and then adding everything else in. Miss pho also does their own speciality phos that no other shops do, such as the Ha Noi, a wok fried beef one with pickled garlic, or a spicy version. They are so creative and just as delicious as the traditional versions. The staff are also very friendly and there are never long waits for food or drink (but there might be for a seat!). They also have large tables for bigger parties so it's a perfect meeting spot as well. There's also some bar seats for individual diners. Once an occasioned raised, my friends and I hopped on the opportunity to come try it out! However, not too long after our food was served to us. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Styled Crispy Chicken Wings to share. I ordered one of their signature phởs, the Phở Hà Nội. It has wok sautéed beef shank, topped with a creamy raw egg yolk and pickled garlic, served with traditional phở beef broth. The crispy chicken wings were SO GOOD. I wish we ordered both styles to try them both. It was crispy, freshly food, and juicy! The phở broth was good, but the bowl overall was a bit underwhelming given it was $18 for it. My younger brother wanted to stop by here for his birthday dinner as he says the broth here is one of the pho broths that he has ever had. I do feel like they should reduce the amount of lettuce provided at the end of the roll as it was hard to eat unless you wrapped it around but that could get messy. The peanut sauce that came with it was delicious although my boyfriend and brother said they prefer other peanut sauce dipping sauces as they said it was more on the sweeter side. I didn't mind it and enjoyed the crispy garlic on the top. It took some time to received our food but once it arrived, the aroma and presentation was lovely. The pho broth is very comforting and tasted the most authentic as I have had authentic pho broth before. No one spice or flavor profile was too strong or weak, it was balanced perfectly. My Pho Bo Sa Te was also very interesting as it had a good hint of peanut flavor without it being the main flavor profile. It was spicy but not as bad as what a level 5 spicy broth would be. In addition, the broth had no MSG what so ever as none of us were needing to drink excessive amounts of water or feel drowsy. Service here was really odd as when we entered, our main waiter meekly asked how many but only my boyfriend heard him. He pointed to a free table and brought us waters. It took some time get our order in but he would bring us our food quickly. However, afterwards there is no check in until you look like you're finished as that's when they stopped by with the check. I have been looking for some delicious Pho in the greater Seattle area and I am so glad that I was able to find Miss Pho which definitely fit the bill. We went on a Saturday around 7PM and had a brief 5 minute wait before we were able to get seated at the bar. Miss Pho is located in the shopping plaza with a QFC nearby, so there should be ample parking in the area. The restaurant did seem very busy when we went, as there was a constant stream of people coming in and out of the restaurant - there like 3 parties of people ahead of us. Seating as other reviewers have mentioned is limited, I would estimate about 20-25 at most can be seated at a time. Luckily for us, we moved faster in the wait list the parties were 3-4 people we were able to get bar seating with 2. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice! There are decorations that are Vietnamese inspired and I am a fan of the open kitchen, there is a nice liveliness seeing bowls of pho being transported and the big stockpot brewing the aromatic broth! Service is good, we ordered and were able to get our food about 10-15 minutes after ordering. We got a couple of items, which I'll review down below: Miss Pho Special ($26): This is a novel bowl of pho! A large beef rib with decent amount of meat on the bone. The meat was tender and there was a good amount of onion to diversify the texture in the bowl. You can taste some of the aromatics such as cinnamon in the broth, which is pleasing. As nice of a bowl of pho as this was, I think I also do agree with some of the other reviewers mentioning that it does feel a bit more style over substance - like the egg yolk was nice, but this was the first time seeing (at least for me) presented in a bowl of pho. Price-wise, $26 for a bowl of pho does lean expensive for sure - I think I wanted to try it out to gauge the flavor, but I don't think I will order it again next time. Fresh Vermicelli Bowl with Pork ($18): The pork had a delicious smokey barbecue with a pleasant lemongrass flavor, and the pork was sliced in a way that allowed for maximum barbecue flavor. The herbs were refreshing and I am a big fan of the basil and mint, as it gave the bowl a pop of aromatic flavor between the flavorful pork. Miss Mango Coco ($8): Wanted to try out the Miss Mango Coco as it is a seasonal item. It is a big heaping drink as you can see in the photo! It is nice and refreshing as you basically have a mango slushie ice tower with a cool coconut mixture at the bottom. Crispy Taro Rolls ($8): The crispy taro rolls were decent - they were fried well and the