Haven't met a sandwich I don't like. My new favorite -- birria sandwich. Think of it as a Mexican style French dip. The aroma captured me and then the flavors which is why I completely forgot to take a photo. Guess I'll have to go back and have it again. This spot is located on the bottom floor of the Packing House. They had a big menu but we decided to go with 3 burgers and 2 loaded fries. I like that everything is fried in beef tallow! My brother and I decided to go here after wandering around and I can say that this place is good! I had the wagyu smash burger and it's pretty decent! The burger itself is a bit dry but the cheese and sauce balance it out. The cheese does get a bit overwhelming at times but other than that it's pretty good! The size of the burger too is big in my opinion (I don't usually eat very much) but the burger is definitely good to split between 2 people! This restaurant fit perfectly into the ambiance of The Packing District, which features a modern, cozy atmosphere and offers many different menu options. I ordered the smash burger which did not let me down. The smash burger that I ordered was extremely juicy, flavorful, and was cooked to perfection. The smash burger that I ordered also included a nice caramelized crust, which provides a smash burger additional flavor. I paired my smash burger with their gravy smothered fries, topped with fried chicken. Their gravy smothered fries were excellent because they were very crispy prior to being smothered in gravy, and the fried chicken on top of the gravy provided an additional crunchy texture and seasonings to each bite of the fries and to the gravy. The combination of the gravy smothered fries and fried chicken made for a rich and deliciously flavored dish that could have easily been its own holiday treat. Inside the Kroft there was very little seating. However, despite the large crowds and long wait lines during the holidays, the Kroft staff were friendly and helpful! Getting a table and having a chance to enjoy their food while experiencing the great vibe of the Packing District was relatively simple and enjoyable. My experience at the Kroft was both satisfying and fun and has already got me thinking about returning to the Kroft when I go to the Anaheim Packing District again, where I will definitely order another smash burger! read more

Was craving for fried chicken sandwich so was in the area and heard good things about this place is checked it out. Located on the lower level at the Anaheim Packing District Place. Parking can be tough but they do have valid parking and street parking. Menu is great with varies choices. Got the spicy chicken sandwich. Staff were nice and the place is small but clean and well decor. They have small seating area right in-front of the counter. The food is good, tasting and well season but not hot at all but then again I love heat so this is just nothing. The owner was taking pics for new dish, pastrami pickles fries and he offered to me after he done. Quite tasting and the pastrami is not bad, if you like sour then this would be a great one to order but for me abit sour so after 4-5 pieces of fries with the sauce I had to gave up but I did finished the pastrami pieces. Our burgers were so delicious and filling. We both tried their new signature smash burgers ; the spicy jack smash burger and the French onion dip smash burger. They were both good but somehow tasted almost the same in terms of toppings. The only major difference of course is the sauce it includes (still good!). They weren't too greasy and didn't sit heavy on a full stomach. I wish they gave more complimentary sauces alongside their combos but it's 37cents extra per more sauce. My son was arriving at LGB aka Long Beach Airport and so after picking him up we went to LBX Hangar to see what interests my taste buds when I walk around the food court. So I saw their rotisserie cooking up the pork belly Porchetta and so I went with the Porchetta sandwich. Some cheese curds with garlic Mayo and a French onion smash burger. The service was ok, at least there were no mistakes. The burger and sandwich were good. The Porchetta on ciabatta was a bit oily, but very tasty. I would actually try some of their other sandwiches. Small seating area (to be expected it's the packing district), the menu is plentiful and the workers are helpful, especially with a lot of items I've never tried before. I usually get the country fried chicken poutine. It comes with sausage gravy, cheese curds, chicken nuggets, bacon, and green onions. The last time I got this, the chicken was very dry, almost overcooked, but this time it was piping hot and the right amount of crisp. Personally, I think there needs to be more gravy and more fries. I went upstairs got a spot only to remember I didn't get my drink so I went back and I asked the girl in pick up she said she couldn't give it to me I had to go to the line again. Really for a drink I already paid for and I even showed her the receipt attached. So I had to wait again for a while just to get to the front and ask she said oh yeah the online is specific when you order and if it didn't have anything then we don't serve it. It was a loss of time it's just a cup of a drink paid for the first girl should have helped. Ugh Only to try to get the spot back and of course it was taken. So the burgers sauce was messy. I felt the Double patty advertised is s super thin one that doesn't even make one normal size. I felt that it was.more brioche bun and sauce than anything. I don't get to come here often with the weekday rush, but had a chance to stop by on a Monday afternoon with a contractor who was in town. I went with the Philly cheesesteak and the Wagyu beef poutine. The cheesesteak was honestly pretty basic and didn't really stand out compared to others I've had. The Wagyu poutine had good flavor and was definitely the better of the two, but it leaned very salty--the sauce was a bit overpowering and didn't quite live up to the hype. The Packing District itself was pretty quiet at that time, and not everything was open, which made for a more low-key experience. The Kroft is one of the many "walk up" food options in the Anaheim Packing District, and is located on the lower floor. They have their own dedicated seating area with several tables, or you can order your food and take it anywhere in the building. I was craving a good burger and ordered their Spicy Jack Smash Cheeseburger. You give the cashier your phone number and they text you when your order is ready. Food pick up is right around the corner from the register at the front of the eatery. The cashier was very friendly, and upon request she gave me a plastic cup for their free ice water dispenser. They were moderately busy and it only took about five minutes for my burger to be ready. There is a row of half-booth/tables right in front of The Kroft and a friend and I ate there. My burger had a great soft, buttery bun with plenty of smash burger meat sticking out. Both patties had a nice char on them, and overall the burger had great flavor. Unfortunately, the heat level was very mild. I was expected more of a kick with spicy jack cheese and roasted jalapeno garlic mayo. My friend had the regular Double Wagyu Smash Cheeseburger and enjoyed it. For $2 less, I would just get that next time. He ordered the spicy fries which had a reddish sprinkle on them, and those were indeed pretty spicy, probably around a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. The Kroft has good burgers reasonably priced, but the lack of spice on my burger left me wanting more.
