I was looking forward to trying Willy's for brunch today after reading all the positive reviews. Well, my experience wasn't all that great. First, the staff was very lenient with patrons not wearing masks at all; they openly allowed customers who weren't wearing masks to enter the restaurant and proceed as if there are no indoor mask mandates. Second, the pancakes were not tasteless, flat, and a waste of money and calories. Not sure if it was an "off" day but I was expecting better. Third, there was no social distancing between tables inside. While I realize that things are improving, I find it odd given that no COVID indoor dining rules have been lifted yet. The two good things -- wait staff was attentive and the Eggs Benedict dish (although the eggs were over cooked)tasted better than my pancakes. I was tempted to rate this a 2 but the staff and Eggs Benedict slightly lifted this place to a 3. I won't be returning again though. read more

My boss had been trying to get me to try this place for nearly two years but I wrote it off thinking it would just be your typical greasy spoon that claimed to be Greek and instead would be a burger joint. I was wrong! The gyro was just as good as any you'd find in a the Greek neighborhood eateries on the other side of town. The pita fresh, veggies crisp - overall just delicious and refreshing. The rice was delicious and then I added the broth to it - I could have just eaten this and been satisfied. I saw this place when I was getting food at another spot so I decided to try this place again when I had to get lunch. Pretty small place but there are some tables and chairs to eat in. I ordered the Willy's Greek Chicken Wrap with the salad. For the price the wrap tasted good and everything went well together but personally I like Greek style wraps with tzatziki but then again it's a different take on it. The salad was good but I'm not a real fan of balsamic dressing and the olives with the pits still in them. I would definitely try their breakfast next time if I am in the area and give this place another shot. read more

Pretty good eggs Benedict but it does not earn the high price when you factor in surrounding neighborhood, interior decor, music selection, order at counter, etc. Next time I will try hash browns instead of "Those Potatoes (50 cents extra)" to keep my costs down. Good breakfast burrito. Size was good. Got charged extra $0.50-$1.00 I guess for getting hash brown or getting sausage, not sure. According to the menu it's an up charge for potatoes, not sure if hash brown has an up charge. Called the order in, would've liked it if they would've mentioned the up charge on the phone. Total came out to $9.71 so got charged for extras that I'm unaware of. According to the menu it's supposed to be $7.99 for breakfast burrito. I didn't request for a receipt so not sure what the extras were. Still a solid place. I would go back but prob ask if there's extra charge for the items I ordered. read more

My partner and I ate here as we were leaving Anaheim and wanted something quick. The employees were friendly and the breakfast looked good. The gyro sandwich was great and I definitely want to come back for another one next time I'm in Anaheim. My partner ordered the veal gyro sandwich but got chicken instead. He said although he didn't get his veal, it was still really good. The pita was so soft and the chicken in the chicken gyro wasn't dry. I go here yearly from Seattle and I come for the amazing eggs Benedict. The owner is always there and great to talk to . So it has been 2 years because of covid and I finally was able to go again . Upon arriving I noticed a slight change . The place was 98% cleaner ,the menu was expanded ,but the originals were still all there. Was curious to see if the eggs benedict here was going to be as good as advertised -- IT DEFINITELY EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS. The flavor and creaminess exploded with every bite! To add to that, the hash browns were also well done (not too burnt + not overly greasy). Didn't really get to try the gyro since it was my bf's order and I was already full with the eggs but I had a bite and it was decent. He seemed to have no complaints either since the plate was empty by the end of our meal. Service was also very attentive and friendly. We were served by the bald gentleman w/ glasses and he has great customer service -- very kind and welcoming. Willie doesn't own the place anymore but you still get a sense that you're visiting a friend and he's cooking you breakfast. Everything was fresh and made-to-order. There's not much in the way of atmosphere and I get the feeling that most people get it to go. for us we were just looking for a good breakfast before getting back on the road. We walked right in and ordered at the counter. There were empty tables during this weekday, so we got special service from the owner (?) who chatted with us (at our table) about their specials. So this is like my billionth time here, not only because the eggs benedict variations are beyond delicious, but I never give 5 stars unless the customer service is exceptional. Gabriel earned these 5 stars. This gentleman has always been courteous, attentive, always had a positive attitude, and is literally 30% of the reason why I return. It's a family owned restaurant, and you can taste it in the food. Original, delicious, and you can feel the love added to the food as an extra spice, if you will. Come check this place out.
