Tried this spot for a late lunch with a friend and really enjoyed it. The interior is warm, inviting, and has an open-seating setup. We ordered the Thai red curry, pad Thai, krapow with ground pork and a sunny-side-up egg, and the sai-ua herb sausage. Service was quick, and the food came out fast for a late lunch. Even though I'm usually not a big fan of sausage, the sai-ua was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly--honestly impressive. My favorite dish was the krapow; it was so delicious that I'd happily drive out of my way just for that. The red curry was good--not outstanding--but curry lovers will appreciate it. The pad Thai It leans slightly on the sweeter side, but the overall quality is excellent. We finished with mango sticky rice. The mangoes aren't quite like Asian mangoes, but for what's available in the U.S., it was still a satisfying dessert--not overly sweet and a nice way to end the meal. Overall, I highly recommend this place. The food quality and service were both excellent.

We went around 7:00 pm and the place was packed. Luckily, there was one table available and we were seated within about 5 minutes (around 7:05 pm). The service, however, was very slow. The server came to take our order after 10 minutes, but we didn't receive water until 7:40 pm, and our food arrived around 7:50 pm about 30 minutes later. The wait time felt quite long. When you first walk in, the seafood smell is quite strong, although it does subside after about 10 minutes. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and asked for it very spicy. It was indeed spicy, but it lacked flavor. I was surprised to see green beans in the dish, which was actually a nice touch, and it did come with a lot of vegetables. Overall, though, I don't think I'll be returning.
Larb Thai is a fantastic addition to the Seattle food scene. After hearing about it since it opened last year, we finally ordered takeout -- mainly because we'd been eager to try their duck salad. The Larb Ped did not disappoint at all: incredibly flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and with a great spice kick. We also ordered the Lao style papaya salad with salted crab and pork rinds, and the chicken pad Thai, and every dish was outstanding. The flavors were well balanced, bold, and the different textures of the ingredients played so well together. Everything had that satisfying, authentic Thai heat and depth. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the area, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. If you're looking for delicious Thai food with strong, well-balanced flavors, Larb Thai is absolutely worth checking out.
Service is super bad!!!!!! They didn't have enough server, so even though there were empty tables, we still waited for 30 min (we were 2nd on the list!). Then, we wanted to take the order right after we are seated but after called for the server multiple times, she said "a second"multiple times, instead she took orders for other tables first which came after us. She just ignored us!!!! After 20 min on the table we finally got to order. HOWEVER!! They said we can't order the Jim joom(hotpot) because it's too late?! Too late?! Isn't it because you ignored us leading us to this situation?! We would have been able to order food 20 min ago. Also it's weird, it 8:20pm which is 40 min to closing, why there was not enough time to enjoy?! I don't understand! The food?! To be honest, with this service, no matter how amazing the food is we won't came again! We waited 30min till the food came!!! Almost one hour after we seated we finally got to eat! How come this restaurant has a 4.6 score?! Last, food is good to eat. But this service? I'd rather go to Kin Len Thai....
Hubby and I wanted to try new restaurant in town for Thai. We ordered the usual Thai dishes. 1. Pad thai-- meh... it was definitely mediocre quality. 2. Pad see ew-- soft tofu was hard but noodles had nice flavor. 3. Tom yum soup-- sooooo salty I had to pour extra water in. 4. Fried egg rolls--fried nicely and was very crispy. This was only thing I liked. 5. Sticky rice-- came in a small weave basket thing but the hot rice inside was wrapped in saran wrap. We all know the harmful effects of saran wrap on hot foods. Definitely not ordering this again The server was nice but looked busy as she was the only one in the hall. Overall, I probably would not return here. It wasn't for me.
Chinese hot pot. Japanese hot pot. But have you tried Thai hot pot? I went with the seafood + meat set and everything was fantastic. The meat was perfectly tender, and the broth had this wonderful mild flavor that felt lighter and healthier than the super spicy options you usually find. It was flavorful without being overwhelming. The real star though? The sauces. Seriously addicting. I kept going back for more and it made the experience so much more interesting. Generous portions, but you might be seriously tempted by the appetizer offerings too. The interior is adorable and well-designed. Service was excellent, which doesn't surprise me since the owners also run another Thai restaurant in Roosevelt (which is also the best!!!!). I'm so proud to support such great people in the community. Will definitely be coming back!
Tried the Tum Talay - seafood combo papaya salad with a fermented fish sauce. Toned it down and just did 4 star spicy which still hit through most of the dish. Very nice balance of squid, shrimp, mussel, scallops and the papaya had some crunch. Appetizer was Moo Sam Chan Tod Nampla (deep fried crispy pork with tamarind chili sauce) that was so good I just forgot utensils. It's easily enough for two - three as a starter. Dessert was Bua Loy (rice balls with young coconut in sweet condensed milk) - warm and delicious! I went in pre dinner time so service was quick, friendly, and easy going. Parking behind the restaurant that is also accessible from 32nd ave NE. They had the aircon turned up for the warm weather so it was a bit cool since the place wasn't full yet. Mid to low lighting with light background music.
I'm so happy to see this new Thai restaurant offering nontraditional Thai dishes that actually taste good and authentic. They have a wide variety on the menu, and luckily we went with a big group so we got to try a lot. I'd say about 90% of the dishes were on point. The papaya salad was the only one that wasn't consistent. We reordered it because the first one was great, but the second didn't quite hit the mark. Portions are on the smaller side, so I'd recommend ordering two dishes per person. That said, the total cost was very reasonable. Service was great and very attentive even though they were really busy. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.
