We heard from two of our neighbors about Bulwark Exterminating and we decided to try them out. We were worried about our dogs and the chemicals used so I asked the customer service person when I called and she explained there is no danger to our animals. The technician showed up on time and was very friendly and thorough. John Patrick was the technician and explained what to expect when he comes back every other month and if we ever need service in between to call him. He explained that the chemicals used would not hurt the dogs either which is what we wanted to make sure of. I would definitely recommend them! read more

This is a scam experience for me. They made a quote but we didn't use the service. Two months later I started to receive bills!

This company is a joke. When I signed up, I was informed they come out every 60 days versus 90 days because products tend to break down. My family owns a pest control company (granted in a different city from where I live hence why I didn't use them) and that company, including any other company I've used has always recommended quarterly. I think this is a ploy to get more money of you. The technician didn't show up. I called before they closed and they unfortunately couldn't get a hold of him and asked if I wanted to reschedule. While I was on the phone with customer service, my call waiting beeped and when I switched over, it was another rep from the company telling me that the tech was 15 minutes away so I told them to go ahead and send him. While the tech was there, I got a voicemail from the company stating that they were sorry they couldn't get anyone out and to call them back to either reschedule or address the account. When the tech arrived, he gave me a piece of paper to sign that stated they would come out every other month for a term of a year. I told them I wasn't signing that because: 1) I wanted to see how this service went and 2) I was told there was no contract. He said, "Well they say that because we don't charge anything if you want to cancel." The tech also told me that he would be spraying the baseboards. I personally don't care if they spray the baseboards but when I scheduled the appointment, the scheduler said, "We are different than other pest control companies since we don't spray baseboards since we treat the entry points." OK? The next day, I called and asked to cancel the account. The supervisor did offer 50% off my next service but I was not interested. She then stated that they would cancel my service without additional fees. I said, "I hope so since when I signed up I was told there was no contract." They do get good reviews and a colleague of mine loves them so maybe they are for some people but I will not be using them again. read more

Daniel Vinson is a wonderful pest technician! He's always in a cheerful mood and extremely polite. I always appreciate the work he does. He makes sure everything is taken care of before he leaves and even remembers past pest problems and will check up on them to make sure they are no longer an issue. I wanted to thank Hector Arenas for the great appointment today. Since having Bulwark come to my house for a german roach problem a few months ago, the issue has become completely under control. Hector was very informative on exactly what I needed to know about the issue and how to keep it under control. He answered every question I had and I feel like after today I shouldn't have a problem at all anymore. Our technician today Michael Costello was great. He showed up right at the beginning of our time-window (which is always nice), asked a few quick questions and got quickly to work. He asked if we'd had any signs of inside infestations and then explained exactly what he was going to do for us. His work was complete as well as quick. The average review is for the company. My technician today would get 5 stars. I finally had a technician who cared and took the time to correct problems and listen to my concerns. Cody C had to come out to correct an inadequate unsatisfactory job from a previous technician. He made sure the ants were killed that should have been killed by the prior representative. He listened to my concerns and was kind and considerate. As a customer for over 10 years, I've seen this company go downhill fast. If more of your technicians were like Cody C, I wouldn't be contemplating cancelling. read more

Had the same small pest company for 20 years+ till the owner retired last year. Had to find someone new. I really liked Bulwark at the start. Very professional customer service and initial treatment. The issue I have with their service is that they only do the inside/outside the very first time. From then on, although they charge the full rate every quarter, they only do the outside unless you call and specifically ask for inside treatment. Then, they only spot spray the area where you saw the insects. Well, if I see a bug in one place they are probably in other places too and I would prefer that they spray the entire inside. They won't do it. I had both the pest guy and service person on the phone tell me this. I don't have time to call and be home every time I see a bug inside the house so they can spray one spot. I also don't want to pay full price for half the service. Looking for a new pest control company that does what they're paid to do; full treatment. read more

He listened carefully to my description of the ants I had seen then he diligently addressed the problem. He made sure I knew what his treatments would be and asked if I had any other questions. I already had a bad experience with them (the technician never showed up). They redeemed themselves because they we apologetic and willing to right their wrong. Everything went fine until I moved and needed exterminating for my new home. The technician was suppose to come between 11:30-2:30, so I had my brother at my home. They told me they came at 11:30 and no one was home when they arrived (total lie) . Then they told me, fine a technician may be able to come out before 3pm. So I had to ask my mom to come to my home. Guess what, they never came nor did they even call me to inform they weren't coming . My mom was waiting until 5:30. Seriously these people do not value your time. This company is smoke and mirrors , costumer service and reminders were good but they don't show up for services . ** I tried giving them another chance. Service was scheduled between 5-7. They called me at 7:30 saying they would be at my home in 45 min. Seriously ?? I just hung up and gave up . read more

James was very courteous and spent time talking to us about what to expect from Bulwark and his visits. I am very happy with Bulwark! Charlie Arrott is our tech and he does a great job! He is always prompt, courteous, and I have been very satisfied with the maintenance service. We had an ant issue in our master bath recently, and as soon as I called Bulwark I was able to have Charlie here the next day and he was very thorough and was careful about where he sprayed (I like using a minimal amount of chemicals in my home).
