I called Budget to come and take care of mice and squirrels that were in my attic. They promptly came to the house and examined my attic. After a close examination, they told me they would trap the squirrels, bait the roof rats and close all the openings to the house. They would then go back and "decontaminate" attic. I was desperate because I had squirrels literally running through my house at night and had no one to turn to. Miguel sounded professional and seemed like he knew what he was doing. The total cost was $1,325!! Even though the contract stated they would trap and remove the squirrels to prevent them from dying in the attic, there were never any traps used. His team showed up with just bait and put bait in the attic. I called Miguel and asked why he was not using traps and he stated that it would take too much time. Isn't that why I'm paying you $1,325?! After going in circles with Miguel, I decided that he is the expert and I'll leave it to his discretion. WRONG! After the job was finished, they sealed the attic as detailed in the contract. I'm not sure if they actually sprayed any disinfectant in the attic because I did not see any sprayers with his crew anytime they went in the attic. A few weeks later I started to notice an extremely fowl smell coming from the wall of the bathroom. The smell of a dead, rotting corpse. I called Miguel and told him that something died in the walls because of the bait he used. He said it was not likely but would send someone out to check. His tech came to take a look and noticed the foul odor. He kept trying to claim it was a sewer drain or vent. Now, I have smelled my fair share of sewage, but this smell was nothing even remotely close. This was a rotting animal smell and cannot be mistaken. Miguel told me to call a plumber. So, I did. I had a plumber come and fully inspect the drain and vent and he said there were no breaks or anything that would cause sewage odor to leak into the house. He did mention that there were an abnormal amount of flies and that was indicative of something dead. He also agreed that the smell was not of sewage but of a dead animal. I called Miguel again and explained there was a dead animal and it was not related to plumbing. He told me a dead rat or squirrel would only smell for 5 days. However, this smell went on for about a month. Miguel was not willing to do anything to remedy the situation he created. Had he used traps as he originally stated IN HIS OWN CONTRACT, this problem would not have occurred. I could have bought rat poison and some flashing material and done this job on my own with similar results and saved myself over $1000. I hired a professional to prevent having a dead animal in my wall. What did I get? A dead animal in my wall... All for the low, low price of $1325. Nothing like waking up in the morning to the smell of a rotting squirrel. Thanks Miguel!! read more

I called and was told I had an appointment Monday at 11am. This is a rental property so I arrived about 5 minutes early. I got a call from a technician at 11:05 saying he was on the way and he was 50 minutes away. I said "this was an 11am appointment". I let him know I was not going to stay and wait. Less than 1 minute later I got called back by the owner. I said "this was an 11am appointment" to which he said "I am short handed today". I run a company and I understand being short handed. The problem for me is that being short handed was not something that started at 11am. A text or phone call earlier would have changed everything. I have 5 other rental properties and sadly I will have to try to find someone else. read more

Been using Budget Pest Control to just do semi-annual spraying for roaches and general bugs since I bought my home. In the 2 years I lived there, never seen a live roach and have come home to a dead roach along the wall trim only 2-3 times. I live in Houston so I am not going to assume there are no roaches in the building structure...but pretty happy with results. Also, never seen a silverfish in my home since I have had Budget spraying there. I used to get dozens of these in my bathroom when I lived in rental apartments. Everyone I have dealt with at this company has been friendly and professional. They've recognized me as a repeat customer and have thanked me for that. Budget Pest Control Services Inc. deserves 4 stars. The reason I did not give them a 5 stars is because after the final service, a bat somehow came inside my house. The bat was flying around and scared me to death. Which is totally not all there fault. Budget gave us a nice quote on getting rid of BATs in our attic. I noticed bats were flying outside of my house early AM morning when I was heading to work. Then I started to hearing noises on one side of the wall in my house. Husband called around for pest control. After my husband spoke to Miguel he decided to go with Budget PCS Inc. Roger did all the labor work. He was very nice and explain many of questions I had. In getting rid of bats in our attic, it took several processes. First they put like a black screen net so the bats can no longer get in the attic. Once they leave the attic they can not go back in. Roger clean all the entrance where the bats flew in. He used some kind of cleanser like bleach. This is supposed to get rid of the scent so the bats can not enter back into the attic. Then they used some kind of grout to seal all the entrances. Roger came back in a week to flush the attic out. I'm guessing this is where that 1 bat stayed in my attic. The bat must have been hiding somewhere in the attic at that time of the flushing. It could not longer find a way out of the attic. I am assuming the only way out was through the ac vent inside our house. My gosh, when that bat was flying in my house. I screamed like there was no tomorrow. I grab my 3 kids and ran into the bedroom while my husband had to catch it. There is a 2 year warranty on the bat services. I hope I will never ever see bats again especially in and outside my house. read more

His services were excellent at the beginning, however I have noticed his employees starting to slack off in their level of service that I have experienced in the past. Inconsistent treatment frequency, inconsistent quality of work, and poor follow up. Do not know if his company is getting busier or due to lack of help. Prices have steadily increased from when he started servicing my buildings to where I am beginning to question staying with him or not. This company is great. The owner came out for our initial consultation, made everything very easy to understand and did a thorough job.