Lovely ambiance and decor, nice service, clean and delicious food. The portions were pretty good and the presentation was very pretty. I do have to mention, however, that the round dish with the hole in the middle (I'm guessing it's traditional) isn't practical, especially when it's holding ice cream that melts. The area of the restaurant also feels a bit sketchy.. but again, food is delicious and staff is super nice!
We came at 5:30 on Thursday party of 6 and were seated right away. This is what we ordered. Overall the food was good, sometimes a little oily, I would come here again to try the other foods. I would recommend coming here. There's also big parking in the back and a back entrance too GET DESSERT! The 3 ice cream plate had coconut, Thai tea, mango and jellies and the combo is delicious. I'd come back here just for this. Larb moo salad 2/5 because it was super duper oily. The herbs were good but it did come with only 1 piece of lettuce Sausage appetizer 5/5 good for a sausage had unique flavor Sausage with herb appetizer 5/5 strong lemon grass flavor good portion size Pad Thai Chicken 4/5 yummy but pretty sweet for my liking Tom yum soup 4/5 also sweet, came with a lot of shrimp which is a big plus I think we had 12 shrimp pieces. Pretty sweet Eggplant with pork 3/5 also pretty oily and more meat than eggplant Pad see ew with beef 4/5 I liked how crispy the meat was but the portion was smaller than the others
Honestly, food was decent and would be 4.5 stars, but the service was just so bad. Our main server was fine and polite, but the other server was extremely rude. They did not serve us water and we had to ask for it, even though other tables that came after us received it. The main issue is the other server, who we tried to ask for a couple of napkins and spoon-- who just made eye contact and ignored us. The second time we tried to ask her for some water, she walked past and told us in a rude tone that she'll be back, but she never came back and we had to flag down a different waiter.
Came here a couple weeks ago, back again tonight for more! I think this is going to be on our regular rotation now. Location/Parking: Right along Lake City way sandwiched between a couple restaurants - lots of parking behind the restaurant. Ambiance: Very busy Thai street feel. Service: Amazing - waitress was very helpful pinpointing new dishes for us to try. It was our second time and wanted to venture out to new dishes. Food: The good: Larb Ped - Ground duck with crispy duck skin, - this was the surprising winner - the fresh herbs and bit of crunch - wow - will definitely order this one again in the future. Tom Zab - we ordered the beef version of this. Beef was very tender, broth was on the sour side but not in a bad way, loved the fresh herbal flavor in this dish. Green Curry - so we get this dish pretty much everywhere we go, but this place - I don't know what they do, but the flavors are so much better at this place. Krapow with Fried Egg - we ordered the ground chicken one last time, and it was good. We ordered this beef this time and my husband liked it better. I liked both - I think this dish is great because it's a whole meal - comes with rice and a couple slices of cucumber that you can just call your veggies for the day. And who doesn't like a crispy runny egg over the top?! The okay: Tum Luang Prabang - savory noodle salad packed with flavors. I think the flavor combo wasn't my favorite but I'm still glad I tried it. I think I'll go with another salad next time though. The bad: Nothing. Recommendation: Try it. I'm sure it'll become a regular spot for you too. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Ask your server for recommendations for more authentic, off the beaten path dishes! read more
Small-ish, unassuming restaurant with fantastic food! Our daughter lives in the area, and this was one of the best recommendations she made. Everything about Larb made us feel welcome. The staff was friendly and efficient - even though it was busy, everyone got taken care of quickly. There were no surprises on the menu - all the classics we expected to see were present, even though we ended up ordering a couple of dishes that may have been unique to Larb. Overall, our experience was welcoming, comfortable, friendly, and delicious. FYI, the sign was a little difficult to pick out from the driver's seat of my car, so check your GPS before you go, if you're not a regular. read more
Hands down some of the best Thai food I've had in the area. I love Isan food. And they do it absolutely right here. There was not thing we ordered that wasn't divine. Not pictured but grilled squid was absolutely perfect. Light seasoning that delivered a strong punch & so tender. I absolutely still salivate over this. The Sai Krok Isarn (pork sausage) was everything it's supposed to be. It's tangy, fermented with a slightly sour flavor. It's grilled with crispy skin and juicy interior. The Tum Luang Prabang (LAO) is everything it is supposed to be. The papaya ribbons were fresh and crunchy. The sauce was dank and funky and sour and just as spicy as I asked. Nham Khao Tod is the most perfect. The crispy rice with fermented pork and pork skins, fresh herbs, peanuts. It was savory, tangy, amazing textural variety. The Pad Thai was sweet and savory and coated in just the right amount of sauce. Tom Zab is a balanced of sour and spicy with tender riblets. The mango and sticky rice is the perfect way to end a meal. The savory notes from coconut milk with the sweet mango. Butterfly tea lemonade was delicious as it was beautiful. I can't wait to come back. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and really understood when I was telling her i wanted my food Pet Pet. They didn't waiver once on my spice level. I asked about a Lao/thai dish that i didn't see on the menu and she told me about two other options I could get. And indeed I did. And just that extra thoughtfulness went the extra mile for me. Visited Larb Thai today and we'll definitely be going back! The server was incredibly sweet and engaged with us, offering her suggestions. Lots of locals were sitting in. 10:1 rule definitely applies to this restaurant. Food was so good. We all tried something we've never had before and we had no complaints. My grandmother (who lived in Thailand for 4 years) noted that it definitely hit close to home. read more

