Pam and Armando came today and sanitized our laundry room . They pulled the washer and dryer out and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the area that was invaded by rats . They did an excellent job! Pam had come alone previously and tried to do this job by herself but really needed an additional hand moving the washer and dryer. Armando had also come previously to help set traps and seal weep holes . Both of these technicians and the other team member , Ian, did an exceptional job helping get rid of the rats! I called them to remove a critter that was living in my attic/wall. They arrived with really fancy rodent van. It looked like a Ghostbusters level vehicle. He found the source of the entry, got on a ladder and took a picture. His solution: wait til I don't hear it anymore and call them back and they can seal it up. Seriously? Paid 59$ for this - for nothing. I called wildescapes. Matthew said "I'm gonna come put a one-way trap up there, seal all but the trap and I'm gonna do it right now" The squirrel was gone by the afternoon. I will say biotech called me back an hour after their tech was out here. Office person asked if I would like them to come put a one-way trap on the vent? You know what??? that would've been an excellent suggestion for the tech to make while he's sitting here talking to me and STARING AT MY HOUSE but it's too late now. We have been using this company since we bought our house almost 10 years ago and I am renew with them each and every year. The price has creeped up a lot more now but we still continue to use them because I really value their professionalism. Starting last year I had a problem in my living room. I knew it was coming from the ceiling but had no idea how or what it was. It was like tiny bits of wood shavings were falling down. I recently had my A/C stop cooling. After getting a technician out, he showed me the problem: ants in the wiring causing a part to short out and stop the cooling. I researched pest control companies and decided to call Bio-Tech. I am glad that I did. The owner came out to assess the problem and discovered another issue as well. He sat at my table, drew a schematic of how he would treat the area around the A/C unit and house, and gave me a reasonable quote. He was very knowledgeable about the Crazy ants and professional in the way he explained the procedures to me. I accepted his bid and a few days later a crew was out here to do the treatment plan. The service and price agreed upon via telephone were fine. However, when the tech finished the installation he presented me with paperwork for me to sign that I did not agree with the contents. The forms sated that Bio tech would NOT be responsible if termites damaged my house after their product was installed. Lee came out to inspect our attic after we saw a suspicious indent in our insulation (did something lay down? IS IT BUILDING A NEST?!) I used Bio-Tech for the first time this year. I used them for an annual treatment and also the annual fire ant treatment. I haven't had a single fire ant after the treatment over 6 months ago. The annual regular pest service is great also, we had a few spiders pop up over the last month and they did not hesitate to come spray again. A consultant will go over, listen to your project, and provide comprehensive review of their assessment--patiently explaining each step and associated costs. Their employees are well vetted and are as competent as they are professional. They also photo-document their progress and summarize their work before they leave. 2) Service: BioTech offers a variety of services and will customize each project to cater to your specific needs. No other company that I spoke/worked with provided the depth of analysis that BioTech did. They have done everything from rats, exclusion, flies, roaches, ants, and more. 3) Timeliness -- when I take a day off to honor a scheduled service appointment, I expect the same in kind. I will not work with a company that assumes I'll be okay with a last minute reschedule. I certainly understand that some projects take longer than others... Unexpected things happen. So far this has not happened with BioTech, at all. I've been a Bio-Tech customer for over 5 years now, and they are the best pest removal / prevention company I have ever used hands down. The few pests I see after their treatments are already dead. They guarantee their treatments for a year... any recurring issue you might have will be handled promptly, & free of charge. I saw their guarantee in action recently when I purchased a pest care package for my parents who live in Kingwood. My parents have lived with crazy ants for many years and no company could ever get rid of them. They tried Orkin among other big name companies, & several smaller local companies over the years... no one could get rid of those things. After a while they simply gave up. The crazy ants were all over the house, especially in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. I gave Bio-Tech a call and explained the problem. They treated my parents house, inside and outside, and the crazy ants were reduced considerably. They came back twice and re-treated the inside and the outside. Each time the crazy ants were reduced, but not completely eliminated. On the third re-treatment, they successfully located the crazy ants nesting area outside and bombed it. They re-treated the entire outside and inside again just to be sure. Mind you, all of these re-treatments were free of charge. Since that time, my parents haven't seen one crazy ant, or any other pests for that matter. Bio-Tech persisted and succeeded where 4-5 other companies failed. My Mom in particular has thanked me profusely many times for recommending Bio-Tech and says that was the best gift they have ever received. The chemicals that Bio-Tech uses inside of the house are safe for humans... their technicians don't use any respiratory protection. There are instructions to avoid direct contact (i.e. touching) with the wet sprayed surfaces after their inside treatment, but these areas dry quickly. The outside applications come with instructions to stay off of the grass for a few hours. That's it. I don't have pets so I cannot speak to whether they are safe to stay in the house immediately following a treatment. If you have pest problems, I promise that you cannot go wrong with Bio-Tech. They provide outstanding service and have kept my house pest free for 5+ years. My parents house has been pest free for over a year now... just renewed their service in January, much to their delight. I wish that every company solved problems as quickly and assuredly as they do. All of their technicians that I have dealt with have been on time, professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. They really do care and listen. I've been using Bio-Tech Pest Control for years. They have helped me battle ants, regular and fire, knocked down multiple wasps nests, and provided general pest control inside and outside my home. But let me tell you what you should absolutely use them for: Termites. I made a huge mistake in not using their termite service for one of my rentals while the property was still young. Nope, I waited until the tenant called me to report termite damage and live termites on the window sills. They also damaged baseboard in a back bedroom. Bio-Tech did their termite thing and we stopped seeing them. I compounded the mistake by cheaping out and not renewing the contract. That's where they make sure they don't come back. It takes time to annihilate them all. Then I considered selling the property and realized I had to disclose the termite damage. Which meant I needed to prove there were no more live termites. So, Bio-Tech to the rescue again. They were nice enough to honor the renewal price. (There was some live activity discovered and handled.) I then decided it was best to have Bio-Tech do my own home which is newer. Did you know that termites love new wood? Fortunately, they did not find any live termite action this time. But I want to make sure I never see one inside the house. I will renew the contract for both properties. (I didn't sell the rental.) BTW: It cost about $1500 to fix the termite damage in the rental. Lot more than an annual termite renewal contract with Bio-Tech. More than that, I won't have termite damage to disclose if I ever want to sell my home.
