As the highest rated pest control business in the city, I had high expectations for their service based on their online reputation. Over the series of experiences I've had, it was strangely somewhere in the middle. The positive side was that they were incredibly responsive. The customer service is on point and the attitude of their management is definitely a class act. I have no doubt this is a major driver for their most positive reviews and deservedly so. The part where I struggle is the mixed experiences from the various technicians that had come to one of my properties that had an ant, cockroach, and spider problem. The initial $160 was a bit higher than I expected, but a small price that I was willing to pay to rid the property of creepy crawlers. Jason and Servando (sp) extremely brief in their initial run of the place. Even after their treatment, I still saw plenty of spider action where it was clear were not that thorough. After explaining my situation to their staff, they assigned the manager at the time, Daniel, to come back and apply treatment the way he intended. He went nuclear with a whole host of sprays and was extremely thorough both inside and out. His work made a world of difference and there was very little bug activity for close to a year. He was thorough in his explanaition and super transparent with his approach. If every experience was this thorough I think I'd be more receptive to future service. He has unfortunately left the company. Typically they recommend treatment 3 to 4 months. The subsequent visits after my initial concerns were not charged, which I'm thankful for but should not have taken that many times just to get the desired result. It was close to $250 for carpet ant treatment, which felt out of my budget but was assured that the chemicals would be different than the standard ones used for treatment. I was presented with a 30 and 60-day warranty which is fine but not something I elected to go for this past time around. While I'm sure they've done stellar work for other households and other properties, I do wish that I was able to experience the same magic on a consistent basis. read more

I requested service for removing an opossum. The technician showed up thirty minutes late, looked in my garage for all of 120 seconds and tells me the opossum is gone. Thus, I should have no worries. Well, the same day in the late afternoon, we find the opposum still living in the garage. It's extremely clear that this person did not take the time to do a thorough inspection. On top of it all, when I called back to voice my concerns, the individual who answered the phone asked me to hold while she gets me rescheduled for a different technician. She left me on hold for over fifteen minutes and never came back! I called right back and they were closed. I'm canceling my existing pest control services, and I will never use this company again for services. It's extremely disappointing how unprofessional this company was, especially after having wronged me. Absolutely terrible! read more

Ashton came in, gave good advice, paid attention to all my concerns (including wasp nests, Yellowjacket nests, and spiders), took care of it, and did it with a casual but professional attitude. Positive energy that's always pleasant to work with when dealing with someone entering your home. A big plus was he was attentive to entering the home with respect, putting on shoe covers and a mask. Extremely happy with the service they provide: from the office to the field. I submitted a quote request via yelp and had a response within an hour or two. The receptionist I spoke with tailored a plan to fit my needs. I live near a wooded area and she basically knew what I needed. We worked out an initial inspection with pest prevention treatment and a quarterly visit from an exterminator to respray poison/chemical. The exterminator, Clayton, came by and did an initial inspection and sprayed his treatment throughout my home, attic, backyard, perimeter fence, and front yard. He told us that he killed the biggest black widow he's seen in his pest prevention career so we were very excited that he came by. I have been using Bugco for pest control for several years, so shame on me for not leaving a review until now. Normally, they just come by for quarterly service, spray around outside without even interrupting my day, and leave my house bug free. Occasionally, like today, when I have a particular issue pop up, I call and schedule indoor service. Brandon came by and walked through the house with me. I showed him the areas where I'm having problems, he diagnosed the issue, took care of it, and counseled me on ways to avoid the problems going forward. I live in an old home with lots of crevices for unwanted visitors. I've used Terminex and a couple other companies throughout the years that are very hit or miss depending on the tech you get. I always come back to Bugco. They're reasonably priced, techs are very knowledgeable, always have great customer service, and more importantly get the job done correctly the first time. They do provide a warranty on their services where they'll come back out, but I've never had to use it. I have received several treatments at my apartment through a contract with HUD for the management. However, these have been recently of only brief duration. I have seen a continual influx of dozens to twenties of roaches from in the water piping here in Alvin. For the first time in years our outside spider issues were illuminated and we hardly ever see a roach that's alive. Before I had terminix and well, it was post-3months and there are still a lot of roaches, spiders, etc etc. He was very thorough, explained that I needed to caulk under the sink, and explained how close off any entry into the house. I also opted for the yard treatment. I will update in 3 months. Okay so not only did he spray my house but I had a light switch installed but just opened, another entry in. They are prompt at returning phone calls, they show up on time, they are honest and up front with their pricing, and their billing is precise, itemized, and detailed. They have a lot of hidden fees. There was a $79.99 inspection fee for the visit plus a trip charge, but the 79.99 did not include any service. Don't know why a trip charge is included if no treatment is done. My wife talked to one of the women in the office (on speaker phone) who said the total would be $154.95, so the technician and I both heard it as well. We thought that was too high, but agreed to it. When he finished the service, he said the total was $167.73. We balked at that number because it was not what we were told on the phone and it was much higher than originally anticipated. We were able to get it knocked down to $154.26, but decided to not hire them for quarterly service due to the way they handled the pricing. read more

They are so good, we've only needed them twice over 11 months. We had them out right after we moved in last summer since the house had been vacant and the ants and roaches had taken over the yard and were finding their way inside. Within days, all traces of them were gone and we didn't see a single one again until Spring when everything came out of hibernation!