Loved this new Thai spot! Most dishes were authentic and delicious, though the papaya salad was hit or miss. Portions are small order two per person but prices are reasonable and service was excellent. Can't wait to go back! read more

Second visit and omg this place is so good! It's northern Thai food so they have hot pots and other on the menu but we got the salmon curry the pad se ew and basil fried rice. Excellent food awesome vibe excellent service! read more

We visited Larb Thai for lunch when they first opened. The interior was cheery and bright, with peppy modern southeast asian pop music playing divertingly. Our waitress knew exactly how to help us order the perfect appetizers and sides so everyone had just what they wanted. Even though my family has eaten and cooked Thai food for 20 years, we were able to find many dishes we'd never seen before - all of them in ample portions with thick, flavorful sauces and curries. I was especially pleased with the soup, which came in a massive flame-heated dish. The meat was extremely tender, compared to other places that make the chicken or pork too overdone in slow-cooked stews and curries. All this for about $16 per entree, nice and fast at lunchtime, and we all left with leftovers that we're itching to have all over again. If you're looking for "Thai Comfort Food", your search is over! read more

Larb Thai has some of the most authentic Isan (NE Thailand) dishes on their menu that I've ever seen at a Seattle area Thai restaurant. Their prices are reasonable, and they have a "Happy Hour" list of $10 entrees. I ordered the Gaeng Om Gai, which was really good and included Thai eggplant and a lot of lean pieces of chicken breast meat. I also ordered their mushroom Larb, which was amazing, A-ROI MAK! (delicious), and the closest thing to authentic Larb that you can order outside of Thailand. All the ingredients in both dishes were fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Larb Thai has to be one of the best Seattle area Thai restaurants that I've ever eaten at, and I highly recommend it! read more

Most authentic and delicious Thai in north Seattle. Had the pad see eiw and they made it with crispy pork belly by special request. Absolutely perfect ! Family owned and incredibly friendly staff! read more