filling was definitely packed with taro. I do think that the rolls on their own don't have a lot of flavor, as they are mostly taro packed, but taste better with the dipping sauce options that it comes with. I think as good as this appetizer was, I might go with a different option in the future. The food served at Miss Pho was scrumptious and is a very solid place if you are looking to get your Vietnamese food fill. Though it does lean pricier in terms of price per bowl of pho that I have personally experienced ($19 - $26 seems to be average in greater Seattle), I do think you get a higher quality in comparison to comparable Vietnamese restaurants with the quality of the broth, meat, service, etc. One thing that I wished that Miss Pho offered was additional option to customize the pho, like the best Pho restaurants that I have been to have had all the combinations of meat possible listed in the menu (Like if I wanted just rare steak and tendon, and brisket, and I could get just that). The preset bowls are nice and all, but the extra customization would make this place better in my opinion. This spot might be my new favorite photo place in Seattle, and unfortunately sucks for me being farther away. The parking lot is a crowded strip next to QFC, while the restaurant is small internally. The beef pho broth here is tremendously flavorful (and aromatic where your face and clothes retain the smell too) while the portion of noodles and meat is rewarding and proportionate to the size and price. The pho Hanoi special beef shank was just a bit different with its garlic taste, otherwise the chin (brisket) was plentiful and thicker giving it a good bite, rather than other places that do it paper thin. It can be crowded on weekends, but they take your orders as you're next on the waitlist to snag a table, which makes the turnover more efficient. Side note: $80+ after tax and tip for 1 app and 3 pho bowls hurts me by principle, but you do get what you pay for. read more

I've been to Miss Pho a handful of times now and have never had a bad experience! The service is great and even when there is a wait, it seems to go pretty fast. They have unique pho options that you don't see elsewhere. My favorite is the Pho Ha Noi ($20) and I also love the fried chicken wings. The pho is very good. It's one of the top pho places in Seattle. I honestly don't understand why I slept on it for so long, while this is one of the closer pho shops from my home. I recommend coming in at off hours because this place gets crazy packed. Everyone seem to know about this place. I went around 5 pm on a weekday and the seats filled very quickly then. I went another time on Sunday night, thinking people would be chilling at home, but the place was even more packed than the last time I was there. People were waiting in their car in the parking lot. I took the bus to the shop so I was waiting outside, but the staff realized I was the only one waiting in the cold and she let me sit in the little chair by the counter. I thought that was so nice of her. Fortunately, since I was there by myself, I got seated very quickly at the counter. So far, I tried the classic pho with rare rib eye steak and pho with beef on the bone, as pictured. I actually preferred the pho with the beef on the bone because you can take it out immediately before the fat from the meat makes the soup very heavy. They use tender meat which I appreciate, but the meat is also quite fatty - I prefer lighter broth so I think I need to find the kind of meat that's not too heavy next time. My friend said Phở Hà Nội is the best item here but I'm also curious about the non-pho items as well. read more

Nut allergy friendly: I would be careful of the special "Pho Bo Sa Te", which comes with peanuts on top; I ordered the "Miss Pho Special" which is the beef rib pho and had no issues. Time-to-Order: 7 MInutes We got here at almost exactly 7PM on a Saturday night and got the last remaining table. However, I don't think there would be that long of a wait, despite previous reviews. They get bowls out FAST and the main wait time would be just waiting for people to eat them. I ordered the "Miss Pho Special" and the first thing you see is the huge beef rib sticking out of the bowl. Unfortunately... I will say, it doesn't live up to the hype. The beef rib is surprisingly tough as if it's overcooked, but maybe I'm spoiled from other beef rib from Texas. You definitely have to bite into the rib and it won't just fall off with chopsticks. The lean beef in the dish was also a bit overcooked and tough. However! The rest of the beef pho is very good. Broth is hearty with the beef flavor and just enough salt and spice. The noodles had great chewiness. There was a good balance of protein and the size of the dish was enough to actually leave me full, which I almost never am with a regular Pho bowl. I wasn't really sure what the point of the egg yolk was other than aesthetics.. I didn't really think it did anything with the dish, but maybe I was supposed to down it in one bite instead of mixing it in. So, I wouldn't order the beef rib special again (especially because it's a bit pricey, about $33 after tax and tip), but I'd totally go for a normal Large bowl.
