Wow this is a huge burger and delicious! Lots of pickles my favorite service was great and fast. I love how the drive thru is lit at night and there's plenty of parking too. Once again you rocked it. Thank you
Found this place via Yelp. The reviews looked promising so decided to give this place a try. Got their steak torta, bacon cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings and fried zucchini. The only items that were good were the steak torta and fries. (See picture for reference). I'd stay away from the fried zucchini and onion rings. Their batter is very bland and has no flavor whatsoever. The bacon cheeseburger was mid, the bacon was the only thing that saved it.
I always drive by this place and I never stop. So I had some free time today and decided to go. Samantha recommended the chicken sandwich with cheese and avocado. It's was delicious. Samantha was very helpful. I think she needs a raise.
For being a Anaheim local i thought most burger places still had a certain nostalgia that kept me coming back but after my last experience at varsity im sadly mistaken. How hard would it be to make fresh rice compared to bag microwaved rice for teriyaki bowls. And the french fries i might add tasted stale almost as if they had been in the freezer too long. Sad to say i dont think id be coming back anytime soon. over all service was okay could tell the cashier could careless about being there and it was almost a burden to have my order taken .
Something you probably don't expect to order from Varsity Burgers is their chicken soup but it is delicious! Flavorful and thick not a watery soup. Nice chicken chunks and so satisfying on a rainy day! This was delivered to my work and it arrived carefully packaged and nice and hot.
Drive thru service was on point and breakfast burrito was stuffed with goodness. We ordered bacon with no beans and they gave generous portions of eggs. Pastrami sandwich was meaty and delicious. Affordable and enjoyed our meal
I was excited to enjoy some chicken cheese fries that I haven't had in forever. I was definitely disappointed that the quality had gone down. I order extra chicken and definitely got a normal size portion. When I asked about the extra chicken the staff said that's extra chicken and shrugged their shoulders. I paid an extra $5 dollars for extra chicken for me not to get it. On top of that the chicken was dry and burnt. No sense of customer service and no accountability. If there is a next time I'll definitely won't order extra chicken.
I am from out of town and heard charbroil burgers are Great burgers. My goal was to go to Carl's Jr but decided to try Varsity Burgers since their Sign read Charbroil Burgers. I was hungry because I just came from a funeral service. Before I left I spoke with Mr Roque the manager and told him the Hamburger was NOT A Charlbroil Burger, it had no grill lines nor did the Burger have a Charlbroil taste, the fries were over cooked. The meat patty was thinner then a Big Mac burger and they over did it on the thousand island dressing. Needless to say I was not pleased and the Manager did not even offer me a discount, all he said is sorry. Varsity has No business Advertising " Charlbroil Burgers" this business should be reported to the BBB. Customers are not getting what they are paying for.
I used to go here all the time when I lived in the area and now that I'm visiting I'm happy to see the food is still as amazing as it was before. I always get the avocado bacon burger and fries. Still a great price and very filling. Some of the best fries in Anaheim. Girls at the counter were friendly and it's always clean. Will be stopping here every trip I make
Great food, great value, clean establishment. It's Sunday evening and I'm not cooking dinner, so I wanted a quick and satisfying meal to end the weekend. I did a quick tiktok search for burgers in the area and Varsity Burgers came up. My sis in law has frequented this place before, so that was all the recommendations I needed to give In N Out a rest. The place is easy to find and upon pulling up I could tell I wasn't the only one looking for a easy Sunday dinner. There is a drive thru which makes it convenient for on-the-go, but I definitely wanted the full experience. Although it was a packed house, there was plenty of parking as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Walked right in and was greeted at the cashier. The menu is clear to read, simple and to the point. On top of your classic burger joint menu items, they also offered vegetarian options and Mexican food. I opted for a bacon cheeseburger combo with zucchini and a drink. My partner had the same with added avocado and fries. Although busy, we were able go get a booth and within minutes our order was ready. The drinks are self-serve; Pepsi products and iced tea. They also had aguas like Orange Bang and Horchata. There are plenty of extra condiments to satisfy your palate, too, like pico de gallo, yellow chili's, etc. My first bite was the zucchini because that's ultimately what drives me to burger joints like this and I loved the batter to zucchini ratio. It was just to my liking. There was a nice thin layer of crunch and a healthy chunk of zucchini, paired with the ranch to dip and it was the perfect bite. The batter could be better, but this was still very good and satisfying. The burger was so satisfying. Although it was a single patty, the cheese and bacon add a hearty element on top of the tomato, lettuce, onion and pickles. About halfway through, I had to remove the pickles and tomato because I didn't want to have leftover burger (leftover zucchini tastes good in the airfryer). After finishing the burger, I was so stuffed. The food sat well in my stomach, not too heavy or greasy - just right. I'm glad I came here and had such a good experience. I'll keep this place in mind when I'm in the area and craving a classic burger or some good fried zucchini.
I tried the jalapeño cheeseburger and it was a really nice size at a very decent price. Service was fast and friendly. They also have a drive through. Very clean restaurant.
Burger was good. Had good flavor. Onion rings. Not that good. Didn't seem crispy. Seemed old. Idk. Wouldn't get them again. I really wanted them too. 15$ for the whole combo. I think 14$ change. Tax. Pretty high. Old good in n out is cheaper and better still.

I just ordered food from the drive through. There were 2 cars ahead of me. Menu was easy to read. I got my food quickly in less than 5 minutes. The staff were very friendly. I ordered quesadilla with bacon and breakfast burrito grande with no beans. The quesadilla was delicious and was loaded with bacon. It had a lot of cheese also. The breakfast burrito grande with no beans was huge. You can see the burrito in the picture. I loved the burrito. It was loaded with everything I ordered. I would love to come here again. The prices were good. I highly recommend Varsity Burger and give it 5 stars out of 5. read more
Most mediocre burger that I've had in years. Save yourself the time and money, just go to IN N OUT. Paid like $18 for two double cheeseburgers with extra cheese. They came out cold and just weren't good tbh. Don't get me wrong they are huge but not worth it in the end. The quality is subpar. Based off my experience today, I will not order anything ever again from this establishment. read more

Solid service yesterday when I came in for some breakfast items to go. Grabbed two grande burritos and a breakfast sandwich. The burritos are so big! You should a quarter at a time. This morning I chopped up the leftover burrito and reheated it in a pan, it could feed a family, see pics. I usually am with my dog, so I don't come inside that often, but this is really a nice dining room. read more

My work ordered several items togo. Thank you for making sure all of our items and sauces were included. Nothing worse than having things missing or no sauce to dip your fries. Your attention to detail was appreciated. Our food was delicious and looked great too. read more

Order kids meal bean cheese add bacon burrito it's the bomb. So so good Pastrami sandwich fantastic. We could only eat half saving the rest for lunch tomorrow. Great deal. Just make sure they give you correct condiments before leaving. I asked for salsa an got thousand island dressing. Kids yikes read more
For the price and portion size, it's very much worth it. The drive through is convenient for those that don't like getting out and it can be a little bit of a wait time but I rather wait than have raw food. Either way the food is excellent and they don't put an overwhelming amount of lettuce in their burgers like most places. The only thing that can be an issue here is the location. During peak traffic hours, it can be hard to get out. read more

The hamburger SIZE was huge! There was even a drive-thru. Staff was nice and cordial. The inside seemed clean. I ordered two double bacon cheeseburgers with fries. Definitely don't recommend any fries because they tasted pretty ordinary. In-N-Out fries are better. However, generous amount of bacons and BIG patty loaded with chopped lettuce and onions! One of these and I was full! Beef patty was big in diameter but thin. Drink - got to try Orange BANG. Free refills - even better. I never got a free refill at other hamburget joints before - usually cost like $0.50 (cents) or more to refill. I love Salsa Bar - reminded me of the good old days before the pandemic when everything was open and deliciously plentiful. The best part was the Salsa Bar. This was my first time seeing Salsa Bar since before the pandemic! Pickled jalepenos - YUMMY! They had other Mexican food here too. Best of both world although I did not try any Mex dishes this day. If I live closer to Anaheim, I would return but driving here from home is far for me. Parkings - there are plenty of parkings surrounding the restaurant. read more

Used to love this place, really disappointed and surprised that they changed their sizing on beverages in what world is this considered a regular this is a small and insane that this business is charging basically five dollars for a small... food is all right, but I shouldn't have to spend more than five dollars for a small drink... read more

Sometimes you just want something nostalgic. And convenient...yeah for a drive thru. Almost went with a burger, but then saw the pastrami. How do you pass up that beautiful stack of meat?! It did not disappoint. It was DELICIOUS and so filling (I could only eat half). Next time the burger meal. read more

Chili cheese fries are sooo good. Quality ingredients used for the fries chilli and bacon. It's really a restaurant you grab a quick good bite from. I also had the double cheeseburger with bacon and it is delicious. My meal was made in less the 10 minutes. Place is very clean and they clean like every ten minutes unless needed earlier! The people working here are really nice and hardworking! Family vibe inside and quick service in drive through. read more

This review is for the drive through experience. The wait was short and the cashier was friendly. I went on a not so busy time of the day craving some fried zucchini. I had not had the ones from varsity burger and, man was I not disappointed. I was expecting a portion size equivalent to a side, but the order of fried zucchini was huge! Tasty and crunchy. Craving was satisfied. read more
